    Great review. I am trying to decide between the Mercury, Drive and Union Atlas. 99% of my riding is high speed groomers. Control is my top priority. Thoughts on which way to go?

      Like I say in the review it really depends on the stiffness of your boots sole. If it isn't that stiff go Atlas. Atlas massively better adjustability too. If your boots are stiff go with the Mercury. It felt a little more responsive and supportive.

    I really appreciate all your great reviews. I just bought a pair Mercurys and will be getting new vans boots next. I assume my current insano and thraxis boots won’t feel the transfer bar but would like to verify that the verse and infuse have thick enough soles as well. Thanks.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад

      Many thanks! Yeah your Insano and Thraxis should be good but the Vans have a very thin sole over the front part of the foot to give you more board feel. Check my reviews of those. You might feel it with Vans.

    The ankle straps on the jones mercury are one of my favorite straps I’ve ever used, soooooo quick and easy to get in/out of. Do you happen to know of any other bindings that have a comparable strap to that?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад +1

      We really like those straps too. I personally think Flux has exceptional ankle straps but they are the opposite in terms of dampness and shock absorption. They are very responsive though. Union has them with the Atlas line. Now 2024 is going to have some straps like Jones as well. Burton has some very comfortable ankle straps too.

    Just picked up Jones Meteorite bindings with Jones Frontier board. Would that set work for a beginner/intermediate? Or should I just go with Union Atlas?

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  7 месяцев назад

      Yeah as long as the soles of your boots are stiff and not soft. Check 6:35 to see if you should stay away from NOW/Jones bindings. If your boots are soft go with the Force or Force classic. Also great choice on the Frontier. It's a pretty stiff board but it is forgiving and will be a great board from beginner to expert.

    What do you think between the '23 Drives and the '23 Union Atlas? I have the '23 Kazu and just got the MegaDeath. Boots are 32 TM2. Appreciate the advice!

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад

      Union Atlas with the TM2's because of the soft soles. Check 6:34 - Gas Pedal Issue to learn more.

    Hi, great review.
    What size is better for a US11.5 Vans Implant Pro/Hi-Standard Pro(super small footprint) boots?
    What is a total length of footpillow in size M and L? Can you measure it?
    Cheers

      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад

      Thanks! Large is the right size for 11.5's hands down. Don't get the medium.

    Do you think I will feel the sway bar with Nidecker Kita boots? Just bought the select pro 2023.

    • @thegoodridesnow
      @thegoodridesnow  Год назад +1

      You should be ok with a good insole in there. The Kita isn't too soft but it all depends on how hard you crank down your straps and what kind of footbed you are used to now.

    What size is best for a 10.5 boot? I like medium Burtons, FYI.

      Different brands have different footprints. What make/model boot do you have?
