The stationery organization struggle is real and it’s an ongoing battle. I have found for me that using a little crate or bin that doesn’t have a lid easiest for remembering to use ephemera. Because it is open and sits on my desk I can see it and it is easy to dig through. It isn’t a perfect system but it helps.
Some ideas that have worked for me in using up ephemera: Favorites go in my journal. Separate all the ones that make you super excited and you don’t see yourself getting rid of Pass ur non favorites to pen pals and do giveaways Pre decorate envelopes and stationery so they are already ready to go Assess patterns to see which ones you’re usually not into and which ones you usually are more likely to use Get blank greeting card or post card and stick a sticker in front Remember that this stuff expires the adhesive won’t work and there will be more. You can also resell bundles . Ppl will buy
I usually do all of the things you mentioned. Or most of them, I think I'm feeling so overwhelmed right now because I did not spend as much time with my journals and stuff this year as in previous years. So I just did the "minimum" - after this video, I spend a while sorting and destashing, and it does feel much better.
@ don’t be so hard on yourself you have a whole new year to look forward to and have fun with your stash . Have fun with it and maybe do a bit here and there . Schedule it but don’t beat urself up
You will have so much more room in that new book that I think you'll definitely be able to use more of it! I have a lot of ephemera too, but I don't really worry about it. I cut all my PET tape and Printables and stick them in sticker release books immediately so I can see them or I'll forget I have them. I have recently started to make mini sticker release books that I'll be sending with my happy mail so I don't have to worry about having peeled them.
That is a great idea - maybe I need to take that into consideration. I used to collect empty sticker sheets for that reason, to be able to send stickers from sticker books.
I had grand plans of organizing on my two weeks off but I haven’t Ben figured out how to use my 2025 planners yet, much less set them up. I, reading books with actual paper pages and cleaning here and there. Whatever I get done is a bonus considering the year I’ve had. I’m just going to be okay with all of it and keep resting.
I'm currently in revamping mode and it relaxes me and makes me feel so much better. But if your body needs something else, then you don't organize this week.
“Less is more”. Happy new year 2025🎉🎊🥂
