I think Judd hit the nail on the head. If Twins fans can’t watch the team on TV they are not going to support this team. The media missteps by the Twins ownership has been epically bad
That was the last straw, remember the Pohlad's promised a streaming service. The fact is unless the pohlad's put out a winning product and viewing access, well the Twins organization in MN is probably done much like the north stars.
@@nicktaylor1015it would be the first steps for the Twins to leave MN, if I was a city thinking about building a new stadium for their team I would be intently watching.
The Twins have no hope with Baldelli and Falvey. I am frankly stunned that both of them still have jobs, and how they have avoided the scrutiny from the fanbase. Reusse said it right on this podcast: "you won't solve this with an extra $20 million in payroll" - with Baldelli and Falvey in charge, only frustration awaits Twins fans
Agree 💯 as I live in Detriot area, but grew up in Minnesota and still Twins fan. Rocco a joke vs. Hinch which is blatantly obvious when you watch both teams.
The problem is that Byron Buxton doesn't want to play unless he feels 100%. And the second problem is Carlos Correa was signed to an expensive long term deal after he failed a physical with the Mets and Giants.
I’d like you guys thoughts on the Twins salary situation compared to the Wild. Obviously the salary caps are totally different in the NHL and MLB but the Twins have too much money tied in longer term contracts with Buxton and Correa and the Wild had the two horrible long term contracts with Parise and Sutter that tied their hands for years. I know I’m kind of comparing apples to oranges but both situations have been detrimental to their respective teams
"The wild" ownership invests in their team, ensuring TV viewership with fans having access to the players including a good drafting department. Honestly, the Twins don't do any of these things, the fact "the wild" ownership is able to do that with boundaries put on them by their league while pohlad's who have no ceiling can't tell's the difference in leadership and belief about their fans.
@@benjames4502 I agree. I’ve actually been fairly pleased how they have, for the most part, built a competitive and entertaining team given their restraints from those two terrible contracts. I would disagree on one point. I think the Twins have drafted pretty well but they’ve lacked in their ability to build a winning team. It takes more than a good farm system to achieve success
@@benjames4502 that was what I was trying to say although obviously not too well. The best teams not only develop young talent but are able to use them as trade assets to acquire talent that can build a competitive team. The Twins haven’t done that. The majority of the trades Falvey has made IMO have done little to improve the team. He’s had some success but he’s had a lot of failures. There are several players who looked good at one point that have failed to progress. I’m not sure what the problem is but you sure need to question the coaching staff.
On that Cousins interception-it was 4th and 15 and technically by throwing the interception he helped put the Bucs out of field goal range. So not really a stupid decision by him. The coaches maybe, for going for it
Why can't we rebuild the front office first and try to get it right this time. Thad's career with the Twins cannot be misunderestimated. His success is due to his vocabulary, gotta like that! The new Dennis Miller.
Reusse wanting to blow everything up is so stupid. The older he gets the less tuned in he seems to be with the major sports. He should stick to covering the MIAC
This is an awful take. Most of this roster is super young. You can complain about them not spending money, or Rocco’s tactics or they’re midseason adjustments but starting over now would be like restarting a game of monopoly three turns in when you already got one of the green properties
Let's face it, Reusse and the boys don't have the formula for winning a WS. I hate to admit it, but neither do I! By the time it's all over, 28 other teams will be scratching their heads and wondering what went wrong.

@@slefputsthe pohlad's run the Twins organization to maximize profit at all costs, baseball is a monopoly and every team is profitable as baseball has no competition.

they could've hired terry francona but instead are running it back and only making these around the margins minor changes. the organization is clueless and needs a culture change.
Julien has no value and isn't arbitration eligible, trade kirilloff, I agree with the rest. Unfortunately that only drops team payroll 15 million, so after arbitration of the rest of the players the twins payroll will be around 115 million.
