INGREDIENTS: • 3 large eggs • 1 cup buttermilk • 1 cup whole milk • 1 1/2 cups (225 grams) yellow cornmeal • 1 1/2 cups (191 grams) all-purpose flour • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda • 1 teaspoon fine salt • 1 tablespoon baking powder • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar or honey • 3 tablespoons (43 grams) unsalted butter, melted • 1 cup (113 grams) grated Simple Truth Cheddar Cheese
Yes! There's no industry standard for salted butter, one brand could have 2x the amount of salt as another. Using unsalted butter gives you the control over how much salt is in your recipe. Plus unsalted is usually fresher since salt acts as a preservative!
