So the inmate was being unruly, then when the inmate was grabbed and probably told to come with him he put a hand on the officers chest, and the officer smacked tf outta him? Seems about right, why tf people mad
I’m not proud of or glorifying anything but as an ex knucklehead I’ve done my share of jail time. And I’ve never had a problem with any guards. Ever.. It’s all about the way you carry yourself and have respect. Do your time and go home 💯
Facts when you show respect you get it. Respect goes along way when it comes between guards and inmates. When the inmates treat the guards with respect they get respect but as soon as you disrespect someone you get that same energy.

This has been going on for over 3 decades in Houston Harris county jail now, the jail guards which can be deputy or jailers has been jumping inmates in rooms without cameras and sometimes in rooms with cameras such as this incident. Harris county jail is the top 10 worse and most dangerous jail in the USA
We are a state here in Texas that has a law called "mutual combat" drop the bs charges. That, started, as a mutual fight. Let the man go on all chrages, even the bs probation violation, and both sides call it a wash

My best friend got his @$$ kicked by a handful of Harris county guards about 10 years ago over a T-shirt. My boy had my MCJROTC on when he went to jail and I guess the guard was a marine and told my friend he needed to take the shirt off because it was "Disrespecting" the Marine Corps... My friend refused to take it off because it was cold. So they threw him in a holding tank and had 4 or 5 guards beat him until he gave up the shirt.
Recently in Japan some Marines caused other Marines to have the most strict off base rules possible. I'm sure there are a lot of vets in the system too.... All of that beating was unnecessary.

The attorney admits the jailer told the inmate to be quiet. The guard approaches the inmate, possibly because the inmate refused to stop disrupting the detention environment. A man has to adapt to his environment. The inmate should have kept his hands down. Instead, the inmate raised his left hand to the jailer.

@@johanstrohman4465 More commands from a distance might have been better, but the "grab" was justified based on the lawyer's admission alone. In other words, the jailer could have continued to try verbal commands, but verbal commands having failed to stop the disruption, escorting the inmate to another location was reasonable. The inmate should have kept his hands down and availed himself of grievance procedures.

Today, I learned a new word, Ambulance Chaser, and that is what this lawyer is. The video was pretty fast but you can clearly see the inmate struck the guard first by trying push the guard away with his left hand. The guard has every right to defend himself, but did he go over board? Yes.
Long story short, the inmate was wrong to no stfu first, second, the lawyer is an ambulance chaser and sees only money.
