How's that for contrast - the awesome Bone on full AB taking off as a Cessna idles by in the opposite direction. Truly, an astonishing aircraft (The B1).

Born in Dec 1950 and have watched our SAC bombers throughout the decade of the mid 50's and 60's. The Hustler was my first love of the bomber's the B-52 was the Condor of the skies then came B-2 that was a technical wet dream. This one the BONE doesn't have words to describe it, Ginormous, Massive or just plain F#ck'n HUGE!! Retired Army, Armor & Navy Vietnam Vet, 2 tours.
Just like the Tomcat, and for a lot of the same reasons, the words I have always used are Powerful and Intimidating. The Bone is more graceful and has twice the grunt :)

Prior USAF all day but the TU-160 is much louder than this.
The b1b has 33 .000 reheat the loudest in the us Air Force
Tu160 55.000 reheat loudest in Russian Air Force

@@MilitaryAttractions it is. And i have a bad feeling this might be retired soon. For the same reason as to why the F-14 was retired in the first place.
The only other louder aircraft xb70 valkerie bomber six engine massive in terms of size Mach three could fly up to 70.000ft just a shame that the project was cancelled it would give the b52 and b1 a run for their money and the tu160 in bomb load and range and speed
Yea that plane had some issues from what I recall. Absolutely badass tho, it’s a shame that only the US and Russia have heavy bombers and supersonic bombers. Wonder when China is gonna join the game with their own design
