Seeing a man so determined and trying so hard to satisfy the needs of his clients...And seeing myself sitting in my house as an adult, not knowing what to do...gives me a little clarity...I hope to shine and flourish like that man. and their Ramen shop! Thank you for sharing and making this great documentary!
Love how Japanese love their customers and perfect their craft, culture. This is something not everyone can do, putting customers and thinking of customers first..
The level of consistency and strive for perfection made everything in japan so good . That why peoples around the world are looking for thing Made in Japan .
@@DigitalPosion He chose to do something within his means and not try to push further, and I'm sure his food has fed hundreds of thousands of good people. Wow he had some very powerful messages, I like hes attitude and personality inspite that he is quiet but he has a very good heart. May you stay healthy for years to come sensei ❤.
considering his age and strength.. the way he answered why he is working is "because of the customers" looks genuine response to me and no slightest sign of marketing. god bless you master and your wife, all the best from the Philippines
Such a pure and luminous soul. Watching this man reminds me of the quote "the meek shall inherit the earth." This video is so calming and wholesome, thank you for your work.
I dont know what happened, but this one video of a man making noodles stopped my doomscrolling, what kind warm hearted individual. I hope his days are filled with nothing but comfort and joy.
Amazing story. Heart breaking as well. I’m sure the ramen is unbelievably good. I hope his children see this and offer to help their father, if they can.
His shop is his legacy, and it’s his kid. That’s why he will devote all to it until it’s time. This is worthy of respect. Good health and wishes to you sir.
I've been following this gentleman on youtube for some time. I'm glad he's recovered from surgery and able to continue something he obviously loves and takes great pride in. I only wish I could visit Japan to try his ramen. Maybe one day.😊
I am so happy to see this guy is still doing what he enjoys i remember watching a video about him a good while back and he had a bad leg i felt so bad for him it weighed heavy on me, seeing him get so little rest and struggle to set up his store :(. I am genuinely happy he is still doing ok i wish him all the best i am not religious but if there is a god i hope he takes care of this man. Thank you for these videos i am English but love and respect the Japanese culture.
I have been watching this man for years the way he just does his job is so therapeutic to watch. Did he ever get the surgery he needed for his hip/back/leg?
A humble craftsman, perfecting his work and who truly loves what he does. THIS is what the world lacks, and we are the poorer for losing it. A simple, rewarding life of honest work.
I could not sit down at this man's stall with out doing something, anything for this amazingly diligent man. He seems the type that has been working admirable at an otherwise thankless job for his whole life.
What a lovely person. I wish to visit him someday. 500 Yen for a ramen is like back in the days, so cheap but yet delicious. Hopefully take notes and not to greed money but also happiness around the community. Thank you for sharing.
His attitude and enthusiasm, despite the hot weather and physical weakness, he still devoted himself to work with 100% spirit. His attitude was so warm and motivating to many people who only knew how to complain.
... I grew up in Seattle in the 80s and 90s and in the 2000s played music because that is what we were doing there then. (...still even.) Thank you for the post in any and every case. (...the kitty-cats always know the best places.,...)
i watched this again and he reminds me of my father who is also limping when he walks. more health to you ojisan, please get a trainee or someone to inherit your ramen store.
This gentlemen embodies the true Japanese spirit. Even though his movements are labored he pushes onward and never gives up. I think it is everyone’s dream to be just as strong as this gentleman is in our own old age. I wish for eternity stamina and good health to this great man 🙏

Usually I don’t take advice from the people who’s in the position that I don’t want to be, financial wise. But I will listen to this guy, I’m a big fan of Japan… their work ethic is unmatched!!
Japan is truly has to be a great civilisation for its everyday people to live with such simplicity but purpose. Remarkable spirit, so much respect. Would be cool if there was a link to donate but it would be tough to even get him to accept it
People often respect people with a lot of money. I respect hard working people. This man is a prime example.
Usually, people with a lot of money are hard working people. But I agree with you.
I'd never thought I'd get teary-eyed from a random guy making ramen somewhere in Japan. Thank you 高橋さん. I wish you all the best.
I cried like a baby.

This guy is still going? What a living legend. He got over some disease lately if I'm correct. Still doing it in style! KO Eiken, I'll remember!
He seems like a genuine legend. The Ramen looks deliciously good. 🫶🏽 from New Zealand
I know right! And he still seems to be kicking and relatively well!
