Hello Tom!!! It's SO great to get your comment on this video!!! I'm so glad that you liked it, and hope that it's something that you will be able to learn on the piano!! I have an EPIC collaboration video of a Journey song coming out in about an hour, so I hope you'll be back to check it out! Thanks for being here and being a part of our Music Made Easy Community!!! You are appreciated!!!
Hi Molly!! First, I'm so sorry that it's taken me so many days to respond back to you. I usually try to reply back within a day to all my comments! Second, thank you for your kind comments. I am SO GLAD to have you here as one of my newest subscribers! Hopefully you'll take some time and check out the many, many videos that I have done in the past that are posted here. I think you will like them!! Finally where are you from? I am from Idaho USA....
Awesome!! So glad that you liked it, Colin! Tell me, where are you watching the channel from? I want to get to know where everyone lives that watches my channel. Also, thank you so much for the comments, the watches, and the 'thumbs ups' that you provide to the channel. It is appreciated more than I can say! It's what helps the channel to grow!
Oh wow! That's awesome!! You'll get a kick out of me doing an British accent in my video next week as part of explaining one of my pets names! LOL! Are you working in the Middle East? I'm so glad you still have time for watching Music Made Easy while you're there!!
Awesome!!! Thanks so much Terry for being part of the Music Made Easy Community and for going through the archives and watching/listening to some of the stuff I've done prior! I'm so glad you're loving it and actually playing the piano now!!!
Hi Milena! It's so great to meet you (virtually, anyway!!). I'm glad that this tutorial helped you out!! Did you enjoy it enough to check out some of the other stuff I have on the channel?? What did you think? Tell me more about your piano journey - how long have you been playing?
Thanks so much for this! I am a new subscriber and I love how you take a great song and break it down so we beginners can play it. I am taking lessons and learning the notes and theory but this, this feeds my need to play something real. Thank you so much again! I would like to make a request; I also am a lover of Journey and Steve Perry, do you think you'll ever do one on When You Love a Woman? My 67th birthday is coming up next month and I would love to be able to play this for my kids. You're doing something great here!
Thank you so much, Rose!!! That is SO awesome that you found my channel!! What you talked about is EXACTLY why I created Music Made Easy! I want people to be able to play real songs, real fast! I always reply back to comments, so leave me one on each and every video you watch. That way we can get to know each other...
Thank you so much, Jason! You are a GREAT pianist, so a compliment from you is a real compliment! Thanks for joining the Music Made Easy Community and being a part of all this! I'm thinking that in an upcoming video of mine, I should give YOUR CHANNEL a shoutout! (If that's ok with you) It will show them what they can aspire to be!
I'll do it! I'm a few weeks out on my video recordings, so although I'll do it in my next video I record, you won't see it until the beginning of November.
It's easy when you play an easy version of the song, but to play it like it's played in the original AND sing, it's not so easy. The Chorus Part, the second verse, and the blues part is quiet something to learn. Definitely advanced or intermediate beginner.
Oh wow!! Thank you SO much! I'm glad that you found the channel! What did you think of it overall? Worth subscribing and spending 10 minutes or so with me each week? 😉🎹🎶
That is so nice to hear!! Thank you so much!! I hope you get a chance to go back and watch the videos already on the channel, and a new video drops every Sunday at 12pm Mountain Time in the US. Where are you from?
Hi Riccardo! The Carpenters is an excellent suggestion! I'll look into something I can learn and arrange in an easy way for you and the rest of the hang here at Music Made Easy! Thanks for the comment!! 🎹👍
I'm so glad that you were checking for this week's tutorial right when it released! You're an awesome member of the Music Made Easy Community!! Thank you so much!!
Hey there!! Thanks for stopping by. Yes, I left the bridge out in order to keep the basic part of the song as simple as I could for people to learn. Sorry I didn't include it in this one.... Maybe I should make an updated version. I appreciate you stopping by Music Made Easy, and leaving a comment!! Thank you! 🎹👍
I've been working on this for a week now and I've got the first part, just need to speed it up a bit. But the chorus is stumping me, I can't seem to get my hand to stretch a full octave. How is this done with smaller hands??
With smaller hands, you can move your fingers to the very ends of the keys so that just the tip of your pinkie and thumb are hitting the keys. OR, you don't have to play octaves and you can just play the lower note!! 🎹👍
@@BenBennett10 Thanks Ben, I've already tried the first suggestion with not so great results so I'm going to try the other one, I'll let you know how it goes.
Perfect! Do let me know how it goes. I am interested in your progression with the piano! And, keep practicing at stretching your fingers to an octave. It IS possible for those with smaller hands, but it takes some experimentation to find what works best for you! 🎹👍
It’s the second and third chords on the right hand. I always mess those up by hitting the wrong notes or playing the chords more than I need to. Still this is a great video and I appreciate the reply 👍
Ah! So the G chord coming off if the F Chord and then the Inverted C chord. Right? Do you know inversions? Me and you COULD just use standard chords in those spots and it might make it easier for you. I also have a video that really explains inversions well that might help you. I know you can do this, Superman!!!! 🎹👍
Hi Lauri! I'm sorry if there is a part missing that you're struggling with. Inside that tutorial quite a while back.... Let me listen to a recording of the song and see what is missing in the tutorial. I believe all the chords and "pieces" are there to play that part as well, I might not have talked through it, but the music is very much the same throughout the song . Let me know how I can help. 👍🎹
I tried this today! Amazing how simple it is when you have it shown to you. Thank you.
