British-German science-fiction television series, made by Portman Productions for the ITV network. Produced in 1975, and first broadcast in 1976.

There are elements of Space 1999 in the computers LOL, and a bit of Logan's Run in the outfits, and then we have Blake himself LOL subjegated by a woman again.
Never heard of this until this video was suggested. Was gobsmacked to see Gareth Thomas from Blakes 7 in it, and the start was very similar to Space 1999 including the explosion sounds. The background computer sounds were the same too.

Love the theme tune. The 70s had some great themes.
The car Evans drives is a bronze Ford Granada mark 1 and they were awesome cars too and anyone who owns a car like that or a car like Rudi drives they want to keep them and not be conned into selling them to opportunists who like to trick people into selling things that are precious to them for less money than the owner paid for the thing and then opportunists would sell the items for more money.

There are also pursuit ship references and a supreme commander.... Never heard of this either but used to love blakes 7 and Doctor Who maybe I was too young when this was on in the 70s?!!
I absolutely loved Star Maidens when it was on in 1976 a shame it took nearly 30 years to come out on dvd

I notice the yellow estate car Rudi drove in this episode, is a Volvo Estate 100 series and those cars were sturdy and lasted for years and years I wonder if the yellow Volvo in this episode was in reality Christain Quadflieg,s or whether it was hired for the series.

In Star Maidens there is no arch-enemy unlike later in Blakes Seven with Servalan as Blakes arch-enemy and Servalan been female was awesome

It's not a comedy, but it is British 1070's TV. The same generation that brought you "Zardoz" with Sean Connery in a thong.
this is prob the 2nd best show ever, after lexx, with babylon 5 in 3rd and then farscape.
