How about, instead of short 8 minute videos, 1-2 minutes of which are the same ads over and over and over and over again. You put up the entire conversations. So that we can listen to them while we are doing something? without having to go to our phones every 6 minutes, to stop the video, before we rip our hair out from having to listen to the same ads, over and over again . @@jamesbizs I think she has longer interviews you just have to look for them or pay to see them as for the ads that's a RUclips problem you can use other browsers like Brave or Firefox to limit the ads, some creators are sponsored so they are obligated to throw a link to you for their product, at the end of their video or at the start, I feel your frustration.

Yet, when people in this country look at Middle Easterners & people from South Asia, they assume that their all Muslim, and go on to make same ignorant stereotypes that people make when think about Muslims based the racial appearance of certain individuals. Look at all the attacks on Indian-American Sikhs, or Arab-American Christians who were mistreated because people assumed "they looked Muslim" & as a result, they deserved to be scrutinized. Granted, Islam, again, is not a race. But you cannot separate the religion from the people. Agree with Bill on his assessment of protesters aligning with Hamas. I lived in Saudi Arabia for 7 years at one time, can confirm what Bill is saying. Women are NOT 2nd class citizens in the Middle East, they are 4th class citizens. Ladies pushing for supporting Hamas have no idea what they are asking for, they need to be very careful, they may get what they wish for.
I've witnessed women being flogged, hands and feet being hacked off by the state. As a Westerner I was horrified but could do nothing, to even object would have been suicide for me. To all you young women holding up the Palestinian flag, there is an old song by Jodi Mitchell with the lyrics: "You don't know what you've got till it's gone." Sure you want that?

Hamas killed 1.200 innocent Israelis, that was not right. Israel has killed 35.000 innocent Palestinians, that was not right. The question is: who is the real Terrorist?
Maher (and Kelly) predictably fails to grasp the colonial aspect of pro-Palestinian activism. Projecting Western values and history onto cultures that have no concept of our norms is an old and ugly practice of European colonialism, and something most of these activists try to avoid. It's interesting that Megyn showed a clip of Sam Harris, someone who defends the notion of "objective morality" -philosophically, this isn't defensible, and the most sophisticated arguments in favor of this concept fail to convince. Yes, the way that women are treated in Muslim countries is appalling to us, but it isn't entirely clear how Muslim women feel about these laws. In general, the US should not be imposing Western liberalism onto countries and cultures unless there is popular support for our way of life (or some aspects of how we live).
Ultimately, there is no contradiction or paradox between the values these activists defend in _our_ culture and support for Palestinian liberation. If this isn't clear, it's because you aren't starting with the premise that there's no such thing as an objective or 'superior' moral code in human societies.

Regarding Muslim countries, on the one hand I agree with you, let them live in their countries and us in ours, LEAVE THEM ALONE. So we agree on that. To me, and I make no apologies for this; hacking off hands and the opposing foot (ie. left hand & right foot) is abhorrent, sorry we'll have to disagree on this. My point is Western women naively think Muslim countries are like Western ones. They don't realize they'll lose ALL their democratic Rights and Freedoms. 19 year old university students protesting have no idea what life is like for women in the Middle East, they think it's like in the West. Sorry, have they witnessed a woman being flogged? Watched a person shoved off of a roof, splat on the sidewalk? Sometimes they aren't dead yet, so they're stoned to finish them off. Have they seen that? A woman put in a hole in the ground and stoned to death, seen that? Of course they haven't.
After Oct. 7th I wrote the Israeli gov't and told them to release all the Hamas tapes UNEDITED. Put a parental warning if they wish, but if only bits and pieces are released it will be turned against their country. That has happened.
On your colonial aspect of Palestine. We know the Romans renamed them from Philistine. Philistine was a region in the ancient country of Canaan. Historians examined the ruins of ancient Philistine with the view that they wanted to prove God's stated order to Ancient Israel of conquering Canaan and sparing no one, as cruel and wrong. However, after examining the evidence they were horrified and had changed their minds. They asked the question: "Why didn't God destroy them earlier?" They found the barbarity the Philistines had was revolting against any decency. You name it, sacrificing their infants to their god Molech, wild family orgies with sons breeding with their moms and of course the genetic problems that entails, and I could go on, you get the point.
Here's my question: Has anything changed with these people? Based on Oct. 7th it appears not much has changed. Barbarity is what they do, way before any 'colonial' issues came up. Egypt welcomed Palestinians and kicked them out, Jordan then tried, forcibly kicked them out, they then moved to Lebanon. Once they took over in Lebanon, they've ruined that country. Wherever they go they attempt to take over.
How many 19 year old students know this history? Sadly, not enough.
What you just wrote here is an example of how some eloquent people can be so dangerous. It's insane how people fall for the notion that "there are no superior moral codes". Is the code of a serial killers group equal to others? If their code states killing men only is it now okay?
There's a difference between not forcing a completely Western code on more moderate Islamic countries like the UAE, recognizing the differences in culture and the fact that they don't cause immense pain and suffering. But accepting groups ISIS, pandering to genocidal regimes like Iran's and equating a group of terrorists and rapists using their own population as shields to a country defending itself and trying to minimise civilian casualties is madness. So is not prosecuting murderers and yes, accepting (inviting) the inflow of illegal immigrants or theft- encouraging rules like in CA are also appealing.
No wonder Good Will was Hunting…for friends that he could talk to intelligently. Ben Affleck is so ignorant and over the top patronizing and arrogant, it’s no wonder we have issues with communicating in this country. We’re so progressive we can’t call out terrorism in our midst.

What exactly is regressive about current progressive policies? Progressive policies currently have our GDP from 21 trillion in 2020 to 27 trillion last year. Go look at 2016 to 2020.

I disagree, extremely on some issues and veiws, with Bill Maher, but I do respect him. The reason I do is that, unlike the majority of people on the left, who have a platform, that wields a big influnce, he is, for the most part, reasonable, and he has common sense. You can have meaningful conversation and discourse with a person like that.
Only when it’s ‘safe’, he is very calculating, and knows when to speak and what direction to go….

You can't rightly say that he only calls out stuff when it's "safe", if you have kept up with everything, you know that there is NO "safe", when it comes to far left agendas.

It's interesting you say that. Israel is supposedly the far more social progressive country than either of the Palestinian territories. Yet, they've killed more innocent Palestinian women & children, than the other way around. Just because an ally of the west is considered more progressive, doesn't mean they don't have the moral high ground. Israel helped to create the neighborhood that it now claims threats it. Also, protecting the identity, image, the dignity & honor of women doesn't mean that they don't have rights.

No, he wasn't. Not even close. When Affleck asked him "are you the who understands the codified doctrine of Islam"? Harris should've responded humbly: "No", since he's not an Islamic scholar, nor even a student of the faith. Yet, he later says that "Right now, Islam is the Motherlode of bad ideas", a ridiculous statement that he ended up walking back. Islam doesn't promote the "Godless, secular, woke non-sense garbage" that Maher & Harris have been pushing for years--something, of which, they're now distancing themselves from.

I have to say, Maher's appearance in Greg's show was entertaining. When Bill said "when do others get to talk" (paraphrased) was hilarious.
My comment is for Bill - I am a fairly conservative man from Sandy, UT (Yes, I'm LDS/Mormon). I disagree with many positions that Bill has on politics, culture, religion, etc. But I really appreciate in these times of sharp division that Bill recognizes not only that we need to find a way to get back to being friends with those we might disagree with, but that he is in a position to actually do something about it, and has the courage to do it.
If young folks are so concerned about women and children dying in war ... Where have they been for the Ukraine War? Women and children are dying there too, and they didn't attack Russian first. Youth is quiet about that war. My guess is that Ukraine isn't fashionable enough to care about. After all, they don't have cool scarves to wear.

I have a love/hate relationship with Trump, as well. He can be very bombastic, says what he thinks when maybe discretion would be a better course but he did a good job as president. No new wars, peace deals in the Middle East, reduced the flow of immigrants coming over the southern border, great ideas on education......but he made mistakes with covid but just about every politician in the world did that.
If I'm to be honest, there's not a person on the planet that I agree with on everything. I understand that and live with it in that I will listen to anyone and accept what they say and do on the merits of that action and NOT due to some innate hate that I feel. And I don't, EVER, have every conversation lead back to Trump. He's just not that important to me.

People don't really understand about homosexuality and the Muslim world. I used to live in a large oil-producing theocracy in the Middle East. There are prohibitions against homosexual behavior but they are seldom enforced. It's kind of an accepted taboo that people wink at. It's inevitable in cultures that separate the sexes and prohibit sex outside of marriage. What is really banned is not the actual sex, but the "gay" public behavior.
