One of the top vacation spots for spring breakers is also a go-to fishing destination for many anglers across the US. Panama City Beach hosts some of the best bay, reef, and offshore fishing areas. Whether planning a family trip or a weekend getaway with your fishing buddies, PCB has something in store for everyone.
The town is surrounded by productive bays, estuaries, and rivers that provide a range of inshore opportunities for all types of anglers. The shallow, clear waters here make it easy to spot your target and reel in lots of fish. These inshore waters hold healthy populations of Redfish, Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, and many more.
Just off the coast, you can reel in lots of rewarding catches over artificial reefs that host large numbers of bottom species such as Grouper, Snapper, Triggerfish, and Tripletail. Even further offshore you can troll for pelagic species like Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, and the list goes on.

Hi Derson, thanks for watching! To fish in a lagoon, bay, or any other body of saltwater, you'll need a Florida saltwater fishing license. If you plan on fishing in any lakes or rivers, you'll need a freshwater fishing license. There are lots of different factors that may determine which type of fishing license you need, so be sure to check out our Florida fishing license video from our fishing licenses playlist on RUclips. In terms of fish seasonality, restrictions, size and bag limits, etc., head to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's website at myfwc.com and search "Fishing Regulations."
