- A poem written by Jeff Buckley.
from Live at Sin-é (Legacy Edition), a 2003 live double album by Jeff Buckley. It is the extended version of Buckley's 1993 EP Live at Sin-é.
I was SO LUCKY to have BEEN THERE for this! Actually, it's my giant head that is in the way for so much of it on the left. I'm so sorry I was blocking the camera so much, but so grateful to have this video treasure of being literally in the same space as him. I also met him this night and he was incredible, it was truly like meeting the sun, he radiated that much warmth ☀ And of course the poem is amazing and his reading most of all 💖
“Full bodied, starry eyed, audacious, supernatural and glorified”
Anyone here in the new 2020?
Zero dislikes. This is the man who couldn’t make an enemy if he tried.
I've always loved this ❤Even though Jeff writes "You, my love..." I know all those allowances if you will, are his own wishes and prayers. It's what he wanted from people relevant to his own life. The freedom to be himself, warts and all. Just the ability to fail in every endeavor and still be loved...isn't that what we all want? To not live in fear of our own authenticity? If only... When you're abandoned as a child, you always feel it was your fault. That you weren't good enough, smart enough, pretty enough, skinny enough, special enough, important enough. A child can't process all those feelings left behind. They don't have the tools or the capability to rationalize that maybe the problem is with the person who left. It can haunt you your entire life and it's relentless. Anyway, (ugh, cliche) I digress. Having lived it myself, I get it. Always worrying the "real you" might send them packing. Always striving for perfection, because who wouldn't love that? It's exhausting. Like a dog chasing its tail...until it dies. And finds freedom. The End.
"You my love, are allowed to rot and to die and to live again, more alive"
I've never heard more beautifully spoken words of love
the ideal man
God is that you
Unfathomable loss
"You, my love, are allowed to have time"
First of Jan 2022 - keeping this prayer close at mind and closer in heart.
This speaks to my soul and is no doubt one of the most beautiful things I have ever read/heard. Every inch of me misses him every day.
A Beautiful voice, so clear are your words, May everyone hear them over and over again...
An angel
He had such a beautiful soul ❤
one of the first and only videos i've watched with 0 dislikes !
Sometimes, these beautiful words are so uplifting and a balm to my heart that I come here to watch and listen as the need arises, has been more often over the last 15 months than ever before...
