Joanne cleans out Larry completely
Sorry about the potato quality, blame the 2005/06 encoding..
44:50 *BOO-YAH!!!* She has won it all! Over 600,000 Australian bucks worth of prizes (including that new condominium on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland). Congratulations! It’s all yours! 🎉🎉🎉
The Mega Showcase win of $664,667 (about US$612,000) won by Joanne on this episode was a world record for the Price franchise that stood until exactly three years later, in February 2008, when Adam Rose won US$1,153,908 on the U.S. primetime version of the show.
Also, TPIR in the US is celebrating 50 seasons on the air this year (it began September 4, 1972). I can't help but wonder how we Americans would do if our Showcase round was done like the one done here. I don't think anybody else who has a version of the show does the Showcase this way.
This was as tense as Millionare when that guy won the $ 1,000,000 for the first time.
It would be so fun seeing TPIR USA do this. It would be harder but the tension builds so wonderfully! And what a payoff!!!
this episode was the best ever i was at the edge of my seat....i didn't think that she would win but she did....i was screaming an cheering on...good on her
Just so everyone knows, this wasn't the record-breaking moment for an Australian game show. That honour still belonged to Robert Kusmierski (who won $676,790 on "Sale of the Century" hosted by Glenn Ridge in 1992), who would hold onto it for another six months, when Rob O'Neill won over $700,000 on Temptation...and then lost that title a month later when Rob "Coach" Fulton won some million dollar game show.
This was, however, a record for any version of "The Price is Right" until a couple of contestants won a million dollars in The $1,000,000 Spectaculars that aired in the US.
+Tubewings Do not forget about Yolanda's Biggest win in Temptation in Australia winning $932,577
+Antwan Rice-McKinley Uh, by that time, Coach had already won Millionaire, so he would have still held the Australian game show record (along with Martin Flood).
Well, technically it's the biggest amount in prizes (by Australian game show standards) as cash wasn't part of the total that she won.
Tubewings I
Wow wow wow wow wow!!!! How lucky!!!
this mega showcase was relatively easy to order compared to the others that were won in terms of the least expensive to most.
thanks i'm going to watch it now this was the good old days of tpir in Australia of the 2000's and ones from the 1990's as well it brings back memories

"YOU WIN THEM BOTH!! *_YOU WIN BOTH SHOWCASES!!_* " - RIP Bob Barker
wasn't there also a guy who had it won but decided to walk with the $50,000? i ask because i'd like to see that episode and how the guy took it (assuming that they lit up the price of the last unrevealed prize to see what would have happened.)
i have to say, thank goodness she won the motorcycle earlier, (because had she not, she probably wouldn't have trusted Ben when it came to the price of the camping package in the showcase.)
and obviously had she not, she wouldn't have won.)
Ben was a great help in this,I think that lady was too excited to handle this on her own.
yes she does im watching the episode its probably been 10 years since i seen it but i don't mind
To think our version of TPiR went from THIS to giving away rejected items and shopping vouchers for BigW :(
Hello from America. Is that what the scandal behind that reboot was? I thought it was disappointing enough it was much lower budget.
Are we meant to know where you are when you refer to “ Our version”?
44:50 EPIC WIN!
why didn't they light up the price of the alfa romeo before she started ordering the prizes? were they afraid of someone who got that far into the showcase doing the math in their head? (why they would be i have no idea, i highly doubt ANYONE would be able to do that under that kind of pressure) i'm pretty good at math and i doubt that I would be able to do it.
meaning someone who got to the point where they offered $50k to walk away from the showcase.)
1-2-3 did we squeeze the right way??
Why no more than ten dollars and fifty cents in this version of the grocery game?
Larry Elmur tell a contestant he's buy 1 or 2 Milky bars?
She deserves it great win
bob coach fulton was the first million dollar on the old verison of who want's to be a millionaire back in 2003 i think and followed by martin flood he also won $1 million on millionare in Australia our one but this maybe 9 years old but you still get excited watching tpir episodes from Australia i remember watching this episode i got excited when she won the showcase i guess that day ben dark was her lucky charm
Coach's "Millionaire" win was actually later in 2005.
