I read this story about a dude who got some friends together, hid his license plate, wore some masks and got some pellet guns. Then they drove by a shady used car dealer who scammed the community a lot and busted every single window and damaged every windshield. Without even getting out the car. They hit every car on the lot. Dude barely had 5 cars insured and his insurance dropped him and didn’t cover majority of the damages and he went out of business 😭😂😂😂😂😂 this dude deserves that

My cycling club had that happen with a kit order where the guy was using money to float other stuff. Once we found out he got hit with a flood of chargebacks he was scared of losing the ability to take credit cards so he refunded everyone’s money. Worked a lot better than waiting for him to declare bankruptcy.

This is why you put deposits on credit cards and get receipts for things so you can dispute them later. Never give someone cash until after a service has been rendered.....this should be common sense but apparently not.

The most effective action when dealing with "tough guy" business owners like this is to pursue legal recourse through lawsuits. This business owner is probably involved in money laundering activities connected to other enterprises.
Pulling up on a mufuka’s house around the time the wife, and kids get home is far more effective.

It's important to Google and other review sites, because good reviews with pictures and details really help and will make people go elsewhere. Honest vendors and business may charge more but if they deliver than that is what is important. True reviews can be faked, but when enough people take the time to give their opinions and comments online, no business like this can survive.
If you look at this dudes business on Google maps, there’s brand new 5 star reviews being posted with fake Google accounts, I’m not kidding, and literally the owner is responding to each and every review to make it look legit, he’s such a fraud bro!

I bought a car from a guy the same nationality as Sam paid 3200 cash and for a 19 year old working at McDonald's that was a lot of money. Car was a complete lemon. A good question is why don't these people check out customer reviews before they pay their deposit and give that company their businesses. It's one of the common senses called due diligence.
of course they should have..but you're assuming his customer base knows about review sites & apps. believe it or not, there are still millions of people who don't live on the internet & who are unaware of such things.

A bad review sometimes results in the auto shop's owner posting your street address - with map - and phone number - on a Craigslist ad for free pygmy goats (with photos downloaded from elsewhere) simply because you had the audacity to complain about the shop's mechanic having "car problems" every single time we had an appointment for auto repair work (four separate times) and you hanging up on her when she complained to you over the phone about the 4th time.
So there is a definite social pressure now to NOT leave bad reviews, because if they lack the ethics and morals to be an honest business, they likely lack the ethics and morals to be a rational human being.
The day this incident happened I went through all their Google reviews. A handful of glowing, over-the-top, exclamation-point-laden reviews, and a few about the cars they purchased being poorly-rehabbed auction cars with mismatching VIN numbers, and tons of serious post-sale problems not being covered under warranty. My favorite was a review from a guy that bought a used Land Rover that, within ten days and while still under state-mandated warranty, required more repairs than the Land Rover was worth (bent frame beyond allowable tolerances, engine, transmission, and transfer case failures, pretty much everything mechanical was shot and wiring damage was poorly-repaired) but that review has since been deleted.
My mother's review, where the owner responded that we had never had our vehicles worked on there, and then later in the same comment, described the "deal" he "cut" me when he replaced the wrong wheel bearing on my truck and "ate" the cost of the labor for the PROPER work, forcing me to pay for the additional part, has also been memory-holed... The only reviews remaining are 4-star and 5-star now.
The TL;DR is you can't always trust reviews. Word-of-mouth recommendations are still the best manner of determining worthiness.

Go on his google reviews right now. It has a lot of 5star reviews from bots that drown out the real ones and skew the results. And when the previous names get bogged down by bad reviews, he changes the name and business on google, floods the page with good reviews, and the cycle continues

👨💼🏬 ~ This is what’s wrong with corporations and LLC legal protection. It is very easy to set up businesses in a way that makes them “judgment proof” which means no matter how much you sue them they never actually have money that stays in their bank account or any assets. So the lawsuit never actually goes anywhere. You set up the main company to handle the customers, and the main company rents all the cars from a second company. That way when the first company has sued it never has any assets for people to go after. And the main company never keeps money in the bank account, they always instantly transfer any money out that way you can’t garnish their bank account either.
And another issue that’s wrong about companies and LLCs is you can’t sue the owner of an LLC. Because the owner is protected. There are some situations where you can get around that and you can sue the owner, but it’s extremely difficult. But there’s kind of ways around that as well.
And the other problem is you can easily shut down one business and start up another front business if the heat gets too much. That’s why government regulation is necessary, but there’s not enough regulations for crooks like this.
