I think i'll pass on this, bought this great movie so many times already and really for £50 it doesnt offer anything that new for me. A few "goodies" as you call it (which arent really that) don't justify buying it for the 5th time. Thanks for the unboxing, very very in depth as always!
My thoughts exactly. Looks great, but my metal dvd box is superior since it has all versions of the film. For the price it should have a book inside as well. I own editions of other movies that are better than this and were cheaper. Style over substance to me on this one.
Welcome to Europe. It’s the law. And the slipcover is removable, did you not see? The rating isn’t printed on the actual cover. You’re very lucky you’re even getting that.
I’m underwhelmed by this set. It’s pretty expensive here in Canada and I think the Bluray set in the briefcase was much nicer. The artwork does look good in this set however it’s not enough to sell me imho. Maybe we’ll get a Blade runner/Blade runner 2049 set.

Still the greatest Sci-Fi movie right next to 2001 A Space Odyssey in my opinion. Nice unboxing of this new edition, but I wish it also came with 1992 director's cut as it's the one I personally do prefer most :-)
Just opened up mine and what i’ve found interesting is, your clear block isn’t numbered, and my one is. Limited to 3000 apparently, but clearly, the numbered block is only numbered to 3000 if that makes sense lol.

That's exactly how it was marketed. Zavvi even has a photo of the block with a number etched in it. Perhaps/Hopefully this is a promo copy without the numbering?

It should have at least three versions...The original theatrical release, the Director' s cut and this Final Cut.Also, I would prefer "actual" lobby cards than drawings.Still, a good set.

Seeing how you seem to have stopped say “Again” now, I have picked up on another word you use a tremendous amount of times. It’s “SO” ……..you managed to say that a mind boggling 60 times in this unboxing. SO for every 10 times said I can buy a 4k movie SO I can buy 6 new movies Cheers Richard. 🤪
@4K CollectivE Now that I got mine I noticed an extreme construction error on these vault editions. The glass stone is way to heavy for the paper construction holding it. Even in your video, the stone moved below the paper, where it absolutely should not be. The paper corners around the stone on mine have bends because of the pressure by the weight of the glass. I've also seen pictures where the paper is completely destroyed by the stone. This is absolutely unacceptable on a 60€ Edition. Please: Submit Feedback to Warner that they need to improve this on future releases. You're a big channel and they might listen to you. Thanks.
Now I am worried about my pre orders if they will be numbered or if the studio mess it up. How can they ignore such important thing. What are the chances he and other reviewers having a promo copy and not the retail version? For me the this numbered glass plate thing got me but if its not numbered its misleading by the studios.

I won’t give Zavvi another dime . I buy from a lot of Boutiques and have a collection of 2000 films . I have two orders with Zavvi and two issues . First my Rambo steel case came in bent badly . I had to send pictures of it to customer service. They replied back “ it looks immaculate “ . I was shocked reading that while holding the bent steel case . I had to call them . The customer service after 20 minutes of verification said “ I’m happy to give you a ten percent refund “ . I told her I don’t want the money. I want what I paid for . A nice collectors steelbook . I don’t even need another Rambo movie. I purchased the first release a while ago. I double dipped for the steel book . So after conversing with her supervisor they finally said they will send me a new steel book . Well thank you very much I thought to myself. The second issue was so frustrating that I decided no matter what they’re selling I’m not buying. I purchased 4 films. The main film I wanted was the Casablanca 4k set . I paid for the films through PayPal pay in for method. I even paid the pay in four off early. So Zavvi sends me the first two films . No problem so far. Casablanca and King Kong was to come later because of pre order status. So I logged in after the release date of Casablanca and my order is highlighted red . It said my order could not be sent because of payment issues . I’m like WTF now ? I call PayPal and they confirm the funds are there and I fulfilled my obligation to pay PayPal. I called Zavvi and told them what happened, they replied we will try again and that they charged only at time of shipping. I’m like so what’s the problem? I put 4 films in the cart and paid in full . After a week the highlight message on my order screen was still there . Zavvi finally cancelled my Casablanca and King Kong order because I could not resolve the problem. I was like “ wow “ I was speechless. So I went on Amazon and purchased the regular 4K Casablanca with slipcase . I could have purchased the Zavvi Casablanca through Diabolik. But told myself FK Zavvi . I own Casablanca in many formats and collections. I guess I’ll be missing out on this set . So as much as I would love this New line of film vault movies. My bad experiences with Zavvi won’t let me buy another movie from them. I’ve purchased over 50 times from Kino Lorber and never once had an issue. 20 times from Diabolik and no issues . Criterion no issues. Deep discount no issues. I got 4 orders with Vinegar Syndrome so I’m waiting for that. But Zavvi. A huge disappointment. It’s just frustrating to be treated the way I was treated by them . I’m a customer any seller would love to keep . I buy and I buy a lot . Zavvi was my first bad experience that made me said no matter what their selling I’m not buying. Sorry for the rant. That Blade Runner set was nice 👍.
In all honesty, there is nothing of interest in this ‘special edition’ release….. a piece of glass, art cards featuring artwork published repeatedly since 1982, a schematic of the Spinner that is freely available to download on the internet…… A 4K disc set with a book featuring a lot of unseen production images would be a much better investment. This is a sows ear sold as a silk purse. Save your money, unless you are a simple creature who like spending your hard-earned (or benefits money) on shiny things. This is a wasted opportunity- very poor marketing and packaging.
I have bought that movie 1000 times. Directors Cut Widescreen VHS, laserdisc, DVD, special test case DVD, Blu-ray, 4k, now I want that.

I really dont understand why the age ratings are printed on the front and on the spine. Should be removable on a premium edition.

Saw this on eBay for £500 new, glad I got mine at £50

Yes. I found out afterwards that the promo copy Warner asked to show on the channel wasn’t numbered. So I added in the description afterwards.

Guess I’ll keep my Blu-ray version of Goodfellas. Don’t know why so many 4k versions are worse than the Blu-ray. Heard Heat was awful too

I think so too. However if they sell out over Xmas then you might be able to see them for more than they are woth.

Final cut is the worst and the Atmos remix even worse than that, the Workprint is the best
