Never heard of this until this video was suggested. Was gobsmacked to see Gareth Thomas from Blakes 7 in it, and the start was very similar to Space 1999 including the explosion sounds. The background computer sounds were the same too.

I loved this, but hated the interruptions by the bloke, it felt so patronising when I could read fine! Plus I loved the story, and Renu Setna was great, he was definitely under used as an actor. As well as this series another which stuck with me was “The Changes”, remember that? I recall it was about an ancient force reacting to modern technology and electric pylons humming in a sinister way. Of course now “ The Message” is that pylons are all cuddly and necessary, and there are colouring books to teach kids to love them 😢

Literally the first scene is already terrible and cringy and I could see it perfectly fitting ""She-Hulk" or "Velma".

Footage of airplane nosediving into the ground in the beginning was used first in 1960 Village of the Damned. This was made in '64 but it has more of a mid-50's feel to it.

In the 1970's, we used to get the Christmas Radio Times ( the only time we got one !) For some reason (!) i used to find reading about what was on the radio a bit 'scary'. There would be a feature about a radio programme with some 'abstract' picture ( like something in a 1970's psychology magazine )illustrating it.
