I love Jo's buttler,my fav player in the england cricket team,it is pleasing tos watch him playing odi and t20 shots in tests,these type of players are essential for revival of test cricket.The reverse sweeps,lofted shots over long on are a treat to watch.

1st test....england bowled for 146 in second innings.
2nd test...england bowled for 258 in 1st innings
3rd test...england bowled out for 67 in first innings.
4th test...england bowled out for 301 in 1st innings and 197 in 2nd innings
**the 301 was not in one day but that was only because 18 runs were scored at the end of a day.
I see Jason Roy was dropped...eventually. He should have been dropped for the fourth test, as well as Woakes. He did nothing with the bat and was responsible for some slack slip fielding. A few under performed this Ashes series.

Hell yeah. I love the underdog in a battle and hardly anyone plays cricket in England. Everyone in Aus plays cricket. So England have a much smaller group to select from. Plus Aus has Smith and Cummins. I'd like to see Jos get a bigger score and a ramp off the first ball would be hilarious.

In Test Matches its a more even contest with more helpful bowling conditions, that is where a batsmen technique is tested and if your not good enough like ODI players Jason Roy and soon Josh Buttler you get dropped.
Hope Marsh can replicate his bowling form with the Bat. This is just the type of wicket that he could go big on if he gets in

Butler is struggling to play test cricket. That is why he is playing in his natural style. He is striking with huge boundaries. It's quite tough for a t20 PLAYER to play like this. Hopefully he will convert his score to century.

Jos Buttler produced a classical and bit surprising innings of 64* and at the other side Joe Root just scored 57 runs which has probably made it difficult for him to notch a century in the series.Mitchell Marsh bowled exceptionally well in the middle overs and gave his side the break-through.I was shocked to witness Australian fielders and skipper Tim Paine dropping three catches of England captain Joe Root.

that was a pure beauty of cummins against root , even his luck failed against that bowl...
When aust won the toss I pumped my fists an yelled "yesss you little beauty." Then Paine uttered the words "we'll have a bowl" I was like ...... what the .....? In all the build up to the match the talk was that there was actual consideration that Cummins would be left out because of possible fatigue. Paine then gets a perfect gift by winning the toss and then makes Cummins bowl straight away. So much for trying to give the bowlers as much of a break as possible. The only reason anyone can come up with is that he has no faith in the openers. From what I hear, the bowlers looked pretty weary at the end of the day. Not surprised. If they can get the tail out reasonably cheap tomorrow and can bat for two days to give the bowlers a well earned rest then it may have been worth it, but strike me roan, what a gamble by Paine.

What Test Match cricket needs is results, and the more exciting the result the better. Who wins really does not matter that much, as long as it's not the same team, or teams all of the time. Entertainment is the name of the game, these days, and as long as especially England entertain, test match cricket will continue to flourish. The most important thing about today, is that this match is set up for a result from the first day. If England had scored 350-1, this match would already be heading for boredom ally. As it is, all results are possible, if they still are after 2-3 more days, then it is going to be another great one, whoever crosses the line.
