Thankful Sarra stopped for a moment and explained what these ecosystems were, because I was lost up till then. Maybe I’m just obtuse, but this talk was difficult for me to follow.
I get it. It's a lot, which is why we wrote a book and did a whole methodology about it. It's hard to do it justice in one house, which is a problem. Once you know the system though, it should make it a lot easier to prioritize and grow, though.
Hey Sarra! You should make a video of your footage from last year’s WriterMBA mastermind so those who are on the fence about going can be pushed over the fence with excitement about your real experience and sign up for it!
Watching the replay. I find this really helpful and interesting about the ecosystem, to know what I excel at is a relief vs what I am not so good at. I am a forest.
No, it's not at all! It's how we get our books out there to more readers! It's like the samples people give away with purchase or for free to get you to try a product. It's SO supportive to read a free book.
@@HeartBreathings a sample chapter or two I get, but an entire book just lowers the bar for what all writers can expect to earn. You put far too much time and effort into your work to then present it as valueless. Like apartments getting smaller and smaller and more and more expensive, think inverse for books. We all used to expect to pay at least $12 to $25 for a book. Now the appetite to pay even $5 is at an all time low. Self publishing has given writers a wider platform to present their work, but has destroyed the potential to actually make a decent living as an writer.
Catching the replay. A lot of valuable information! Really enjoyed this. Thank you!
Yaaay!

No, you aren't obtuse! Maybe it's just not speaking to where you are in your journey at the moment!

Yes you are so right!!! Maybe that will be my weekend project!
@@HeartBreathingsyayyy! Go get ‘em!
This is a very good idea. Seconded.

Yay! I feel like Sarra is queen Forest and also attracts a lot of forests, which is great.
Great chat, thanks!
Yay!
I've never read a free book. Seems insulting to the writer.
@@lwalt7120 I dunno. I’ve read some books I wished were free. They were insulting to the reader 😅🤣

Aww, haha, yeah, I know there are some out there for sure.
If the author has set it to free or is offering it for free in a giveaway then reading it is absolutely the best thing you can do for that author.
