Hi Tom, I never message but I want to give you some hope. I've had t for 3 years and I get pain with it. Hang on in there because time helps and even with pain, you habituate
I can relate to so much of this, but gladly, being as Positive as you can be, using breathing techniques and meditation, you can overcome the worst of it. Stay strong, keep pushing.
I use sound therapy, a headband at night that plays sound therapy over my ears, gabapentin to sleep, eustachi to try to open my "glue ears", CBT (but I am a therapist so I do this myself), nasal spray, being outside in nature, and now hearing aids. I have tinnitus in both ears at a very high frequency. We have been fighting ear infections and fluid behind my ears for almost 4 months now. We're not sure how long it has been that way. No ear pain at least.
Hearing aids, stress reduction, sleep, and diet. It’s a multi approach. You have to exercise. Sound therapy is a big help. I got Covid and a few weeks later muffled hearing and tinnitus one ear. Unfortunately treatment didn’t start until weeks later. Steroids and HBOT may have helped a little. No TMJ. Will look into cervical instability at some point but for now personal health diet and exercise is working.

After forry years i recently started having ear pain. I thought it was an infection. I only go to a doctor with something like a broken bone. I have had many illnesses in mt life and they all passed without meds. Not the tinnitus! This guy describes it very well. When i am active and busy it is not there!!!! Just sayin'
For my tinnitus I take serc 16 mg twice a day after week or two clears out completely and I avoid sugar and dairy coffee. Definitely alcohol Serc is my saviour

Where can I order SERC? I'll give it a try if I can get it. Thank you.
Do you have Ménière's disease ? Or "just " tinnitus ?
After doing a search for Serc, it's apparently not FDA approved. Looks like you can get it from Canada or other non-US sources with a prescription.
Pls is serc ear drops? & do ear drops help?
