I appreciate you pointing out my error! Yes, That is a best practice - that is no doubt. I have more than 10 devices in my collective now and they are connected via 2 50 ft data cables. The reason why its best to power down the collective first when adding a new one is because of how the devices can power other devices via the command bus!
