You've taught me the importance of a dropped bullet vs fired. Don't mind going back a few years in your playlists as the lessons are timeless. Always something for me to learn.
Hi Beau In England we call those torpedoes railway 'detonators' and you were half-right, they were put on the tracks as a safety device, but to alert the train driver, not people working on the line. If you think back in the day, once a train was running, the only way to signal it to stop, say for a blockage on the line, (where there wasn't any fixed signals or stations) was by someone swinging a lamp, but in bad conditions esp foggy weather, visual signals might not get the train stopped in time. So these detonators would be strapped to the lines in a series, with shorter distances between each one, and as the train ran over them they went off with a bang to alert the driver of problems on the line ahead. and I'm not sure but I think the shorter the distance between each one, more the urgency for the driver to stop quickly. Regards Chris
you were correct on the railway detonators cass. my dad was a sectionman for the canadian pacific. had a few of them in his car for work. he never kept them where us kids could get at them either.
Very cool information, Chris and Marcel! Thank y'all so much for sharing! I often wondered about and contemplated different situations and logistics like that when I was younger, while learning about railroads in school and while playing on them in the itty-bitty town my Daddy grew up in; it's really nice to get answers to questions I'd forgotten about... At least a few times! 😄🤗😊💜💜💜
There's nothin' quite like being up the crick with the Chigg. This was a lovely little cruise and hunt and I enjoyed it muchly. Thanks loads Beau. Have great day!
Hey Beau, now that was an exciting hunt and I can't wait to see what you find when you go back. Glad you didn't get clobbered by that falling tree. Somethings out there watching you... Is it human? 😉 C'ya in your next video.
Dear Beau, you have just answered the old question “ if a tree falls in the forest...etc” - we now know that not only do you hear it, it makes noises before it falls too. Bit spooky though. Another great video, I love watching your videos in “the wild” , taking us places we would never get to go normally. Thank you.😊🌸😊
Good thing you lost the "pervious" clips, RUclips prolly wouldn't like you posting those! Sorry, couldn't help myself making a jab at the spelling error. Great video even without those clips.
I love your river videos but it never ceases to amaze me how full of junk they are and how much silt. In Nova Scotia it is unusual to see a candy wrapper or a pop can on the bank or in the river for miles and there is little to no silt. I am looking out the window at 2 feet of snow so it is nice to hit Play and watch you in the river.
Love the water videos! Could watch for hours. Disappointing when video ends. Wish I had your talent. Im great at finding beer cans and worthless junk. Ty for sharing your adventures!
I always WANNA tell him that, "Yes, yes I DO see!!!" Unfortunately, I don't even think my glasses would help me see his finds, though I ABSOLUTELY LOVE him for himself!!! He is pretty freaking awesome inspiring, optimistic, realistic, knowledge AND great to watch! 😎🤗💜
John Harn Three Torpedoes tells the Engineer to STOP the train. My Cousin was with the Santa Fe RR . He gave me two but wouldn't let me have three. I guess he knew me too well LOL. 😁. 🇺🇸😎
pretty awesome early morning AQUACHIGGER ADVENTURE..... Didn't get skunked on civil war relics and had a phenomenal day on SILVER and GOLD. Nice go at it Chigg. Hope we ( ALABAMA DIXIE DIGGERS ) Git out this weekend and hit SILVER and GOLD ( every treasure hunters wish ) thanx Chigg for another great AQUACHIGGER ADVENTURE
Not to sure if this is a coin or not? At the 15:18 mark, just as your placing the green wire to the right, there looks to be be a coin. I could be wrong and it could just be a pebble or some junk. For next time when you go to that place,
Railway thingies are called Detonators They were used in groups to warn the ENGINE driver there was danger ahead. ! going off means slow down, Two together means precede with caution Three means STOP. If A train broke down the guard would quickly run back along the track and lay out three dets. so the following train will not plow into him.
20:08 is a "Pocket Shrine" Ive found multiple, usually inside the brass case they are stored in. They are usually depicting Joseph and baby jesus. Soldiers would carry these in their pockets during war time
so the railroad torpedos signaled the train drivers in bad weather and fog when the signals are hard to see. makes more sense than the other way around. keep finding treasure chigg, one of these days you need to come out west.
At 3:04, chigger walks by a bottle under water in the rocks. looks like a pickle jar? Not sure if he got it later. But even if missed, lots of cool stuff found.
The little pendant with figures is Mary and Baby Jesus. The gold ring in a similar vein with the two crosses, probably has 'INRI' in the middle. INRI stems from the Latin phrase 'Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum' meaning 'Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews'. This was the notice Pontius Pilate nailed over Jesus as he lay dying on the cross. Great finds and a great day on the river.
This was a fun video to watch. Crazy trees falling, just to startle you ☺ How many civil war bullets does one detectorist need man? Did you ever get the dates off of the two coins? See ya on the next notification 👍
Bo, I think your buddy had it backwards. The torpedoes were put on the track by the workers to let the engineer know that workers were ahead so they could slow down or watch for them.
I have become your newest most HUGE fan!! I am very curious to know what kind of boat you use? It has to be the neatest craft I have ever come across! Please let me know and whether you would consider coming to northeastern Wyoming to do some detecting with me in the BigHorn Mountains, where there have been, not a few, small gold mines and some old trading post buildings still used as cabins!! Let me know!!
Great finds, so jealous. The little pewter icon you found reminds me of a St Christopher locket I once found; it depicts St Christopher carrying the infant Jesus across the water. Clean it up and let us see it better please
Love your videos. Question. I've got a local bayou I want to wade through to detect. How are you digging up your finds? This area us mostly sandy. What would you recommend to dig in the water with?
would love to know if that pocket knifes scales were real tortoise shell or plastic? guessing plastic but tortoise shell was used back in the day. a friend of mine found a mans tortoise shell comb at a turn of the century logging camp privy hole.
Beau, That little figure was probobly of the Virgin Mary. A tiny figure was easy to carry and pack, and might have been a "blessed" item from their church or another religious site. Not everyone wears a medallion for protection in their travels. You found a ring in the same area? might have dropped a valuables pouch. Hope you tagged that spot.
You've taught me the importance of a dropped bullet vs fired. Don't mind going back a few years in your playlists as the lessons are timeless. Always something for me to learn.
Happy little signals. Truly the Bob Ross of metal detecting.

Very cool info. Thank you 👍
I was going to comment almost the same thing
Sounds right to me lol

So glad to see you back in the water you did well today really liked your video watch out for water moccasins
I just love your little boat! That thing is handy as all get out!
There's nothin' quite like being up the crick with the Chigg. This was a lovely little cruise and hunt and I enjoyed it muchly. Thanks loads Beau. Have great day!
It's not that I dislike the different topic videos you put out... When I watch these recent river treasure videos, it feels like coming home.
He's the Bob Ross of relic hunting with all his happy little signals.
Hey Beau, now that was an exciting hunt and I can't wait to see what you find when you go back.

Please do a video occasionally showing your finds cleaned up. Love your stuff.
yes especially since you always promise you will show stuff cleaned up and never do.
Thanks for another great video please don’t quit sharing them
Nice colonial finds and that Gold ring and silver knife is very cool!
Good thing you lost the "pervious" clips, RUclips prolly wouldn't like you posting those! Sorry, couldn't help myself making a jab at the spelling error. Great video even without those clips.
Adult content lol
Hey chigg saw your hands video hope your feeling better we need you to keep doing what you do . It’s entertaining I enjoy it. Be well.
Big Foot is watching you ! He was just giving you a warning !!! :). LOL
I'm glad for the river runs man I missed em lol. I mean I love the cave stuff to but this is definitely my favorite :) you rock brother!!!
That small figurine looks like a St Christopher... well, that's what popped into my head, when you showed it... :)
Dave Lennon-Copeland a religious figurine is what I thought of too. St Christopher makes perfect sense!
I couldn't make out if it were a male or female. It looked like Mother Mary to me.
Wow cool finds and no storm! Gotta get back there...
I can’t wait to come back to that last place with ya Chigg!
Nice video !!! Greetings from Holland Brian
Great video! Just wish he could turn the volume up, seems like they have been quite lately.

I like how he says "Can you see it"" with enthusiasm of a teacher to a kindergarden class. His honeymoon must of been a hoot !
The tree fall was a samsquanch doing his morning exercises. Torpedoes were to warn the engineer that something was ahead or that a line was closed.

I took 3 packs of hotdogs froze them placed them into pillowcase then paid a homeless person to beat me with them
Sometimes when I finish taking a dump I'll stand up spin around and stick my face in the toilet bowl then huff the aroma
As it appears. I'm actually one of the best hotdog eaters in the world .I know because I once consumed an entire bucket of hotdogs
pretty awesome early morning AQUACHIGGER ADVENTURE..... Didn't get skunked on civil war relics and had a phenomenal day on SILVER and GOLD.
Nice go at it Chigg.
Hope we ( ALABAMA DIXIE DIGGERS ) Git out this weekend and hit SILVER and GOLD

AQUACHIGGER ADVENTURE
Wow.....the silver knife was an awesome find. Ya gotta go back Chigg.....Samsquanch or no Samsquanch.
the ring looks like a Parsons ring and the figurine is a ST Christopher , thanks for another great video. Mac.
LOVE YOUR RIVER DETECTING !!!!! KEEP EM' COMING!!

IV become addicted to your videos so interesting 😊

Oh Jesus he took my bat!
As it appears. I'm actually one of the best hotdog eaters in the world .I know because I once consumed an entire bucket of hotdogs
Nice hunt Chigg! Maybe on the next you’ll get an entire place setting of silverware! Gold would be better of course. Love barber quarters 👍👍👍
CHIG, Thanks you for the close caption on....Great adventure as usual...
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them
I just had a The Big Bang Theory moment there 😂
I know, I know; that's not where it was originally said but that's where I heard it 1st said 😂😂😂
Thanks for another awesome video. 👍🏻
You always have all kinds of fun
Nearly drowned about 8 and a half minutes into the video. You forgot to tell me to hold my breath.
lol. I was thinking the same thing!
If a tree falls in the forest, and Chigg is there to hear it, it does make a noise!

wow, you're still making videos, I remember watching your videos when I was 11, now I have IBS and no reason to wake up in the morning.
Thanks for the adventure, see you on the next video.
Another super video. Very cool finds. Happy Hunting.
Trees/branches are more likely to fall in hot dry weather. Or it was a territorial samsquantch. Nice finds, that silver was sweet.
This was a fun video to watch. Crazy trees falling, just to startle you ☺ How many civil war bullets does one detectorist need man? Did you ever get the dates off of the two coins? See ya on the next notification 👍
Yo did you make that awesome boat Well is plan's for it.What a way to travel the creeks and rivers. so cool . Thank. You
Really cool finds at the end there. You're onto something there for sure.
Nice finds. Definitely go back for more items. Would be nice to see what else the area has hidden.

That's a nice little boat. Haven't seen many like that one. 🛶 (Capt. Chigg) 😁
Bo, I think your buddy had it backwards. The torpedoes were put on the track by the workers to let the engineer know that workers were ahead so they could slow down or watch for them.
That makes more sense
Well im going on a relic recon tomorrow Beau thx to you. ;) great watch as always. ;)
Give the ring to your friend NuggetNoggin he would love it. Great finds you should go there again soon to see if the are any Moar civil war relics.
That tree is a perfect example of why they call them widow makers. Damn things will come down on a windless day and bite ya.
I have become your newest most HUGE fan!! I am very curious to know what kind of boat you use? It has to be the neatest craft I have ever come across! Good finds Beau! What do you use to clean your finds? Thanks! Have a great rest of the week! By the way, THANK YOU for your service!!😁😁👣👣
Good stuff right there..👍
Nice hunt!!
The torpedo wasnt to warn the workers It was to warn the train engineer of something coming ahead
That's awesome!!
@Aquachigger What the heck do you do with all those Mini Balls and such? Collect I guess huh?
It’s been really long time since last Canon ball was found.
They must be scarce now days after all the pickings.
I took 3 packs of hotdogs froze them placed them into pillowcase then paid a homeless person to beat me with them
Beau, what do you normally do with all the junk iron you find? Recycle it?
Hey man thanks for the video you got some nice finds there today

Not everyone wears a medallion for protection in their travels. You found a ring in the same area? might have dropped a valuables pouch. Hope you tagged that spot.
What type a boat are you using? it's pretty cool and I might get one myself
Erik Stone it’s a mokia jet propelled kayak. They stopped making ones like the one he has. There are a few on eBay but they are several grand.
Improvingyourmokai.com . Many for sale, and a great forum! I have a 2012 Mokai, the same as Chigg’s.
ruclips.net/video/ZaZidG5Fh9c/видео.html Link to his boat review I finally found today..
Not cheap but dang I wish I had one ☺
Texas Yetta yea me too bud looks like they would be awesome fun.
What do you do with all the fishing weights you find
So was the ring gold? Did you get it checked out? Looks.like it could have been very old!!
great job love the lead figure!
Have you ever tethered the boat and used the thrust to blow away the silt?
you never said "hold your breath" i almost drowned !
He did twice but it was said so quickly as he put us under that we all almost drowned 😵
What type of motorised kayak is that
12:31 is a worm weight for casting rubber worms.
