Excellent presentation! Thanks for sharing. The Q Grinding Recommendation card shown in your video is very helpful...1ZPresso does not included the Turkish and Espresso settings on the latest reference chart for the Q grinder.
Interestingly, 1zpresso has since removed Turkish & Espresso settings from the Q Grind Settings Reference chart that appears in this video. The 3 other categories/ranges still match.
Hello, thanks for the video . But i did not understand the “1 digit” bit . Why 3 clicks ? So if i am doing 22 does that mean 2 full rounds and 6 clicks ? Please advice

hey so this was helpful. one question. when I first unscrewed it the little spiral came out and I did not notice which side was up and down. it looks almost these same but not completely. second question - when u put in the burr and then there is another piece yours seemed to push down and stay down where as mine is up so I have to manage to push it down and put the top bit that rotates. then 3rd question to u screw it on tight until it stops moving? can I possibly damage it somehow?
1. I think the spiral in Q2 doesn't have direction. Both directions work in Q2. 2. I hold the top first and the entire time, so the central stick won't rotate. Then I put the burr and rotate it to make ○■○. Then I put the little piece, which will fit the shape I did. 3.Then don't use too much strength 😆 Use enough strength to screw it, to make a click. You will know where's the end. Enjoy your coffee ☕😊
This answer varies from people.😂 I used to do basic cleaning every time and thoroughly cleaning (disassemble grinder to clean) once a week. One day I found that with only residue at grinder burr, it still attracted ants.😩They didn't crawl in the grinder, just adventured my room. So it took me a while to realize they came for the coffee residue. I think some beans tend to attract ants, some don't, but I wouldn't risk again. From then on, I clean thoroughly every time after drinking coffee or at least before bed. If you live in a hot and damp area(high humidity all the time) , I suggest you clean thoroughly more often. Since warm to hot temperature and high humidity are good environment for germs and molds to live and grow. And those bean residue is nutritious to them. If you live in dry environment, say humidity under 60%RH, it's okay to clean it thoroughly once couple weeks. But the coffee bean oil from the residue oxidize as time goes on. It generates odd smell. You don't want that happened to interfere your next cup of coffee. So clean it once you have time. It only takes less than 6 minutes and is kind of soothing.☺️ And don't forget to clean it thoroughly before you change another bag of beans. You don't want the flavor got interfered by the last one. Enjoy your coffee.😊 *Basic cleaning: use soft brush and bulb blower (optional) dust out the residue powder, tap grinder to make the powder fall out of it. *Thoroughly cleaning: use soft brush, stiff brush( or tooth brush) to clean the disassembled parts of grinder, especially grinder burr.
Yes, you can say that. Because there are 3 clicks between 2 numbers. 54 is a lot to count😁 I will go turn a circle then turn 8 digits.😉 BTW, the start number doesn't have to be 0, and doesn't have to be same number every time.
Once it's set, it's good for every other grind. 🙂 You have to do this every time after you clean your grinder thoroughly(means you disassemble the grinder to clean the grinder burr, then reassemble it). I suggest you clean your grinder more often if you live in a high humidity environment. The residue in the grinder with high humidity is nutritious to bacteria and mold.😱😱😱 Enjoy your coffee. 🙂
@@jesslee3146 Exactly, I've been testing, but even so, the recommended card settings are not that accurate (for my taste). I will get the Q2 soon so I can compare them better. Cheers.
Who knew a video without all the talking would be the most useful? This makes so much more sense than the instructions included, thank you!
I found the instructions that came with this grinder baffling. Thanks so much for a simple, clear explanation.
THANK YOU. The manual instructions were so confusing for brand new beginner. 1zpresso should pay you for this video.
This was my first coffee grinder and I had no idea what I was doing, the video really helped me out. Thanks!
Just got this and didn't know how to set it. They kept saying it's 30 clicks but that not correct. Your video cleared things up. Thanks

The video is so cute with the post-it. I enjoyed watching!

Either it needs too much strength to grind such fine powder for espresso or it still can't reach the very fine powder for some enthusiasts. I guess.

How does this compare to the Timemore nano or other small grinders? Great video!

Hello can we make espresso coffee with this machine thank you
Does 18 mean 1 full round and 8*3= 24 clicks ?
Yes. Or you could take 2 full round then back 2*3=6 clicks.
Thank you~
Will the Q2 (5-core) grind well for the picopresso, if so both are tiny so will be a great combination.
I never use picopresso, but I've seen people use 1Z K-plus with picopresso 😀

So 1 digit is equal.to 3 clicks? So if I wanted 24 I would do 2 full rotations and then 12 clicks,?

Can I grind an espresso with it? I have it but I don’t know how to have a fine grinding.
0:13 I see recommended range for espresso is 6 digits to 10 digits (=1full circle). You could give it a try. More digits means particle size bigger.
Jess Lee Thank you so much, I will try it .
Does it work fine with espresso
It can grind the beans to small particle size that espresso needs.

How many clicks range for espresso from zero
6 to 10 😀
@@jesslee3146
I just tried 11 clicks but it was so fine , I know its depends to beans but I have knows now the range
Works for Jx?
It looks like Jx has the same adjustment system. But you should check the recommended number for your coffee on the information card with the product.
@@jesslee3146 Exactly, I've been testing, but even so, the recommended card settings are not that accurate (for my taste). I will get the Q2 soon so I can compare them better. Cheers.
Is 21 for v60 ?
It's up to you.🙂 I currently like 20 and 2 clicks.
You did 63 clicks.
Yes
for 21 I understand but for 08 or 09 how I do can u tell me plz
you simply turn the knob to the right 8 or 9 digits from the starting point (as far right as it will go)
08 mean 8 click or what
10 means 1 full circle=10 digits=30 clicks. So 08 means 8 digits=8*3=24 clicks.
For example, if you start at the number "2", you count 8 numbers and stop at the number "4". Or you just count 24 clicks, you can get the same result.
@@jesslee3146 good and 14 its mean one circle then 4 digit = 4×3=12 clicks
