Portland city needs to hire Eric and make an attraction destination in Portland with all his knowledge and plans, can you imagine this but on a grand scale. Eric if you read this you created something amazing kudos to you for doing such an amazing cozy place.
Ahhhhh!!! I used to work for him and was privileged to see the beginnings back in 2010. So glad to see it now! ❤❤ “Hey, wanna see my pictures of my garden?”, after a coaching. Great to see the garden and him happy!🎉
What makes this so precious is, in many places, like in Los Angeles where I live, this sort of structure would not be allowed or would be impossibly expensive to build given permits, codes, etc. Its so important that creativity and individuality like this is nurtured and encouraged. We all need to see things like this to know what is possible and to be reminded the world doesnt need to be a sea of generic, bleak, beige boxes.
What an amazing greenhouse! So stunning. I would love something like that, and would spend all my time in it with my plants. Fantastic job Mr. Peterson!
this is absolutely incredible, how talented he is and that folly/greenhouse is UNREAL! One of the most beautiful and unique gardens I have ever seen. Wow!
This is an amazing garden, from the hardscape to the softscape. You can tell the love and hard work that go into each detail, from the greenhouse to how the plants are arranged! I loved every moment of it, and will rewatch! Thank you for sharing Eric’s garden with us!
I know, quite the labor of love! I am flabbergasted when I think about the hours he has poured into this garden. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching and being a fan. :)
@@overthefencetours you’re welcome, it’s my pleasure! Thank you for producing your content! I know it must NOT be easy for you, as well, being a new mom and finding gardens/gardeners to showcase. We really appreciate it💜
Very cool yard. Very inspiring. Maybe one day I’ll add a greenhouse to my garden. For now I’m just building my landscape, growing food, and planting fruit trees. Thanks for sharing.
I’m curious about the amount of weeks it takes to move everything to the greenhouse. If I started moving things to the greenhouse in December it would probably June before I finished; LOL. Great garden and share - THX
This is amazing! I’m curious about several plants Eric mentioned as being zone 9 plants so he takes them in. Parts of inner Portland have been reclassified as zone 9a. I’m on the southern Oregon coast in a solid 9a, maybe 9b. I wonder if Eric would leave some of those zone 9 plants outside or is it too big a risk? The threat of ice storms are scary. Love all the hummingbird sounds.
Great question! From Eric “While the overall temperature during the winter has increased on average, climate change has increased the likelihood of extreme storms. I would not have time to react with such a huge collection it is easier to just plan ahead as if an ice storm or two is going to hit every winter so I don’t loose any hard to find plants”
hi, great question! it took him 3 years. He focused on making the stained glass in the winters and the building itself in the summers. It's unbelievable.
Thank you for the tour, I have killed many cactus & rare cacti here in the NW, so this was informative and a beautiful garden tour. I will be following Eric on IG. JD
Mind Blowin beautiful 🌴🌿🌵 Thank you Eric. Bravo!
I don’t think Mr. Peterson knows just how talented he is to build a greenhouse like that, making so much of the structure by hand. Amazing!

Inspiring. It has changed so much since I visited. The newest thing at that time I think was the fireplace.
Thanks for sharing!
So inspiring
It would be a dream to come photograph this place!!! I am in Portland also.
What a treat, I live in the SE Woodstock neighborhood, love this!

amazing, i love growing edible plants. so glad you are finding your gardening bliss :)
@@overthefencetours Thank You., Maybe one day I'll invite you over once this place stands out. Appreciate what you do. All my best.
Fantastic!!!
I’m from Tasmania, love the glass house
I love that you called it the glass house instead of in greenhouse sounds more descriptive of this beautiful place.
Beautiful copihue
Ariocarpus next please. Thanks for interesting videos. Terry
I hadn't heard of that genus - they look so cool! hope to catch them in a future garden tour!
I’m curious about the amount of weeks it takes to move everything to the greenhouse. If I started moving things to the greenhouse in December it would probably June before I finished; LOL. Great garden and share - THX
The curly things are so cute... ouch! 💚
How does he keep everything so nice? We live in Portland and our stuff gets easily ruined by the weather. January's ice storm was an the worst.
thats the back-breaking part haha. he moves most of those plants into the greenhouse every fall :O

@@overthefencetours Great answer! Thanks
I’ve heard it called the “death bloom” when the plant blooms and then dies.
Come I come see the garden?
You’ll have to reach out to Eric on his Instagram for that :) I shared his name at the end of the video
Did he say how long it took to build the greenhouse?
hi, great question! it took him 3 years. He focused on making the stained glass in the winters and the building itself in the summers. It's unbelievable.
We have so many questions 😂
haha well please let me know if you'd like me to pass any questions along to him, I might be able to get the answers....
great place. i bet no kids
hahaha indeed
Zonal denial style

Same :( I’ll be bringing my cacti outside during the summers now to test his theory that they are happier outside.
