Top 6 Best Evolution Gimmicks in Pokémon

- Pokémon evolve in all sorts of ways, however some of them do it in a special way, or take an existing method of evolution and tailor it to fit that specific line. Sometimes an evolution gimmick can take a totally mundane Pokémon and make them stand out, so let's see which ones do it the best!
As of Legends Arceus, Nosepass can evolve via Thunder Stone - it’s the only one of all Pokémon that evolve through a stone tied directly to a specific type which isn’t that type before or after the evolution
Yeah, we kinda of expected that once we learned Charjabug evolved that way now, but it's nice to have it confirmed! I wish more stones branched out or were less specific like the Moon or Shiny stones...
I'm just wondering why it wasn't a Metal Coat
@@Mgauge it’ll be because Nosepass, like Charjabug and Magneton used to evolve in ‘special magnetic fields’ - so I guess the Thunder Stone has magnet powers or something
@@Mgauge because then it would be a trade evolution.
They don't have to be trade evolution though. He can just level up holding a metal coat
How does Nosepass even evolve?
Mantyke evolving only if a Remoraid was in the battle was always funny to me. Like it could evolve but it refuses to until it has its favourite friend's support.
Maybe Mantine actually needs to have a symbiotic relationship with Remoraid? I know some real symbiotic relationships involve a smaller creature cleaning harmful pests off of a bigger creature. Pollenating bugs and plants also need each other. Maybe something like that is happening here, or maybe it was just a cute design choice to show that they're friends.
The power of friendship, folks
I do actually really like all of the ancient power evolutions. Tangela becoming a giant swamp beast, Yanmega becoming a griffinfly/ and piloswine becoming an ancient mammoth.
I wish they would retroactively change Slowpoke's evolution method to involve Shellder. Maybe it could be like the Mantyke method, but if Shellder is above it in the party list you get Slowking or below it you get Slowbro. Just an idea!
I agree actually; it's so weird that a Shellder just materializes out of nowhere!
@@emperorcubone or maybe just bring back Turban from the beta, as it’s own Pokémon, regional variant, or maybe convergent evolution of shelder.
@@emperorcubone Clearly the only reason why they did it that way originally is because there were more limitations in what they could actually accomplish back then on those old systems. It could also be that they didn't want to complicate things too much, especially since most people probably wouldn't think to do something like that without needing a guide of some sort to help them figure it out
I love this idea
Or maybe slowpoke evolves by battling a shellder!
Mantyke evolves in the most anime way possible:
✨THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP✨
Evolution was the friends we made along the way.
I'm surprised no one has mentioned but I love Karrabast and shelmet's evolution method, it's built into the design of the Pokemon while also taking inspiration from hermit crabs. I'm generally not a fan of trade evolutions bc it's restrictive, especially if you're going back and replaying older games, but this is an exception
Except that they actually have nothing to do with hermit crabs. Karrablast is based off a type of insect that hunts and eats snails, thus when the 2 are traded with one another, Karrablast will attack Shelmet to try to eat it, but will wind up with it's shell while Shelmet escapes unharmed
Agreed! I wish that trade evolutions should all have other methods available, too, but it's fun when they're unique like Shelmet and Karrablast!
I love the way Inkay evolves. I think its cool, and going to be very difficult to continue because of how weird it is.
Yeah, maybe it could be done with just a controller, but it wouldn't be quite the same...
Fun fact: the image used for the Pokédex entry for mantine in Pokémon home adds a little extra detail in its shiny form, as the remoraid in the image will also be shiny! Very unique and amazing detail for such a unique Pokémon!
Wow, wonder what the odds are on finding both of those at once?
The best thing about milotic is that when you transfer a milotic who has maxed it's beauty stat into gen 5 it can just evolve by leveling up just after it.
Also in ORAS feebas was the only Pokemon to evolve into same specie by two vastly different methods.
I like what they did with milcery and alcremie in SWSH. the fact that you have to utilize the spinning mechanic in order to not just evolve milcery, but to evolve it into the form you want, is hilarious
I know it was a joke, but I TOTALLY want that "top 10 staircases" list
Hah, I'd have to do a lot more research to decide...
My favorite evolution gimmick is without a doubt Kingambit. You need to catch a leader Bisharp, and then take down three other leaders, leaving your Bisharp the strongest leader and therefore evolving it.
Actually you can raise any Bisharp, as long as you do defeat three leader Bisharp
@@omarpride3021 Well, the reason I said you need to catch a leader Bisharp is because you need the Leader's Crest, though I guess you can just use thief and let Bisharp hold it.
@@Conorator they can evolve without having Bisharp holding it though
I like it when Pokémon have evolution gimmicks, with Inkay’s gimmick definitely being cool and unique, but if I had to choose one evolution gimmick I don’t like, it’s got to be Galarian Yamask, where you have to make it take a certain amount of damage and then go to a random spot in the Wild Area. Aside from that, I like most evolution gimmicks
Don't forget that no one tells you that, or even gives you a clue for that. You either are lucky or you have to look it online
*"it’s got to be Galarian Yamask, where you have to make it take a certain amount of damage and then go to a random spot in the Wild Area."*
I disagree. I like it because its based on its lore (everything surrounding Runerigus is based on Buddhist culture, including its evolution method). Is like if you were summoning an spirit.
@@nicolasheredia956 Just like how there was no clue for Tyrogue's evolution?.
@@toumabyakuya Pretty much, yeah
@@nicolasheredia956 Then why does Tyrogue get a pass but not Galarian Yamask?.
My favorite Gimmick Pokemon is probably Alcremie. As someone who love to bake, Evolving a cream pokemon by whipping it makes so much sense !!!
I also love the newly introduce Annihilape. I don't remember in each version the Pokedex said for Primape : "he can die by becoming too angry", and now, by using Rage Fist over and over gain, he became a Ghost type... So much lore fitting !
Shame that the Mantine evolution method wasn't applied to Slowpoke & Shellder, because that's what the Dex says supposedly happens...
@@brycepruitt5098
I mean, you don’t lose Remoraid by evolving Mantyke. I think the actual reason is just that they hadn’t implemented such unusual evolution conditions when Slowbro and Slowking were introduced, and they didn’t want to retroactively change the evolution method for a Pokémon that already has a relatively standard evolution method (by level-up or by trade with a specific item held, respectively). (Unlike the cases where they have retroactively changed an evolution for a Pokémon: evolution with high Beauty (a mechanic that only existed in RSE, DPPt, ORAS, and BDSP) to evolution by trade-with-held-item, and evolution by leveling up in a specific location (which would necessarily vary between regions and would constrain the environmental design to have to consider) to evolution by evolution stone, which were rather unusual conditions and forcing future games to accommodate them would be a pain, changing the evolution methods for Slowpoke could be seen as just adding complexity.)
As for Galarian Slowpoke’s evolutions, I imagine they wanted to make it simple but also require the DLC even though Galarian Slowpoke itself (as well as Shellder) can be obtained without that DLC, so evolution-with-an-item made the most sense to them. And requiring a Shellder in the party along with the necessary item might be seen as needless complications.
For Mantyke, you just need it and Remoraid in your party and level-up Mantyke; for Pancham, you just need it to reach level 32 or higher while both it and a Dark-type Pokémon (any will do) are in your party. No items (or any other conditions besides level and the party itself) are required. These are very simple.
@@bhull242 Those examples of changed evolution methods aren't actually changes. They are added alternatives, with the old methods still working if available. Biggest reason why changing a simple method doesn't work.
@@TheRedSmarty
True, but my point still stands.
@@bhull242 Wasn't disagreeing. Was just adding to it.
Honestly Top 10 Pokemon Staircases would hit different.
Ancient Power evolutions I grew fond of because the Pokemon is unlocking a trait once lost over time.
Don't think I've ever been so early haha! Turning that 3DS upside down was really cool, I actually like it more now than I did when I first played X/Y
Yeah, it's another that you probably won't do by accident, but just kinda clicks once you learn it...
Just playing through the game, my favorite is good ol fashion leveling up with no other conditions. For completing the Pokédex, evolution items that are all easily obtained. Everything else can go away 😅
It does help that in Gen 9 the Dex itself gives out rewards for collecting more like Evolution stones, which helps you get more, which gets you more rewards, etc...
I am a 15 year Pokémon veteran, Who thought I knew everything about these games. I just discovered something new with the Mantyke evolution… Great video!!!
Ah, there's nothing like a fresh Emperor Cubone video in the morning. ☕
This isn't really a gimmick, but I really appreciated that Legends Arceus had an alternative to trade evolutions. I wish every game would do that!
It really is crazy not to bring it back; even just having one Link Cable in the whole game and making us choose would be better than nothing!
The Mystery Dungeon games did the same thing.
Can't wait for the
Worst evelotion gimmicks soon
Yeah that would be so funny just level ups😅😅😅😅
For #6, Crabrawler does something similar. It starts as a fighting type, and then “absorbs” the ice stone to become Crabominable and gain the ice typing.
That only happens now in Gen 9, which is too little too late; Crabrawler could have done that from the start in Alola when the Ice Stone was also introduced, but no dice...
@@emperorcubone I mean, it makes sense that Crabrawler, being based on the Yeti Crab, evolves in a tundra-like area, is making reference to the cryptid its name comes from, the Yeti.
I've been watching your videos for years but your intro never gets old it has to one of the best end the platform, great video one of your best yet😊
Thank you! I'm glad it's worth coming back! :)
Idea for a video: who is the strongest starter lorewise? Mainly talking about pokedex entries, mangá stuff and anime stuff
Hmm, I don't usually read the manga so it might take a while to figure out, but it is an interesting question!
@@emperorcubone lore strenght is a topic thats way too underrated it is alot of fun to talk about all the interesting pokedex lore
For the Kalos fossils I understand a bit because for Amaura evolves into Aurora which is kind of like THE northern lights Pokémon which are more visible during the night. For Tyrunt it was made just to be different but there is a reason for Amaura.
I'm surprised Inkay isn't on the list rather that just the thumbnail.
It's the only evolution method that requires the player to physically do something to make it into a Malamar. If we're talking about uniqueness, it doesn't get much more unique than that. :P
Man I miss contests. That was my favorite part of Gen 3, and that's my favorite gen.
Contents are in rse (gen 3), dppt (gen 4), oras (gen 6), and bdsp (gen 8)
@@teamawesomeness7137 i am fully aware, thank you.
Mantine is one of my favourite pokemon just because it's the first one to appear in the movie I used to watch when I was little.
So many others... Malamar's upside down evolution. Bellosom I'm pretty sure is the only one to drop a type when it evolves. Milcery spinning into Alcremie...
I definitely agree with you on that Mantine section. Even though the Pokémon is based off from a manta ray, every time I see it, it reminds me of the symbiotic relationship between sharks and remora fishes. In fact, this Pokemon (and the Magic School Bus) is the reason why I was able to nail my science class covering the topic when I was a child. XD Thank you for another great topic, Emperor Cubone.
Rhydon the Magic School Bus!
@@emperorcubone Bah….I fell for that. XD
I despise Feebas's original evolution method with a passion. Not only is finding one its own level of hell in and of itself, let alone finding one with a nature that likes the dry flavor and especially in Gen 4, where the spots change every single day, but getting its Beauty condition high enough is Satan reincarnated, and it's even worse in Gen 3, which relies on an internal battery for clock based events to occur.
To increase a Beauty condition, you need to feed it PokeBlocks or Poffins that are either dry tasting or blue colored, and you need berries to make them. You can't just make them whenever, you have to go to Contest Halls to use the Berry Blender or Poffin Houses to make Poffins. Then you need to play a minigame and do well in order to get a low smoothness and high level. Oh, and if your Feebas has a nature that dislikes the dry flavor, you may as well release it into the wild and catch another one, repeating the process until you get one with a nature that likes the dry flavor or is at least neutral to it, because it gets less of a Beauty benefit from each snack. The worst part is that you can permanently lock your Feebas out of evolving. Feeding a Pokemon PokeBlocks or Poffins increases its sheen, and once that value maxes out, it can't eat anymore. If you don't get your Feebas to the right Beauty level before its sheen maxes out, you'll have to release that Feebas into the wild and catch another one to restart the process.
Back to the internal battery part of the rant, if your battery runs dry, berries can't grow in your game anymore, unless you replace the battery. Oh, except for the fact that replacing the internal battery resets the clock, and no new clock based events can occur until the new battery catches up to the previous one, meaning you won't be able to grow berries until that happens anyway. There are so many factors as to how evolving Feebas works, and I'm probably making it sound harder than it actually is, but God, does everything surrounding getting Milotic suck balls.
I always found nincada's possible evolution into two simultaneously pokemon fascinating. A 2 for q special if you will. It especially helps that it evolves at a low enough lvl and is caught early enough in the game it is plausible to not have your 6th slot occupied yet, so you can just have a random extra pokeom in your party to confuse the rest of your days.
To be honest, I can't recall 6 evolution gimmics that I hate. But if i have to summarise them with a few words: Thoose that require online play...
Top 10 Pokémon staircases sounds like an April Fools special
The only reason I thought of it is because they seemed so proud of their massive staircase in Scarlet and Violet.
In my opinion, the best evolution gimmick was Galarian Yamask evolving into Runerigus. To evolve an Galarian Yamask, you have to make it take at least 49 points of damage in one battle, then walk under the stone sculpture in the in the Dusty Bowl section of the Wild Area.
Funnily enough, according to this video's counterpart, this is what Emperor Cubone considers the absolute WORST evolution gimmick.
Annihilape is 100% the best from a flavour perspective.
Mantyke
Honestly, Top 10 Pokémon Staircases would be a nice April Fools video
My favorite evolution gimmick is twirling in Sword & Shield to evolve Milcery into Alcremie. I found that out accidentally when I equipped a cake decoration. I thought that it was by level up after that, but after I randomly twirled (I like the Charizard pose), I was surprised when it evolved
Can’t wait for Gen 14 when Scovillain gets its third evo
personally I feel like certain pokemon learning ancient power to evolve makes sense to me, they had ancestral potential they previously couldn't access, but with ancient powers they suddenly have a way to activate that dormant ability
The rockruff line has to be an S tier pokemon line from any generation.
9:50 I don’t know why that line was so funny, but it’s too true
Fun little tidbit- While I’m not sure exactly when they were produced, there was Mantine action figure that came with a tiny little remoraid (that had a little nib on the top so you could attach it to the arms of one of the mantine). It’s one of the few figured I still have, along with the tiny, pupil-less remoraid. It’s such a cool detail, kinda wished they did similar things for other figures.
Every Stone gets some love... Except the Dawn Stone.
Speaking of which. Lycanrock should have a Dawn form.
Only for the new Dawn form! Nah, but Clamperl should ditch the Deep Sea items and just use the Dawn Stone...
I remember when I just started out with pokemon bw2 and I found a feedbas. I knew it needed a prism scale but not a trade partner. I ended up leveling it up to 100 before I figured it out. Don't know why I didn't question it until level 100 though.
I did the same thing with my first Onix; I just kept leveling it up while holding the metal coat, but it never evolved...
As a solo player with limited consoles/handhelds.... trade evos are my only issue
I mostly agree with this list aside from number 1. When the evolution was introduced for Mantine, the sprite for it has been missing the remoraid, making the gimmick more confusing and less intuitive. I would have a completely different opinion if they kept remoraid in the sprite, but they just don't anymore.
That top 10 staircases could be a good april fools video
I actually think they changed it to where own tempo rockruff only evolves into dusk form
Well that's kinda the opposite of what I wanted, just letting me get any of the 3 from any ability, but I guess that's a step in the right direction?
Worst evolution gimmicks maybe, tho not many truly bad ones tbh, one i hate tho is the use X move 20+ times condition arceus introduced tbh lol...
Edit: im realizing qwilfish on the list, preferences are prefences lol... tho i dont like them cause i think 20 is WAY to many tbh...
Edit2: for a future pokemon game, id like to see an evolution where you give the pokemon an item, and then use the stone on them, feel that would be a unique change up~
I mean I understand that, but how many times do you use Flamethrower on your Fire type? more than 20 I imagine...
Unlike most people, I actually do not mind about Friendship evolutions because I love having my Pokémon love me and taking care of them & I love the Affection mechanic! I hope they put that in all future games! I especially have a very affectionate Feraligatr in SoulSilver! And in Sword and Shield, I especially have 3 affectionate Dragons! Actually at least 5 if you count both games! Heck in Scarlet, I especially have a very affectionate Floatzel, Skeledirge, Garchomp & Fraxure!
Mine might be a spoiler for those who didn't finished their Scarlet/Violet playthrough.
The method for the new Bisharp Evolution is very creative IMO, you need to defeat 3 Bisharps who hold a Leader's Crest, you can't just fight any Bisharp, your Bisharp needs to prove its worth I really appreciated it.
Does crabrawler evolve via ice stone now? If so then it also gets a type added
I want a top 10 ledges because I feel coming down Blackthorn city is one of the most satisfying feeling going downhill in 2D
I definitely would have put Nincada on this list
Half of it is standard, but the other half is incredibly unique for sure!
2 for price of 1. What a deal!
Love that you can get all Lycanroc forms in S/V just roaming in the overworld.
Do ‘top 6 Pokémon that know the tragedy of darth plaguise the wise’
Hah, I'm not sure there are 6; it's not a story the Jedi would tell you...
Capsikid should get a Dusk Stone Ghost Type evolution based on Ghost Peppers.
I love how it make so much sense for some of the new pokemon to evolve by walking (sorry I forgot their names, I renamed them all)
Like the tumbleweed, the dirt beetle, and pawmo, they all are different yet, the method fit so much
Sorry, I agree with the other two, but how does it make sense on Pawmo?
@@emperorcubone i think it has to do with jogging or those mouse spinning wheels.
Playing Pokémon Yellow as a kid, I was shocked that Slowpoke evolved into Slowbro without a Shellder. I thought that having both in a party would evolve it, but it didn’t work.
Dishonorable Mentions: Galarian Yamask! And even don't get me started on the wild Pokémon that'll attack if you're too close to the area!
It wasn't until I hatched a Shiny where I noticed what's everyone's deal is. At first I thought you had to take some damage and it'll evolve but no! You have to take enough damage without fainting! So Annoying!
But my most favorite is Milcury! Spinning around to evolve it is so funny!
(Also out of the 3 my most favorite is Hitmontop!)
Also also they kinda made getting Dusk Form Lycanroc in Sword And Shield easier. There's a Max Raid Den In The Isle Of Armor DLC with Rockruff with it's special ability then all you do is take it to the daycare with a Ditto, put a Everstone on it and it'll spread the ability! I managed to finally get a Shiny Dusk Mane Lycanroc that way! ✨🐺
Not gonna lie the last line of the first Pokémon on this list made me laugh
I like mankites evolve method because it shows the 2 people help one another and I think it helps with world building
I still like that we basically get a free Shedinja when Nincada evolves.
I hope we get more stone evolutions cases similar to Eevee and Capsakid, where they take on the stone's power.
It makes more sense to me that Pokémon would acquire new traits and type through the unique property of the evolution stones. Than say Arcanine, who I always forget is a stone evo.
If you do a worst evos please make trade only No. 1 it was fixed in Legends Arceus but annoyingly rolled back in Sc/Vi.
I don’t have friends who play Pokemon and I don’t currently have a NSO subscription which means I will never complete the Pokédex, though version exclusives also don’t help with this 😢
Dude I spent a good chunk of my teenage years trying to catch a Feebase and evolving it
Ancient power makes tangela evolve probably because it’s based on a caveman. Could also be the same reason it works for yanmega where it’s basically calling on it’s primal form.
The best evolution gimmick is Level up. It’s so underrated and it’s so unique.
In usum, during a certain time period, an event rockruff with own tempo will evolve into dusk form lycanroc
2:40 Wurmple and Applin having 4 evolved forms each: Am I a joke to you?
Although they are arranged a bit differently...
╔ Flapple
Applin ╬ Appletun
╚ Dipplin ═ Hydrapple
╔ Silcoon ═ Beautifly
Wurmple ╩ Cascoon ═ Dustox
You should make a list of the Top 9 Best regions from the main series games, lots of options to choose from
Are we talking JUST the regions themselves and not the games? Because those are very different lists...
I wish there was a Rock type who's evolution had different forms with different types based on which stone was used. It seems like such an easy concept that I'm surprised it hasn't been done yet.
A stone reacting to the stones? Yeah that would be pretty cool!
@@emperorcubone Even better: have it evolve depending on the type of Weather Rock it's holding.
I love evolving milcery, it's so fun and so many variations. And I love alcremie, my favourite fairy type
Karrablast and shelmet got done dirty here
Also the dawn stone in both cases adds a new type to the Pokémon
Unpopular opinion: I like the walking evolutions. If you don't just run around in circles, you can grow a bond with your pokemon easily by walking and autobattling with them.
Yeah, I don't know. I'd be much more of a fan of them if it wasn't continuous. If they behaved like eggs and it was just overall steps I think it'd be better than making me stop literally everything else I'm doing to focus only on that...
I think it would be better if there was a counter saying how many steps you did
@@whisperingwooper1763 and don't reset them
But if you trade your feebas holding a prism scale, it is not you who gets the Milotic but someone else instead. But if it’s through infrared trading right with someone in the same room, you can trade it back
I remember back in the days of RBY/GS we would spread rumors about certain "tricks" to evolve Haunter and Graveler without trading.Or other Pokemon like Steelix, which we never figured out how to evolve 😅 We hardly understood english at 10 years old, so these evolutions became something like a myth. I finally managed to get my Steelix when DP came out 🎆

Kingambit has the best evo method having it assert dominance against all other bisharp making it become king
Luckily, in oras, it’s possible to max feebas' beauty without how high other contest stats are getting in the way, as sheen no longer exists.
We need more Pokémon like evee that exists basically to have gimmicks with multiple evolution
Like the 3 monkey that are so hated
They would be so much better if
Water monkey evolves using friendship or drinking a lot of water during 1 battle so its evolution has some hp recovery moves and ability based on absorbing water like vaporeon or something and it's a wall
The grass monkey evolves leveling up or eating a lot of berries so it gains abilities and moves that makes it immune from status condition and improve his stats like some berries do
The fire monkey evolves with stones or helping hatching eggs so its evolution would have some tag team or switching in and out abilities and moves pool for double battle
Well really to make it shine there would have been one base monkey that then can evolve into those three different types through the different methods...
It was in the thumbnail which is what reminded me of this. So you evolve Inkay by holding your system upside down…
Me playing an emulator trying to evolve my Inkay: “Welp”
I actually made quite a few interesting evolution methods when making the Pokemon for my own original Pokemon region, the Fleura Region.
UNOWN --> OLNOWEN
Capture one of every kind of Unown and put them in the same PC box in alphabetical order, ?, and !. No other Pokemon can be inside of that box. If even one of the Unown is shiny, then Olnowen will be shiny as well.
VIRICE --> BERBONIC
Virice is an Ice/Poison Pokémon. It evolves with a Fire Stone since you're using the heat of the stone to free the Virice from its icy prison.
EEVEE --> SCALEON or SPECTREON
Have Eevee use either Dragon Claw or Shadow Claw and faint 10 Pokemon of the opposite type (Shadow Claw on Dragons, Dragon Claw on Ghosts).
OLELIXIR
Not an evolution method, but it comes in many different colors. You can change its color with the Hue Synthesizer item, and its color determines its stat spread. With a BST of 60 across the board except for 120 in two of the stats, with those stats varying depending on, you guessed it, its color.
PEBBLIFT --> BRAWLDER
Have it defeat 10 Rock Types using the move Seismic Toss
There's more if I can remember them.
This is cheating, but I LOVE all the ways Eevee Evolves, I just wish it could have more than only stones needing to Evolve 5 of them, I love the idea of Eevee being spread out and you TRULY need to adapt to the environment!
When I played Detective Pikachu I thought Feebas evolved into Milotic by having a high friendship while the trainer had a prism scale in their bag.
I didn’t even know that’s how mantyke evolved
Can you do worst gimmick evolution? Trade is number one and Temtem has it the worst. Because for the evolution is how many levels they gain to evolve. Meaning if you have a creature that evolves at 25 levels and you have a level 25 creature then that creature evolves at level 50. And it gets really difficult in later areas so you’re forced to breed to evolve your creature.
Wow, didn't realize that about Temtem, but yeah I'll most likely be doing the worst options soon enough...
Can we expect a juicy “Pokémon problems with the paldea region” in the future?
Yeah, for sure. I'm just waiting for decent images of the official art to drop so it's up to par with the rest of them...
Theres a lot videos taking about adding new types. Maybe a video about what types could be deleted( for example normal and then all normal pokemons get new typing based on remaining types) or could be merged( like ground and rock to earth type)
As much as people seem to dislike Normal I think it's essential to keep in Pokemon, both to have a baseline standard to compare all of the other types, and one that stays largely neutral. But combining types is a neat idea, I'd be fine with Earth type!
@@emperorcubone It was just and example. I LOVE normal types. Fact that "normal" types give us some of the weirdest, most gimmicky pokemon, makes it my favourite.
I'll never forget buying pokemon moon just to catch rockruff to evolve it into midnight form lycanroc
Speaking of baby pokemon, I'm surprised you didn't mention Toxel since it's the only pokemon that has different evolutions based on it's nature (I know that it's just two different forms of Toxtricity and not two different pokemon but it's still special)
Good morning everybody! Happy pokémon Tuesday!
Great Solic video. All I got to say is about it, they need to kill off trade evolution. That's why the reason why I don't even bother with geodude. My favorite pokémon always being golemn and I wont use one now since I got to have someone to trade with.
It was good in Sun and Moon that they have an online trading market but now they took it away and put it behind a paywall.
Well they did add the Link Cable item in Legends: Arceus so you didn't have to trade, so maybe we'll see it more often?
@@emperorcubone o yes I totally forgot.
The price isn’t that bad compared to other consoles
Similar to capsikid gaining fire type when evolved with a fire stone, Crabrawler gains ice type when evolved with an ice stone
Yeah... NOW. How come they couldn't do that back in Gen 7 when it was introduced at the exact same time as the Ice Stone?
