I couldn't agree more. I mean imagine a new evolve game in 2023. Updated. All of the characters and new ones too. Maybe even some cool new additions since it has been forever since this game came out. It would be a hit.

I wish it was true, sadly I think the majority of players actually don't really like hardcore pvp, or games that requires too much cooperation, despite what players may say.
The devs did not know how to balance cheesy strats and also it was a lot of back and forth between metas (back when i played stage 2 meteor goliath spawn camping start was a viable strat although they did balance it out). Another thing was the super hardcore push to make this game an "e sports" game which turned some people off (I can never see a similar game Dead by Daylight fill stadiums with crowds). And the other obvious one was the horrednous micro transactions for skins and stuff which i think was the final nail in the coffin for it even after it went FTP which also pissed people off who bought the game initially and I dont blame em. Crowbcat has a video about it ( ruclips.net/video/7M4RwGwQslM/видео.html ) which i would recommend watching.

I saw people saying that you had to pay for every single character and monster, weapons etc. Didn't help that the publisher was often bragging about how "this game is going to have more paid dlc than any game ever" as if people were going to be excited for that.
A popular sentiment i saw was that because of its asymmetrical balance, a single underperforming hunter could entirely doom a team making early balance very one sided unless you played with four friends
The sense of scale on both sides is awesome tbh. You really are fighting gnats as the monster and you really are fighting a towering monster as the hunters.
I remember when this game was announced I lost my shit and wanted to play it so bad. But when it came out it was a mess and yet still after all these years I kept thinking about it. Good to see it still around.

I’ve always been terrified at wraith especially in legacy evolve. She’s so stealthy and one time I got jumpscared when she abducted me out of nowhere with her abduction ability.
btw. If you dont have your perk unlocked and buy it before the game, the game uses a perk you already have. Atleast thats how it is on PC, tried it with the poison ammo.
@@uhemi09 yep, you need to unlock it by leveling up hunters or monsters first. Dunno if the levels on the perk function tho. It's the same thing as you can buy a skin and use it but it wont be on you in game, but if you had it before the servers ended you can use them.
I think Evolve where DbD succeeded. The power role is too strong and the 4 man team is too complicated. Interactions with the monster aren't always fun and are too rare. It's too easy to hunt the monster all game and then get crushed in a single encounter. Which is a shame.
That’s not the case at all in stage 2. If you are hunting the monster all game and haven’t gotten a single dome encounter then the problem isn’t with the game, it’s with your team lol. Just do a better job at tracking the monster. It’s easy to win against the monster if you have a great squad of hunters and it’s easy to win as monster if you are against a bad squad of hunters. Now when they are both good, that’s when it gets interesting. Stage 2 is faster paced and there WILL be a dome encounter at least once because the maps feel smaller and the game overall feels faster paced for instant action.

I don’t need to see someone’s video to decide if I like the game or not. Been playing since release and I love it. If you’re having trouble tracking the monster and are running around the map too much without getting a dome then that’s on you because I’ve played multiple times with people and they find me at stage 1. But then again, this is stage 2 so it’s faster paced and instant action. Legacy is slower paced and you may get to stage 2 without getting domed once. Game is crap to you because you do a poor job at tracking the monster. “Most times hunters win instead of monster”, are hunters not supposed to win? A great squad of hunters will win without a doubt against a bad monster. A great monster against a bad squad of hunters will win as well. It all depends on who’s playing.
If you don't like something doesn't mean its ass to the rest of the world. And you having a bad experience doesn't mean the rest of the world experiences the same thing as bad.
The game is called Evolve. As the monster, you are supposed to run and eat to evolve and get stronger, then fight 1v4. This game was so much fun, you obviously could not adapt to the learning curve of the game and just gave up.

@@globalelite3042 depends on what position the hunter is. If it's an underperforming trapper then you're in a bad spot.

Both are great! Bucket’s UAV is so handy. It’s a shame it isn’t in Stage 2 but his new ability is good too.

Hmmm that could explain a lot of things. Like for example, I noticed in some matches I eat really fast and in other matches, I eat normally.

Unfortunately they stopped updating evolve on console years ago and expanded only PC into "stage 2". It changed a lot of things.

Savage is the name of the skin, and this is Stage 2 not Legacy Evolve. Stage 2 is only on PC.

It's not purchasable through the steam store anymore but, you can still get a game key for it. The devs gave them a server as well.
