Ive been to India and purchased a bike and ridden across it. You think you’re doing something unique. You wouldn’t believe how many middle age white blokes are doing the same thing. To the locals he’s just another punter looking for a bike. He knows what he wants though. That’s the best advice i can give anyone looking to do this. Go searching as if you were shopping locally. Take your time.

I love how guy can appreciate the simple cloth ironing job and be genuinely impressed.
If any of you have had to do their own ironing then you too would recognise a good bit of ironing. Maybe Guy has had to do his own at some time.
I want to somehow connect with Guy and bow down to him with utmost respect for his excellence in riding and representing the greatest community of riders around the world. My dad was an avid rider and he did Pune to Kashmir on 1 Jawa and 1 Yezdi with 2 of his friends back in 1987, just few months before I was born. Unfortunately he passed away on his motorbike in 2002 and I always wished that I could take him to see Isle of Man TT. If opportunity comes to my life I am going to visit Isle of Man TT in this lifetime and bow down to the truest and most skillful of riders and crews as a true respect to my late father.

Knowledge of people like Guy Martin, Nicky Hayden, Marc Marquez, Travis Pastrana, Evil Kenievel, etc is synonymous with love for motorcycles irrespective of your nationality.
In our country, the so called celebs who come to mind when we think motoecyles are John Abraham, Dhoni, Salman khan etc, which is bullshit.

a lot of shows that air on tv don't get the music cleared for web, so they have to remove/replace it for web versions, and the mix suffers because someone just slaps it on.

He's under a bit of stress at the moment. He is in trouble with the UK Driving licence authorities (DVLA) and has apperared in court accused of using a fake driving licence.

One of my bucket list is to meet him. People in this video doesn’t really recognise who he is... I been long time fan of his TT race... it’s a proud moment he visits to India ... It’s bad TT racers are barely recognised when compared to MotoGP racers

2:26 WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DOG! Reminds me of my doggo - same eyes, same face, same shy demeanor. RIP. I really hope I get to see him one day, just to see his "smile" again... Him and my girl. He brought sunshine to my life. I've lost many loved ones in life, but my doggo's were always there for me. Now i've got a kitten but regardless of your animals, they love you and they're unconditional and I really hope Jesus Christ is able to see my heart despite my fuckups and I really hope to see my loved ones again one day, animals and all. Guy's the salt of the earth and a man I truly look up to. Just a normal, non - messed up person with a heart of gold. Thanks for the memories and for posting this.
I got the opportunity to watch the TT race in 2017 and meet a lot of racers including McGuinness, Hutchy, Bruce and Guy. All humble and down to earth individuals. A lot of people I met on the island were surprised to know that we follow the TT races here in India :) Watching the TT race for the first time is an incredible experience, nothing comes close to it!
At the end of this series he put the bike in a garage in India and said he was going to ride it back to the UK one day, I would love to see this as a series..
And he see a dog, " HELLO M8 " Priceless :)

@@genericdweeb2960 , I know because I rented a Bullet from Lali and it had 64,000 kms on the clock but was in tip-top condition. Lali's mechanic went through the bike with me double checking everything, and I set off on a four-week tour with spare parts and tools provided in my cases. If you have ever ridden in India then you know the beating those bikes take. The bike didn't let me down once.

Did he give you the original registration papers,....Selling it without these is a nightmare. Actually buying an Enfield is also a nightmare, better of with a Bajaj, Avenger....much smoother and much more reliable, but I guess you will work that out as you go...Enjoy.

What lower spec... Less electronics to go wrong? It is build the old way and it producing only 26 horse power, but that's the whole idea here. Now if you are talking about corrosion resistance and equipment on a modern bike...The UK spec bikes are always inferior to the Japanese spec ones. As an example, one of my bikes is a 1992 Suzuki Bandit 400 (Japanese import). It has dual front discs, stainless steel exhaust, no signs of rust, and still looks like new. The UK spec ones had single front disc, painted steel exhaust, and they were rusting like an old Italian car.
Indian labour and raw materials are cheap. That's how the end product is cheap too.

Having seen the difference between Japanese and British mass produced vehicles, I very much doubt Indian made ones can be much worse.

No, I compare apples with apples. These are not modern bikes. These are outdated British models, produced in India under license. Defects are more common on these carbureted engines... An unnoticeable manifold leak can easily cause engine seizure.

I'm not familiar with the 535's fuel system... but this 3:01 is a carburetor.
All Royal Enfield bikes are produced under license, although the Royal Enfield brand itself is also owned by Indian company now. The engines look identical and produce the same power as the original, so I don't see where you are getting the idea of them being a "totally new" design.
