    Why do you think the two battery design is stupid? It's actually pretty useful. You have one internal battery and one external battery. The external battery gets used first, so you can actually hot-swap this battery. Having two batteries also gives you a much longer battery life overall.

    • @djverhulst
      @djverhulst  7 лет назад

      with two battery is swap easy, but for a replace you need to open the back of the laptop, and with some errors you need a compleet reboot boot and not a wake up power aveble

    You don't mention that the 8 rear panel screws are captive in the plastic base.

      Simple english please? I don't understand. I thought few screws need unscrew then pry open with plastic or flathead as the video creator did.

    Do you need to reinstall windows 10 after you replaced the SSD? Thanks,

      If you are intending to upgrade into an SSD drive - make sure you copy the data from your old drive into your new one.
      Most SSD drives include special software to copy the data from your old drive into your new one.
      I'm thinking of upgrading my hard drive myself. I have a ThinkPad P50s and it has a 5400RPM 1TB drive...:(
      I was thinking of upgrading into a faster SSD drive with a 2TB
      capacity...

      @@SimonTonekham If i remove the traditional HDD of this T560 & replace with SSD then i can fresh reinstall Windows 10 in a normal way right ?

    • @traquemort007
      @traquemort007 4 года назад

      @@snoopdeckin yeah no problem your product key is tied to your laptop. W10 should detect it as soon as you start the installation. You can look into your bios menu to be sure.

    I have the ThinkPad P50s laptop and I was wondering if the instructions are similar to the T560?

    • @djverhulst
      @djverhulst  6 лет назад

      No the P line is a mobile workstation and a T 560 is a light and not that thick notebook easy to take with you

    Didn't you need to disconnect the internal battery before switching the memory modules?

    • @woox200sx

      You can disable the internal battery from bios before dismantling the laptop.

    what type of memory module is that ? DDR3 or DDR3L ?

      I don't know I just look at the site of the memory producer which I need

    • @Wildc4rd

      It’s DDR3L..bought DDR3 and it didn’t work. Also depending on the mem module manufacturer, you may see PC3 or PC3L on the label. Go for PC3L, which is the equivalent of DDR3L

      In the specs sheet for the series...it mentions 2 slots but supports 32 GB. Kinda hard with 2 8 Gb sticks.....
      If this used DDR4...no problem.
