As a kid, I loved Quest for Peace. I haven't had the heart to really sit down and give it the time of day as an adult.

As a kid 4 was my favorite. As an adult I can still enjoy it though I understand why many don't. I would love to see Nuclear Man brought back in Superman & Lois.

I adored quest for peace as I saw it as a 9 year old. The best one is superman the movie.... It just has everything part II is awesome and III has the best fight and sequence featuring Clark and supes. I'd love to get this set but it's a bit too much money right now. 😢😮❤

Beautiful looking steel books. Can't wait for mine to arrive. Just disappointed that the special edition wasn't added to Superman 1.
Isn't the 151min on this disc the extended version, originally at 143 minutes, as cut by Donner.
The TV version runs @180mins, which was all the Salkinds doing, and not Donner's.
The steelbooks look lovely.
Shame there is no extended Superman The Movie in 4k which I prefer.
I am getting the steelbook release and I'm quite pleased with what I'm seeing here. I don't get my copy till May 9th here in the states. Can't wait, I grow up with these movies and even saw superman 4 in the theaters when I was eight years old.
quest for peace was the first superman movie i got to see in the theater as a kid. one of the first memories i have of seeing a movie in the theater over all. liked it back then but of course its hard to watch now. this box set is beautiful. i love the original poster art as the covers. i dont get to open mine til july so that sucks for me lol

That's a lovely 4k set of all the original Superman films my favourite is Superman 2 but not seen the Donner cut but would like too. I might pick up some of the normal 4k releases.
I've also got this great set. A booklet with informative essays would've been better than the lenticular photo or comic.
Quest For Peace is great fun. I think many fans take it way too seriously but it has some genuinly funny moments ( No Pain No Gain 😂😂😂), fun action, a great Chris Reeve performance and it's not boring. While it is not the best I do feel there is a lot to enjoy with it. Sure it is ropey in places but take it for what it is, a Cannon Films action flick with Superman. Plus it's way better than the extremely dull Batman v Superman and Man of Steel, real snooze fests 😴

For Superman II, I really liked the Richard Donner Cut. 4 I liked as a kid, but not so much with growing up. Got mine yesterday and I love it.

My earliest memory was watching Superman3. Was interesting seeing good and evil superman.
SupermanIV I mostly know the story from a picture book at the library. DIdn't watch the movie until a few years ago. Can see how it suffered from budget constraints. Love the scene where SUperman uses his "repair vision" to fix the Great wall of China

Superman 4k is the same disc as the previous release a few years back. On there 4K disc is the 143min version not the 151mins, that one is only on the blu ray disc!
I believe the US release has the improved 1978 Superman 4k, and not the 2018 version, which was berated by fans over some quality issues?
So no idea why the UK release is getting an inferior copy; are they trying to offload the old inventory?
DEFINITELY GETTING THIS SET PART 1 IS MY FAVORITE FAR AS PART 2 BOTH IS GOOD IN MY OPINION
As always a great unboxing!!! I love the steelbooks, but They should add an extra bonus disc with the documentary "Look up in the sky! The amazing story of Superman", like they did with the Blu-ray box set.
£130 and they drop that fantastic Documentary and NO extended TV cut of Superman! these will come in the next set they put out in 6 months time for £150!!! just ripping off genuine film collectors SHAME ON WARNER BROS!!
It always seems that you got more with blu-ray box sets than new 4k sets

I have a soft spit for The Quest For Peace. I’ve seen worse than that, I can say. That honour belongs to Traffic. Three hours of tedium. I prefer the Superman II theatrical edition. I thought the Donner edition was too fast. I didn’t like that aspect. Didn’t feel natural. I haven’t opened mine yet but I may never. May seem a bit strange but I collect for Nostalgia as well. I’d worry about damaging priceless pieces. The content looks good and I am happy.
Looks like a decent set, got mine coming from HMV. They did a similar collectable steelbook for the Harry Potter Dark Arts set, must be a new thing. Great unboxing Rick as always.

It's a nice set. Definitely deserves some points off, though, for the asinine decision to not just use that last steelbook as a separate case for the Donner cut. Would much rather that then the overall pointless collectibles.
Separate cases for 2 would have been my first choice.

Is the picture quality of Superman The Movie any different from the previous 4K release from a few years ago? Apparently the 1st release was a rush job. I was disappointed with it. Lots of grain and the picture clarity wasn't brilliant.

So, the 1st movie has Dolby Atmos, and DD 5.1 english audio like the 2018 UHD? Some people say the 2023 release got rid of the DD 5.1 and instead put an old and inferior 2.0 track for the UHD. Also, the image is the same as 2018.
I can't believe they messed up the score for Superman 4 and they still have not included the full work print Warner Brothers is in possession of and they also haven't included the metro club scene.
Gorgeous set bit expensive but still great. Don't get why no superman returns? especially when it was in the blu ray collectors set?
Strange that this doesnt come with digital copies. Kinda disappointing bc it would be nice to have digital copies of all these movies.
The UK doesn't have any infrastructure for digital unfortunately since UltraViolet closed. Would be nice if only it could use redeem to Apple in the UK or youtube would do.
They look amazing. Could you possibly do a full review on the overall picture and sound quality of all the Superman movies.
Lovely set, I was going to pre order this but I didn't bother in the end because superman 4 is absolutely terrible I couldn't justify paying full price for 3 movies so I have the separate 2 and 3 releases. I do however love the fact they use original artwork on those steels, though I can't say all that much for the standard editions, but I did my own original artwork. Unfortunately WB artwork on new 4ks(old titles) is absolutely shocking. But overall a nice set all the same

Warner Bros Pictures shouldn't bother Superman III and IV 4K Blu ray we need 1080p AVC Blu ray master Superman Returns with Dolby Atmos and a 4K Ultra HD Blu ray Dolby Vision

Annoying that only the first film is in dolby vision otherwise great set
Superman returns open matte 4k would be fantastic its available in open matte I have it and did a 4k professional HDR10 upscale.. they never seem to release the open matte versions absolutely ridiculous. Dolby vision is only superman the movie which has been out ages in 4k. No dolby vision for the other. What a joke.
Would of liked that. Shame the tv cut of the first wasn’t included also.

As pretty as the presentation is, the content is just unacceptable. Especially for the price. Set should have included all cuts of all movies; Particularly the TV cut of STM and SIII, and the long awaited SIV external cut which I think it's fair to say we'll just never see at this stage... This was WB's chance and they blew it. Again. But a load of you caved and bought the set anyway. Again.

Does the first film have the 5.1 audio along with the Atmos or the 2.0 with atmos ? First 4k had original 70mm track on the 5.1 . I heard this release doesn’t for the original Superman thanks

Disc tray loses points. Stacking discs should be in a crime. No reason why each disc could not be on one side of the case. Steelbook for 2 looks pathetic,but interior is good, although the images should all face the same way. Discs should have images. The collectables case had best interior design. Booklet is lame; no literature.
Separate steels for theatrical and donner cut was my preferred option also.
@4k CollectivE a separate case for each would have been a bit much, and raised the price a lot. I apologise for my ignorance in not knowing the technical name, but a tray on the left, a tray on the right and a two prong one in the middle would have been fine. Put the movie poster for each version under its tray.
