Jeff Skinner of the Buffalo sabres uses this move coming up the wing all the time. That split second he freezes defenders is all he needs then he explodes. Your placing your foot down on a flat edge, then moving to an outside edge. You should place your blade down on the outside edge , that will really develope your edges.

The first variations is epic to be honest, i often use it to gain speed as well, great footwork
Everything can be broken down into mastering inside and outside edges. Punch stops, spread eagles, etc, all variations and combinations of edges 👊💪
