Hi Black Sheep Miracle. That's an awesome memory. Had the same experience as you. I remember having a friend spend the night as well playing Ninja Gaiden and drinking Mountain Dew soda way past my bedtime. I picked up the other two games as well and need to beat those games. Thanks for sharing that memory 😊.
Hey Greg. Oh cool! Yeah Ninja Gaiden 3 should be really fun. I own 1 & 2 but not the 3rd one yet. I'll have to check out your video because I've never seen the game before. I take it you enjoyed it which means it will be a future pickup of mine.
I could only beat the final bosses with the Jump and Slash. And each time you beat one, it takes it away. You go to the next boss with no sub weapon. So i had to lose, go all the way back to 6-1, get the JS in 6-2, and make it back to the boss room. At least it would resume on whichever boss you left off on. It took about a half hour, but could beat the demon in 3 hits with JS.
@robertmcginty4146 Yeah, jump and slash really helps. That's what I had to use also. I'm glad you were able to beat the demon. It's such a challenging game, but fun with frustration mixed into it, lol.
@@MikeTheGamingRoadWarrior I actually broke my first student desk by pounding my fist on it when I couldn't get past the cliff level. My mom was pi$$ed.
@robertmcginty4146 😆 🤣. That game has a tendency to do that to people. I almost chucked my controller at my 📺. Same place. The cliff level when I first played it when I was a kid, 😆.
Played this nonstop as a kid. I beat Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2, pt. 2 is easier than part 1 by far in my opinion, never played part 3 in-depth because I think I had moved on to other stuff as a teen. Awesome game and video
That's cool Joey. Yes, part 1 was my first game I ever got for my Nintendo. Never played 2 or 3 until I decided to purchase them as an adult. I do like 2 and 3. Prefer the Japanese 3 one though since I get unlimited contines. You should definitely play 3 more. It's actually pretty fun. If you can find the hack that has the English translation or the Famicom one.
Yeah, Bloody Malth led to my death multiple times until we just traded blows and I was able to drain his life bar before mine, lol. That guy is a tough hombres. Yeah, the other guy which I called Jacky OOOOOO, lol. He was the Jaquio (Jaki--Oh).
I had no idea that ninja gaiden was a simple beat em up. but to watch it being played on youtube and giving it a try myself.. it must have been hell for the kids that brought it lol.
It wasn't an easy game. I was stuck with it and I played it after school when I was a kid. The bridge sequence where I kept dying was the spot in the game I absolutely hated, lol. You start figuring out where the enemies spawn at and the equipment you need (jump and slash) is when it started to be better. That's my gameplay and you can see that I almost died against the last bosses. Fun game though. If it wasn't for Ninja Gaiden; I wouldn't have loved playing Bloodborne or Dark Souls 3 on PS4. Punishing games but fun.
Holy smokes dude! That's a long time. Yeah, I beat it as a teen. I fired up this game again by playing it a few days. I didn't play straight otherwise I might be tempted to throw my controller at the tv, 😅. Glad you were able to beat it though.
It was the same story with FF7. Games i did not complete as a kid or a teenager i did not beat until about my mid 20's when i get a good retro gaming streak going. The only game that's left that i still want to beat from back in the day is Friday the 13th or Roger Rabbit, Maybe ill do that after 10 more years. My backlog of games in queue is truly unimaginable and endless starting with Paprium and ending with Toxic Crusaders . I do however suggest "The messenger " to anyone who has just beat NG.
@@zerocool1ist, your like me too. I have alot of games in my backlog. Doing these RUclips videos is when I've been motivated to beat the game. "Friday the 13th" is awesome. I will definitely try that game out zerocool1ist. Thank you for that suggestion.
@@VKQinterestsadventures yeah, it took alot of tries as a kid for me. It was my first game I got for my NES besides Super Mario Bros/ Duckhunt. Once you play it alot you'll figure it out especially the place I like to call the death bridge, 😆 🤣.
@@FaTBoYs_GaMInG_N_NoNsEnSe the difficulty in this game is maddening, lol. That's what the game genie was designed for. Leaving that glitch on 6--1 and making you come back to 6-1 if you died on 6-2 or 6-3 was dumb. It took longer to figure out the bosses patterns. Still in all. When you beat it; its the best feeling in the world. Still love this game though. Even though it was difficult.
@@FaTBoYs_GaMInG_N_NoNsEnSe there's people that had did a speed run on this game. Yeah, I need to watch one. Yeah, who knows how long that speed runner practiced on Ninja Gaiden before getting good, lol.

@@damin9913 oh no. Yeah, hopefully you can get both Ninja Gaiden and a NES again. I still play it, which me and my friends just had a console challenge with it. Let me know whenever you decide to pick them both up and you beat the last boss. Looking forward to you beating the game.
About 10+ years ago, I remember buying this game for $4.95 at a game store in Wichita Falls, TX. Took me many tries but I managed to beat it with a trick. Nowadays, I don't use the trick anymore. I test my skills every time I get to the last 2 final bosses. 2nd boss was the hardest part until I found a strategy. Ninja Gaiden makes a wonderful memory test. I say Ninja Gaiden 3 is harder than the first. Continues are limited and you take a bit more damage unlike the Japanese version.
Wow Matt, that was a good deal for Ninja Gaiden. I was always thinking if the 1st game was hard; I didn't want to get the other two games since I was limited to having one game on Christmas and another on my birthday. I played 3 before and loved the reach on Ryu's sword. I have the hack for 3 that gives me unlimited continues and its more forgiving compared to the American one we got. I enjoy playing that more compared to my original 3 though. I'll be doing a video on my hack later in the future. Glad you try to push yourself on this game. It's a great challenging game.
The Ninja Gaiden series is quite possibly the best side scroller for the adult male in classic console gaming history... I would have focused on more realism and given the character the ability to stick to walls for only a second in order to vault off them exactly like the NES Batman game... add some minor stealth elements a cool double stage jump plus unarmed strikes like jump kicks and most importantly the ability to throw bad guys (similar to the arcade game) and your character would be absolutely complete!!! If you really wanted to take it to the next level you could give the character more realistic weapons plus the ability to dodge, block and perry similar to Ghost of Tsushima Overall with the success of Mark of the Ninja I think Gaiden is screaming for a modernized remake and you could easily add these types of features to give the game a phenomenal amount of depth despite its 2D platform. It's such a crime the Ninja Gaiden series became a High fantasy seizure inducing mess in its 3D iteration but then again even Mario abandoned the 2D element
@@gamesucks3092 I remember playing the 3D version and thinking that I wished they would of still kept it to 2D as well.
