  • .Instead of putting out 4 videos i decided to string them together on the PC, as i had to try and lighten them up a bit as well, the dark scenes were unwatchable before i processed it. This was an experiment to see if i could do a video over an hour since i had so much of it for this movie, although its still a touch darker than i would like in parts its really not that bad and this is mission accomplished lol , i do this as a hobby ...........thanks for watching !!

    OUTSTANDING movie and soundtrack - SO in love with Marina, have been since day one! THIS is true production to its highest level! Donna Murphy was superb. Of all the movies this one embodied the 'family' they had all become on the ship and the streght of the values they all held dear. Also we see Picard fall in love for the first time with Anij. Jerry Goldsmith's touching score and soundtrack are just the perfect icing on the cake for this project. I commend this movie to anyone who hasnt seen it - GO GET IT NOW!

    The issue with this film is they concentrated more on the “wow” effects instead of the story. This was basically another episode where they save an alien planet from alien oppression, while Generations and first contact were about much deeper issues in general

      Paramount didn't want another 'dark' Star Trek movie which unfortunately diluted the story's original intent. I still like it though.

    25:33 - 30:07 me and my brother snuck into the campground that all the personnel and makeup trailers where. We got a few autographs on my dad’s action figures. Then we got caught by security but escaped.

      Picard 1 and 2 had the wrong writers and the stories been utter crap. Season 3 was the best, and i think if that was moulded into one, i think that would have been our final next Gen film sadly.

      @@procta2343 PS3 had many of the same writers as S1 & 2. Matalas was one of them. Yes, it was marginally better and more true to Trek storytelling. But, IMO, the writers dropped the ball on multiple levels with PS3.

      Absolutely. For many shows designers seem to be afraid of anything that has any glint of optimism or brighness about it. If has it brightness it has to be all blue. Movie/TV design is such a fashion industry. I'd love to see a meld of the designs used in the movie "Passengers" with a Star Trek story.

      the problem about the look and design of the movie is that everything looked cheap, the sets looked cheap, the costumes looked like they were just made the day before. Nothing felt lived in.

    IMO Insurrection was the last official Trek movie & the final shot of the ship flying away was a beautiful exit for our beloved crew. Nemesis lost the spirit & felt like a hollow vessel.

    Insurrection was - for me - a near miss as a movie. First contact was better - but insurrection looked better I think. I'd be hard put to single out a reason why Insurrection was a miss for me - but it definitely was.

      I had heard so many poor reviews of it when it came out that I didn't bother going to see it in the theater. When I finally saw it on VHS a year or so later, I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as abyssmal as I'd been led to believe. That being said, it wasn't great---I remember describing it as a feature-length episode of the tv show, and not a particularly good one at that---and after subsequent (and, frankly, very rare) viewings over the years, I've been less forgiving.
      It's not the worst Trek movie, I don't think...that award probably goes to Generations...but it's near the bottom of the heap.

    • @pepperVenge

      I thought it was good. You should have seen the original concept of the film. It was amazing. But Paramount micromanaged the production and changed the plot so much, the film ended up being a shell of it's first concept. A great deal of content that was originally filmed never made it into the movie. For instance; Ruafu was supposed to die by a rapid de-aging process caused by the metaphasic energy he collected from the planet's rings. But Paramount wanted the film to be "Action Packed," and insisted an ending where Ruafu and Picard fight, where Ruafu ends up dying in an explosion, as we see in the film. It's really a huge shame..

      @@pepperVenge the thing that pissed me off is the Enterprise vs the enemy ships, the space battle was just so boring. I prefer phasers and torpedoes to some space fart explosion.

    • @pepperVenge
      @pepperVenge Год назад

      @@cheedevulan8547 lol yeah I'm with you there. That space battle was pretty lacking. This was our first chance to see the new Enterprise E go one on one with more conventional opponents (other then a Borg Cube), and they kinda squandered it. We at least got a decent space battle in Nemesis, but it wasn't the best movie. Yet another example of Paramount ruining Star Trek films.
      This same thing goes with most Trek productions. Star Trek Enterprise for instance was initially never going to take place on a space fairing vessel. Berman and Braga originally conceived of a 22nd century show that took place almost exclusively on Earth and chronicled humanities struggle to get into deep space. But UPN and Paramount insisted on a show that actually took place in space and had lots of shooting and explosions, so Berman and Braga had to rethink their concept.
