This makes me glad I waited till July 30th to look into the M.AR.S. Update as the month long hype would have been too draining for me otherwise. Personally, I am interested in Garm, Nidhoggr, and Scyla. Garm just seems solid and everyone loves a massive, mess-'em-up swing. Nidhoggr has a coolness factor (I imagine most will pick it for that reason alone), but being able to weaken your target is always a welcomed ability. And I love the Armiger-esque animations of Scyla. For sub weapons, as much as I love the namesakes of Fenrir and Fafnir, I'll be using Lindwurm. I am curious about the skill tree M.ARS. has to offer, too. Lastly, your "Techter Main" comment almost caused me to make a typo...the edits are unrelated.
I really don't mind the single PA as some do, and it's precisely for the reason you mentioned. The ability to change up each action offers more bang across fewer buttons, which, as a chronic multiweapon fan and controller/console player, is extremely good in my book. :D I do hope there's some reason for folks to do builds other than the readily apparent Garm/Nidhoggr and Hydra/Scylla combos. I also hope damage resist is held onto so I can take full advantage of Fafnir for my build.

I want to be able to activate and deactivate MARS on controller using L1+L2+R1+R2, saving a subpalette slot, and I'm pretty sure steam controller settings can do this... but the config menu for that thing is so terribly made and confusing, I kinda hate it.
@@mramisuzuki6962 Assuming MARS is added to the Actions list under Standard and OTS keyboard settings (dark blast was given the same treatment), it'll be super simple to bind it to one key. The trick is getting a controller to output that keystroke with a combination of buttons. That, I have no idea how to do.
I have this one burning question that's been nawing at me for the longest time now not related to the video, but how did you get that class sticker for your outfit since lately I've been just collecting everything stuff and wanted to put my class symbol on outfits without the need of an accessory so I'm kinda jelly looking at yours with literally nothing telling me how or where to get it from 😗
The class sticker I'm using is the "Ace of Techters". It's obtainable as a drop by clearing the Extreme Quest "Elite Training: Heaven & Earth" Stage 10 while playing a Techter in classic PSO2. It may not drop if your RDR is too low and its a Episode 4 endgame solo quest so it might be a little bit difficult to get if you haven't played PSO2 before. Every PSO2 class has a sticker like this though the quest itself has a weekly clear limit. Hope that helps~
Yeah same, but honestly it kind of makes sense. Most PA consume 100~full PP gauge so there is not much in terms of crazy PA combos. At least each button is different depending if its held or pressed so each weapon has 6 different attacks.
I love all the customization it has, and being able to use two main types of weapons, although aesthetically I still don't like it, I would have liked it more if aesthetically it were more similar to the dark blast...
I also kinda wish we'd have gotten a proper mecha to pilot like A.I.S. but oh well~ I hope there will be an autochat option for M.A.R.S. if there is ill make it swap my Fashion to a Cast~
Awesome video, as always! Thanks again, Cathy! You're the best on NGS!
Thank you! ♥️
Yeah, i watched enough of your videos, I need to subscribe to you.
Thank you ♥️
Can't wait for next week and I eagerly await anymore guide/tip/tricks videos about M.A.R.S. 👍

Very noice Cathy. Big hugs! Thanks for this.
This sounds like such a fun system. Gonna be cool to try out!
nice thanks for the comprehensive explanation!

@@Cathy5614 ok ty.
Cathy teaching us MARS yay!
Since it's a module system - I hope they'll add more later.
Well it's just recently released and sure have it`s pro and cons, we just have to see how they're gonna improve on the later update.

It is what it is 🤭
You know the FOMO has gotten out of hand when even a training quest is made limited time for some reason.
The game doesn't have that much fomo tbh.
Everything gets re-released and recycled constantly. You're never missing out much.

Oh yeah ever since the Steam Deck Ui update Steam Input has been a nightmare to figure out
Yes the PB and Mars should be controller triggers or a specific keybind on the keyboard.

@@Kromlech06 I have razor controller that allows some odd keybinds if you ca. find it it probably bind able.
If only I had friends to enjoy M.A.R.S with T-T

how can it be unlocked this in game
You'll get a main task to unlock it on the 31st
I want dark blast back :(
only having one PA per weapon is an oof, i would have wanted two since i can have WA bound to a button. other stuff sounds good though.

Ugh, so there will be even more of a push to select your main class, as these MARS seem to be prefer some classes unless I understood it wrong.
The class mostly doesnt matter. Your class skills arent active while using it.
