Reality is that a sidewalk like this is the city's domain and residents should go to their council to demand better from them. The city should be contracting people like Fill and paying them with the tax that all residents surely have to give up. When I see a place like this I think to myself, what the hell are these guys spending our money on? Why bother paying it at all if this is the service we can expect? After traveling a lot I can really say that this is an American problem, and while Fill is a good guy, the state of things has nothing to do with the average person not "stepping up" to be more like Fill. Don't blame it on the average guy just trying to put bread on the table.

Meanwhile in Europe we have housing and commercial zones combines, WAY less parking lots, better light rail, everything is closer, more people live in the same area, pay taxes and the local authorities in general can make sure everything is nicer and well kept (this is of course in general, there are pretty american areas and shabby european ones, but on average america is turning into a state of neglect

If its bad I will metal rake, and a sickle bar trimmer, first - then scrape. I find this faster as the dirt and grass that is on the sidewalk and curb area then has a place to go. I took a trimmer and removed the line feed and replaced it with a wire cup brush (4" diameter) that was made for a grinder and attached it to the trimmer to remove grass from the cracks. This saves me time and effort, my blower does not come out until the job is almost complete. Get your self a few different sized scrapers and give it a try... it will save you time. It’s amazing how much a (not so) simple job, like cleaning up a sidewalk can help an entire community!! It would be nice if the neighbors would join you in cleaning up and mowing the green space, which could be repurposed into a park. Looking forward to your next video!

That sidewalk looks soooo much better. Good thing there are citizens like you to make your city look well kept. The "city" doesn't take care their property like they used too, even though they are paid through the taxes we all pay 24/7/365. Thank you for all you do! 😊

It’s amazing the work you put in to clear all these footpaths (sidewalks), I notice that a lot of them are in poor condition (the actual path). Don’t your city councils maintain them, they are a hazard and a potential liability as an injury could end up with the person sueing the city. Thank you Fill, you do exemplary work, Blessing to you from Australia 🇦🇺
