You can use any oii you like.
I've used olive oil and it has a strong flavor but I am okay with it.

Talk too much for something so simple. You can do it faster with a stick blender. Dont do it with a beater. Pour everything in a tall cup and put your stick blender and blend. Takes 30 seconds.
