- There have been mixed reactions on social media after a Pastor said women should marry men they can submit to and not men they love.This is in accordance to a bible passage which state women should always submit to their husband.

In the bible, though: Titus 2:4 talks about older women teaching younger women to 'love their husbands and children', so the love factor is not one sided.
When Paul admonished that a husband should love his wife and the wife should submit to her husband, he was placing emphasis on what each side would find naturally more difficult to do when they get in marriage when every weakness begins to come to the open, plus other expected realities.
If a woman marries a man she does not love, either by force or desperation, she's gambling with her life.
With love comes the desire to give the best of everything including submission. I believe mutual attraction leads to love which may or may not lead to marriage, so love is an essential in marriage on both the wife and husband.
Love is not just butterflies. It entails submission, kindness, understanding, patience etc. Aunty Yeni and Madam Tope were on point.
It is sad how so called "ministers of God" misinterpret the Bible or take it out of context.
The Bible holds men love your wives and women submit to your husbands but this doesn't mean women shouldn't love their husbands. Paul most likely said it because the men at that time were not loving their wives indeed and the women were not submissive. He was addressing an issue.
Jesus Christ talked about loving your neighbour as yourself. It is now the man you want to marry or the one you have married that you wouldn't love.
If you love ❤ you will submit naturally.

If all three points are valid,it shows,proves that Christian doctrine,religion is a lie and a deception.There must be a truth that can not be contradicted,but because we've been raised with this deception called religions we can't seems to see the truth. Men hold the keys to marriage and a relationship, what ladies over interprete to be love mean little to men if there’s no submission and respect. You guys are simply misleading younger ladies by selling them a fantasy that’s hard to find. Marriage is duty and doesn’t always come with those fantasy feelings you’re talking about. What’s non negotiable should be respect. The lady who said if a man loves her more she’d walk all over him is turning things upside down.

Not slavery at all! Marriage as defined by God is when a man leaves his mother and father and is joined to his wife and the two become one! The man is admonished in the Bible to “love your wife” as Christ love 💕 the church. The Bible also says that a man that loves his wife loves himself. The woman is also told to “obey your husband” as in reverence (respect) your husband as the head of the home. Christ equates the union of a man and a woman to God’s headship of the church. This comparison is much deeper than we can ever understand.
A marriage between two mature adults who live, move and have their being in God and his word will work if done on God’s terms as he is the author of marriage. Who else would know how to do marriage better than the one who created it!
Marriage is more than a man and a woman living together. One has to take God along in marriage and in everything else in life for it to be successful…this is the word of God!
