As someone who has read the original novel, I'd like to mention that Miaomiao's character was described as constantly overdressed like a colourful butterfly, maybe that's why the costumes team added so much accessories to her hair~ Chinese netizens have noted and commented on the scene where she wakes up after the attack from the water spirit, she was dressed in pink with no extra hair accessories, her hair was done in a braid because Mu Yao had been taking care of her and dressing her up! It's the super cute scene where she eats the bunny apple and goes 谢谢你啊,慕声儿~ :>> I'd like to say thank you to AvenueX too, for recommending this lovely drama to the world!!
Finally I'm watching a drama without no skipping and like you said rewinding and re-watching again. Yu Shuxin is indeed a lucky charm to her MLs. She's really good at bringing out everyone's best out of them. Her dubbing makes it so real like I don't think anyone else can match her little whines, screams, laughings and other sound effects better than herself. Hope everyone get to see how amazing she is instead of judging her based on other's hateful narratives. And Ding Yuxi really deserve the recognition. His acting delivers every emotions on point where we can feel what this character is really feeling. Both of them together really is are well matched and the chemistry is oozing way better than before.
This drama really got me with the grief angle. Making the fictional dad look exactly like her late father was a stroke of genius. I lost my dad when I was fairly young, and it hit me right in the gut. The way she immediately starts trying to fix his diet and make him exercise came straight out of dreams I've had.
me too omg, I actually don't have a dad figure in my life but the way they shot the scene + the music, as soon as she hugged her dad (1st episode) my tears came running down, when I was watching it was 2AM I had to restrain myself from not just bursting into full out bawling
I feel you, mate. I didn't expect I would cry while watching that father-daughter scene, it was unexpected. I thought watching it will only make me laugh and feel butterflies for the sweet scenes. IT WAS SO GOOD. I really love Xinxin & Yuxi. ;(
the best part was when she gave him the location of a gold mine and she said she always had wished she could give his parents a good life 😭😭 something like that it was so relatable i bawled so hard 😭
Yu shuxin acting in her comfort zone. But she actually stated that playing this type of character is actually really hard. And the style of the hair and clothes are replications of the manhua. So they try to make it as close as possible to the image everyone knows.
this drama is legit so good; havent skipped a single scene and demand has been so high now they have decided to release two episodes at a time for good reason! great storytelling, pacing and the acting is just on point! and the costuming 😍
@awesomemess3005 I agree! I'm new to Chinese dramas, and so far, this has easily become one of my favorites out of all types of dramas I watched! A lot of period dramas tend to be too melodramatic and slow paced with boring storytelling. This one, thankfully, is not like that at all. I binge watched 15 episodes in a few days. 😂
@@michellen6612 oh my goodness me too! I hate how long Chinese dramas can be and can feel really boring and dragged out. But this drama even though it's long is paced really well. Every episode leaves me on edge and I am rooting for all the characters.
i'm so happy that many people starting to love esther yu because in this drama, and ding yuxi got been recognized too and gained 1m followers on weibo.
The first C drama of 2024 that I have been watching without skipping any scenes, and the only C drama making me and my friend laugh so hard then crying later while watching, and for that I treasure it even more 🥰. There’s no exceed screenplay or conversation in the first 10 eps so far. The screen writers really know how to take the essence of game conversations and transfer it to a movie. The female lead role is destined for Yu Shuxin cause she’s been acting without really acting there. Beyond expectation. Literally smth to look forward to after coming home from work 🥰🥰
I loved how this drama touched up on father and daughter’s love and bond. I also lost my father and was crying when she saw her father. This is a bond that you don’t see much in drama land.
Their chemistry is no kidding. IMO no one can pull ling miaomiao other than yu shuxin. She’s perfect for this role. What you said about Ding Yuxi was all right. He really shines in this drama, am glad people start noticing how good he acts and how good looking he is. Well deserved. I mean I’ve loved him since intense love but this drama makes me love him even more haha Ps: not between the leads fandom but the fandom war is already happening between yyxh and the story of pearl girl🤣🤣
It’s so ridiculous bc why can’t we all just love both dramas? They are so different dramas. I love I can hop between the this fun one and the serious one.
@@Xetteficationyesss. Am currently watching yyxh, fof and tsopg, I like them all but with different percentages. Last 2022 when lltg and lbfad were airing I also watched both of them, I liked both but more towards lltg. This time I like yyxh more so it’s just matter of preference..
I absolutely love this drama, Love Game in Eastern Fantasy. The chemistry from Moonlight is still there, so the story goes along seamlessly. Esther Yu is a very underestimated actress because she pulls off comedic characters to perfection. Ryan Ding is a superb actor. He's good in every and any role, not to mention he's very easy on the eyes. I hope it becomes a big hit like Love Between a Fairy and Devil.
I know everyone has different tastes but for me LGEF is the drama that heals me during my final exams. This drama is so entertaining. I think YSX makes this drama more enjoyable and I agree on DYX. He really suits this kind of character and the chemistry between them is insane. I already finished ep15 and I can’t wait to see more.
Yu shuxin made Ling miaomiao her own because I couldn't see anyone playing Ling Miaomiao but her 😩❤️ She did amazing in this role. It might be her comfort zone but she owns that comfort zone 😂
What I enjoy about Esther Yu's performance is not only is this her perfect comfort zone character but she adds in the extra small movements here and there that add extra flavor. Example in the part where she takes her father to the market her hand jestures, posture, and the funny little fake walk away extra feet hops make the scene even more entertaining. Previously, I thought she was a decent actress with a good singing voice but this drama has shown me that she is so much more. I think Avenue X is correct that Ryan Ding is best in Black Lotus rolls. Hopefully this drama shines all the way to the end.
I am a big fan of Yu Shuxin. Early this year when Sword and Fairy (Yu Shuxin & Xu Kai) aired, I watched the drama in the middle of the night on the hospital floor, accompanying my father who was sick and then passed away. Since then until now I have never continued Sword and Fairy, it is very unfortunate because I really like Yu Shuxin. How surprised I was because in this drama Ling MiaoMiao could meet her father in another world. Seeing them together, hearing their conversation felt like it healed my wounds.
I think the word you’re looking for is “mischievous” for the male lead actor. I agree completely that he’s much better at playing not perfect male characters.
Ryan ding in the sword and the rose with Lucy I love him in that drama. And the same thing is for xu kai I really love him in military academy with bailu he had a totally mad , hilarious and michivius character, I think was his best work
While watching this drama it felt like having a 7 course meal in a 5 star restaurant. Because it has the right amount of cuteness, emotions, visuals, cinematography, graphics and heart touching dialogues. Additional some gen Z humours which is added here and there haha. Not a single boring moment till epi 15. Idk what'll happen next but surely it's going to be my comfort drama in the future. Yu Shuxin is super hilarious, she's so cute i couldn't stop cooing on her subtle little gestures. While Ryan Ding is the perfect male lead this drama could have. His eyes talk more than his mouth. Loved his micro expressions in some critical scenes.
I went in without any expectations and it made me laugh and cry so hard. You’re absolutely correct, this is a perfect drama for Yu Shuxin and Ding Yuxi!
Didn't find this show too appealing from the trailer. But I trust AvenueX expertise, so just started watching. Agree with the exceptional quality of this drama. Even down to the detail of shooting a scene using warm-coloured lighting when FL first meets her game-dad. Without using words, without in your face boring exposition, the hint that this is about relationships, the warmth of a good relationship is beautifully done. It's been so long since I've seen a show that respects the intellect as much as be entertaining. Awesome shout out in opening and credits to 2D, retro game interface.
I kept agreeing with AvenueX throughout this whole video bc yyxh/love game in eastern fantasy is really just that amazing! Obviously everyone has different tastes but this drama in itself is just very entertaining and engaging. Acting wise it’s obvious how well the two leads work together. As a fan I of course hope that it would be just as big of a hit as lbfad if not even bigger, but realistically I know that it’s not an easy feat. Regardless I really want everyone to give this drama a chance. Just watch three episodes and I’m sure you’ll be hooked!
I went into this drama without much expectations but was pleasantly hooked. The main leads and the secondary leads are all capable actors in delivering the essence of their characters. This is the perfect drama to watch during the busy holidays up ahead. It's fun without being too silly, it has good relationship dynamics among all the characters, intriguing background of the main and secondary leads and an entertaining plot. I really enjoyed the drama.
as the novel reader i really appreciate how this drama deliver the line like when miao miao washed musheng clothes im really satisfied about that scene and how they unpredictably keeping cuicui as their team haha
For me, this drama is well balanced in every aspect. Acting, Story Telling, CG and designs and costumes and the chemistry among the casts, It is so well blended and worked out. Remake of a big IP novel is a hit or miss , in this case, I am glad it's HIT. Everyone who watch the drama only have good things to talk about. And yes Ding yuxi really suits with this character and he did so well . And Esther Yu , her acting is so natural and she's even good at comedic parts . Like you said, she already designed the character in her head, she's the chosen Ling Miao Miao. Overall, this is really a great drama to watch and it's entertaining. Really enjoying it a lot .
Why do some fandoms do this? Taking credit for anothers acting claiming your own fave played a role in it? It’s so off putting & really doesn’t reflect well on her or your fandom. Those two guys just happened to find good well written roles that fit themselves and acted them out well. That’s why they were shining. Not cuz of her. Same as YSX, she needed this role where yet again she plays a bubbly over the top girl cuz in other rolse she didn’t shine as much. Besides YSX chemistry with Vin Zhang, Xu Kai or Zhang Linghe was all bland and made no noise at all. With Zhang Linghe it was even her 2nd time but they got overshadowed by side characters. She made the biggest noise with Dylan Wang (who is always praised for having good chemistry with all his FL’s as well, but never taking credit he makes them look good lol) and now with Ding Yuxi. The thing with chemistry it’s that its from TWO sides. One side cannot create chemistry alone. It’s impossible. So if you see her have good chemistry with Dylan Wang and Ding Yuxi it’s cuz THEY played a part in it. It’s cuz THEY together matched in energy and acting. Every actor will have some other actors they vibe with better than others. And YSX was lucky these two knew how to handle her energy. In that way everyone in a drama benefits from it. When leads match and both sides give & take the samen its when you see sparks and the drama’s do well and leads will be talked about a lot. She cannot do this FOR anyone. It has to come from both sides. She also needs to be lucky she will be matched with an actor that can do it
I love this drama! The aesthetic is on point and the amount of CGI, money is being spent on this drama, the chemistry between the ML and FL is great, that love tension 😊
I agree that Love in Eastern Fantasy wasn’t boring. Like in the first ep, when she entered the game, she died and was brought back after getting hit by lightning. That was funny 😂😂 I rewinded back some cute scenes too 😊😊
I read the novel and I enjoyed it, but didn’t think the story was so so good, especially because of the ending. I’ve watched all eps that are out so far and I prefer the drama over the novel!! Surprising!! They added a lot of things to improve the plot and the nice detail how her changes are shifting the plot is a nod to how the drama changed the story and now they need to reconnect with the novel by bringing them back to the imperial palace. Acting is enjoyable and their chemistry is working out. I even bought the express membership to view eps “ahead” of VIP to support them. Hope this means more dramas like these that improve the novel’s story
I completely get what you're saying about feeling as if the actors are taking their time to understand the characters and reflecting that in the way they interact. Like when she's washing his clothes, after the water demon attack, you can see the confliction on his face. He has this little tick he does where he finds himself staring at her and immediately looks away when he catches himself doing it, but it isn't in embarrassment. It's almost like he's scolding himself internally. Like he's thinking, 'what are you doing? You can't like this girl! She knows your secret'. With just one look you see that thought process and the semi-panic on his face. Like you said, sometimes an actor just gets a role that can make their acting shine more than usual and I feel like this is it for him.
AvenueX is someone who rarely say good things about almost every C drama, told you "That's one is good"... TAHT'S ONE is really really good. I trust her review... And I agree everything she said. Hoping the good and interesting plot continues till the end... ❤
Till now i like this drama very much . The chemistry is so good and esther yu is so funny i laughed so much while watching and even cried during emotional scenes
Yu shuxin did really well portraying Ling MiaoMiao especially when I read the manhua, she reacts and acts just like her which is super satisfying to see because watching yu shuxin do those animated and comedic reactions without it being too much is SUPER ENJOYABLE AND FUN 🥺❤️❤️❤️ She knows how to balance them really well!
Yu ShuXin is just good at what she does. When it’s something she’s in, it might not be perfect but I know it will be watchable and interesting bc she’s really good at creating good chemistry with her partner
Bruhh team smash the repeat button here... I rewatch the scene a few times while everyone asleep at night. Like doing vice activity... on my tablet under my blanket and squale like a little girl. I watch this drama with my husband and I know he will rolled eyes if I keep repeating the scene infront of him. I hope I am not the only one who doing it 😂😂😂
i went in blind for this drama just for the lead pairing bc I loved their chemistry in their previous work and they did not disappoint. I share the same sentiment abt ding yuxi not fully getting to shine in his past works, I've always been a fan of his bc he's a good actor, but i wasn't vibing his past few works n only after watching this show I felt him coming alive thru this character, he just fits this kinda role so good; idk if it's direction, character setup or his exceptional chemistry w esther yu, but they've worked on his favor. another thing i wanna add is how much I love esther yu in this kinda bubbly role, probably the only actress I can watch act over cutest n still not find it cringe bc it feels that's just how her character would act; love her as villainess in all those og timeline flashbacks too.
The very first time I burst out laughing watching a Chinese period drama and I was not expecting that !! That scene when she fake cried to make him apologise I’ve seen that done so many times but that was the best for me 😂
The only drama in 2024 so far that I never forwarded or skipped scenes but even rewatched because I laughed so hard. Also glad, DYX finally getting his flowers for this, he’s really good at microexpressions. YSX is the best MiaoMiao, her cutesy isn’t forced so I love it.
I was so pleasantly surprised by this drama. I was skeptical at first but I’m so glad I went through with watching it. There were so many times it made me laugh out loud and sob my eyes out too, the writing for this was very good and the ending turned out much more thoughtful and meaningful than I’m used to for costume/fantasy dramas. & like you said, I found myself rewatching scenes again and again because they were so good. I wasn’t a fan of Esther Yu in A Love Between Fairy and Devil but her charm worked very well for this drama. It was refreshing to see her with her charm but also being natural-unlike other dramas where the FL is written to look and be perfect at all times. (Think back to her star position on the ground haha, that was hilarious). I loved her in this drama. Moreover, Ding Yuxi is the reason I chose to give this drama a chance and he absolutely killed this role. I came from watching him in Melody of Golden Age and I’m a big fan of his acting. I am so proud of him. I hope he continues to get the love and attention he deserves. This drama is an absolute gem ✨
Esther Yu has perfected her "comfortable role" of being a mischievous, hilarious cutie pie to a fine art! 😂 I doubt any other actress can achieve this adorable, pouty lips effect! Avenue X is absolutely right. Lead guy Ding is best in a gray role that has shades of darkness. The chemistry of this pairing is so effortless and explosive! 🎉❤ I love the fresh plot line - am so tired of vengeance-seeking female victims. The mystical aspects and pacing make this an enjoyable drama.😍 I read today that Ding Yuxi is an 11th hour replacement for the male lead role....wow, talk about a lucky, winning break! Happy for him and Esther for swinging another successful drama hit together!👍👍👍🩷🩷🩷🩷
Hi, what does it mean that Ding Yuxi is 11th hour replacement role for the male lead? Did he get the role last minute? Because if that’s what happened then he is incredibly talented, since he absolutely owned Mu Sheng
@@koukazuki6927 1st ml was rumoured to be chengyi. Unfortunately he got injured. Then 2nd ml was chen feiyu. The drama ALMOST announced him as male lead. Then boomm, his scandal pop up few days or weeks before the official announcement. So it was quite chaos when that happened. And finally from what rumour said, shuxin herself recommend ding yuxi to the director.
I want to cry😭😭 it's like she's speaking in my behalf for real!!! Now I know the reason why I keep replaying the drama and I totally agree with everything she said about Ding Yuxi And Yu shuxin is the perfect actor and actresses to play this role😍🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😻😁 Yu shuxin and Ding Yuxi Chemistry is❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I think it's important to note that whoever is the person behind the storytelling knows what their doing because this isn't really anything we haven't seen before nor is anything really phenomenal about the characters and arcs. My only hope now is for it not to crash because every episode goes by too fast and I need faster airing dates
I went in without much expectations. I liked both the main leads in moonlight and wanted to see how this would turn out. And this one didn't disappoint. I have watched till episode 15 and I'm still pretty hooked. It's hilarious and so damn cute. This is definitely Ding Yuxis best look. The style suits him so well. Both the main leads have really good chemistry. Hopefully it will continue till the end. The only complaint that I have is that, the 2nd lead couple's story is quite slow.
Yes, progress in the story of the second couple is slow, because even the original story was slow. This is why the main heroine hated the original story, because even their romantic story ended before it began.
I have to say that I myself was not into yu shuxin dramas bcs of her voice but after watching mjty I started watching her in variety shows and slowly loving her and her voice. Now I really think that she is so unique and not everyone can play those characters as she does. Hope she gets more dif roles that just roles that fits in her comfort zone ❤
it becomes my comfort drama! everyday i’m looking forward to it! yu shuxin & ding yuxi definitely nailed this! and the plot is good! even the demons & other sides characters are good!!
Esther Yu and Ryan Ding are such a treat to watch in 永夜星河! Their synergy is incredible, and it’s clear they put a lot of heart into capturing the little details of their characters. They bring so much depth to their roles, making each scene feel so real, natural and captivating. Truly a fantastic duo Hope they can collaborate in another drama in the near future
Esther yu facial expressions ,voice n body language makes the drama more interesting .. I am sure nobody can pull off that role. She is the perfect miao miao. And I realised dat Ryan is one hot sexy handsome guy .. 🎉
im so glad everyone's tuning into this drama. it's such a good plot, well fleshed out characters, and great execution with the cgi and costuming. man, the COSTUMING! sometimes i get distracted just staring at their clothes and hair accessories lol. yu shuxin has always been that girl, she slays in these roles and it's not easy toeing the line between adorable and cringe. she hits that mark perfectly, and not a lot of cdrama actors can pull of what she can. ding yuxi has always, always been exceptional - i've been waiting for him to get his big break since romance of tiger and rose and i think this is it. DING YUXI PACK UP AND RISE TO THE TOP!!!! it's his a-list actor era
im so tried of the same haters talking about yushuxin's voice every time. they just like to pretend my journey to you didn't exist and that yushuxin didnt portray yunweishan so well. yushuxin is a versatile actress. and if you speak mandarin you know her diction and flow is excellent.
People may not like her voice and may not hate her. Please stop considering every opinion as hate speech, because most of the time it is just a point of view, a legitimate personal taste.
I hate people just keep complaining about her voice. I mesn it suits her role in this drama so well, and most importantly it’s not as annoying as you would expect. I like it a lot so far.
Highly recommended drama,Ding Yuxi prowess in acting is superb,He is really great actor but still underated. His acting way back in ( Melody of Golden Age) is outstanding. For the Fl Esther Yu,shes bubbly and fun to watch..
I absolutely agree.. this drama is so fresh and enjoyable.. not boring at all. I first started with the story of the pearl girl and thought I can watch this until the next episodes.. guess what I unexpectedly enjoy this one much more as TSOPG (with TSOPG we have a strong FL but ML is somehow not working for me.. didn’t get the chemistry) now it’s the way around…both leads work so well together.. FL so funny and charming. ML gorgeous and very expressive.. both together so adorable.. my fav drama this year together with the double.. we see, if you have a good story and the fitting characters you don’t even need a big production..
I am on episode 20 and love it. I am not a big fan of Yu Shu Xin because of her baby voice, but I have to say she really did well in this drama. She controlled her voice, and there were variations. All the actors portrayed their roles beautifully. I cannot wait for the rest of the show.
I am really enjoying this drama. More than the other one that seemed a bit too dark. The latest, ep. 15 had some moving scenes but the end of the Treasure Boutique and freeing those demons made me feel so happy. Thank you.
Best CDRAMA I've watched this WHOLE year!!! No one can portray MiaoMiao like Esther and Yuxi killed his character Zi Qi. I love them and I hope to see more of them in future projects!!!
I've been loving this one so far. The action of main leads is on point and they really have good chemistry. It also has nice aesthetics. Big praise coming from AvenueX.
Not a fan of time traveling c-dramas. However I'm absolutely hooked with this one. Loving this drama! The chemistry has always been good bt ryan and Esther. Also like the chemistry w/the 2nd leads.
Ding Yu Xi eally knows how to act with his eyes, while waiting for new episodes I had watched again all the old episodes and not a single moment that I don"t notice his eyes, every time he looks at Yu Shuxin, through each episode his eyes expressed increasingly intense emotions, you can see clearly his feeling for her growing in each episode.😍To me the best part is when Ding Yu Xi's demon transformation scene, that is the moment when Ding Yu Xi had found his light aka Yu Shuxin plus the ost at that moment was brilliant, so I'd binge watching that part over and over these days.🥰
Finally! I've been waiting for AvenueX review 😂. This drama is indeed the best idol drama so far this year. Fingers crossed we don’t get a crap rush ending🤞
This drama is so adorable and addictive! Not my usual genre but the performances of all actors just elevate the drama into something special! Esther yu is great in this! I can’t believe ppl criticizing her voice ?? for me her voice, enunciation and tone are really musical and pretty and makes Ling Miao Miao more adorable
Yu shuxin also stated that when playing similar characters people will habitually act or do something similar in the same situation. So she makes note that she has acted this way before so she has to act in a different way for people to differentiate her characters and also be logical to her characters thought process.
omg thank God you are liking it, I have been waiting for the drama ever since I read the book and manhwa. they are doing a good job so far, hopefully it stays that way.
Omgash!!! I haven't finished this video and I completely AGREE with EVERYTHING you said. All those points you stated were what made me thought this drama was so well made. I even got tears from the father and daughter relationship even though I knew it was coming, which shocked me. I love ALL the little details and yes the tragic demon couple got me feeling aweee for them too, and I also thought the 2nd leads were meant to be leads in the novel just because of how strongminded the 2nd fl is and how strong, nice, and handsome the 2nd ml is. Definitely, agree about Ding Yuxi - He's always been a good actor that just needed the right role, script, and team.
Finished this drama. I think this one deserves a full review from AvenueX 'cause it's that good and there's quite a bit to unpack. I'm currently pondering whether it could've used another episode as an epilogue though.
omg it's been a long time since the last time i visited your channel and now i'm back because i knew you would make a video about it!! heavily agree on ding yuxi part. the sunshine gentle role doesn't make him shine exceptionally. his ability in micro expressions for cunning witty characters is way too good to be wasted on boring characters so i'm really glad he played this role. enjoying this drama so much. a solid storytelling still consistent until 20+ episodes. it got me laugh, cry, tearing up, irritated like i'm so into it. the friendship between those four (and cuicui) is everything. the family bond between these families are also strong. i feel like this drama has an excellent level of depth and i freaking love it! everyone does their part really well!! definitely going to be a drama that i would watch for the second time.
Loving this drama so far. I'm so glad Ding Yuxi finally has a drama that lets him shine. I've always enjoyed his performances even if the drama fell short. I thought he worked well with Ester Yu in Moonlight - one of my favorites. I'm happy to report that they "still got it."
This show is such a joy to watch honestly after all the serious and dramatic stuff (not to mention some trainwrecks cough kmlm cough) 😌 there's lots of fun but also lots of sincerity and heart in it, loving it
I really wanted to watch a good chinese period drama and came looking to your channel, and as always, you didnt disappoint me! As soon as I started watching I loved the drama, the setting gave me so much Inuyasha vibes hahahahha, I even payed the special pass they have here on RUclips so I could watch all the newest episodes, Im waiting for ep 24 and Im so exited! To be honest I really liked how quirky their clothes were hahahahha, really goes with the magical vibes of the drama, also loved how both couples are developing, next episodes are actually gonna give us a lot of content for the second leads! Lastly, as a huge fan of Love between the fairy and the devil, this has been just as amazing (I just hope the ending here is better, lol). Thank you so much for helping me find another amazing drama again!!!!!
I think Ding Yuxi is a good actor, but he can be an awesome actor when he plays a dramatic role that gives him abundant room of creativity. I notice this when he played ‘mad hat’ in the iqiyi acting competition (where he got the first place). That’s the first time I felt that his talent as an actor stand out from all the other actors and grabbed all my attention. And he convinced me that he is undoubtedly a male lead material.
Yeah...Avenuex I may do not know about the color palate 😅but the drama attracted me most because they followed comic's vesion costumes... The dresses of lead characters were just like this drama's comic version....And as a comic reader I definitely appreciated it...And I think the actors and actresses gave the role justice.... While watching this drama, I also went to check comic what did happen at that point of story😂😂😂 So glad they did not destroyed my fav comic's story..❤❤
@pandasounds03 Become the girl of black lotus/ The guide to capturing the black lotus... Just search in google... U will find various sites that had this manga...🤗
I really like the drama thus far. My first thought when i saw all of the beads, flowers etc was that you wouldn't like that 😂. To me it's a fun watch - at least up to ep 11. The actors are doing a great job. Thanks for your insight 🫶
I’ve watched ep 15 so far and can’t wait for more to be broadcast. You’re spot on in your analysis of the two leads Yu Shuxin and Ding Yuxi, the pacing of the story and narrative. Interested to hear your views of Zhu Lian Yu Mu. Pearl Girl. I’ve heard quite a few flaks about that one and hesitating to start on it.
I fell asleep on Ep 1 of Tiger and Rose so I dropped that drama & didn’t wanna watch anything with DYX in it but finally, this drama works for me. The comedy is really good and plot is interesting. Never a dull moment.
It's the super cute scene where she eats the bunny apple and goes 谢谢你啊,慕声儿~ :>>
I'd like to say thank you to AvenueX too, for recommending this lovely drama to the world!!
❤❤❤
me too omg, I actually don't have a dad figure in my life but the way they shot the scene + the music, as soon as she hugged her dad (1st episode) my tears came running down, when I was watching it was 2AM I had to restrain myself from not just bursting into full out bawling
I feel you, mate. I didn't expect I would cry while watching that father-daughter scene, it was unexpected. I thought watching it will only make me laugh and feel butterflies for the sweet scenes. IT WAS SO GOOD. I really love Xinxin & Yuxi. ;(
Made me cry on ep 1, xinxin did really well acting that short scene out 😭😭
the best part was when she gave him the location of a gold mine and she said she always had wished she could give his parents a good life 😭😭 something like that it was so relatable i bawled so hard 😭
For real!! 😍 I'm so glad they decided to release 2 eps per day😭😭😭🥰❤️🔥😻
@awesomemess3005 I agree!
Literally smth to look forward to after coming home from work 🥰🥰
Same here, and following religiously everyday for new ep 😭😭😭. I can’t even remember the last time I invested in drama as such
I’m guilty of skipping scenes in episode 19 🤚 it hurts too much.
Then I go back to watch it once Miaomiao bracelet is removed.
I loved how this drama touched up on father and daughter’s love and bond. I also lost my father and was crying when she saw her father. This is a bond that you don’t see much in drama land.
The scene is very well executed. ❤
Their chemistry is no kidding. IMO no one can pull ling miaomiao other than yu shuxin. She’s perfect for this role. What you said about Ding Yuxi was all right. He really shines in this drama, am glad people start noticing how good he acts and how good looking he is. Well deserved. I mean I’ve loved him since intense love but this drama makes me love him even more haha
Ps: not between the leads fandom but the fandom war is already happening between yyxh and the story of pearl girl🤣🤣
True
I agree 100%
It’s so ridiculous bc why can’t we all just love both dramas? They are so different dramas. I love I can hop between the this fun one and the serious one.
@@Xetteficationyesss. Am currently watching yyxh, fof and tsopg, I like them all but with different percentages. Last 2022 when lltg and lbfad were airing I also watched both of them, I liked both but more towards lltg. This time I like yyxh more so it’s just matter of preference..

13:50 i totally agree and the daughter-father scenes got me sobbing 🥲 esp the first scene when she run and hugged
Me too ❤
I absolutely love this drama, Love Game in Eastern Fantasy.
❤❤❤
I hope so too.
❤❤❤

Agree, Esther yu facial expressions changes ssecond and it made it more interesting to watch .
Her performance was fantastic! I am convinced she is made of pure sunshine and no one can convince me otherwise.
@@goma3088yes she is named the sunshine of the group in real life too by many of her co-stars😂❤
Seeing them together, hearing their conversation felt like it healed my wounds.
i'm so sorry for your loss but then, you haven't watched Fairy and Devil?! go watch it now

I'm so sorry for your lost. maybe u can watch Ling Miaomiao and feel more relate & feel warming by the strory between her and her father ❤.

I think the word you’re looking for is “mischievous” for the male lead actor. I agree completely that he’s much better at playing not perfect male characters.
Ryan ding in the sword and the rose with Lucy I love him in that drama. And the same thing is for xu kai I really love him in military academy with bailu he had a totally mad , hilarious and michivius character, I think was his best work
@@tle8137 Loved him in Melody of a Golden Age.
Wow, this certainly was one short drama. Ten minutes in and the credits are rolling already. If you know, you know.🤣
the most hilarious scene 🤣🤣🤣
Didn't find this show too appealing from the trailer. But I trust AvenueX expertise, so just started watching. Agree with the exceptional quality of this drama. Even down to the detail of shooting a scene using warm-coloured lighting when FL first meets her game-dad. Without using words, without in your face boring exposition, the hint that this is about relationships, the warmth of a good relationship is beautifully done. It's been so long since I've seen a show that respects the intellect as much as be entertaining. Awesome shout out in opening and credits to 2D, retro game interface.
❤
I kept agreeing with AvenueX throughout this whole video bc yyxh/love game in eastern fantasy is really just that amazing! Obviously everyone has different tastes but this drama in itself is just very entertaining and engaging. Acting wise it’s obvious how well the two leads work together.
As a fan I of course hope that it would be just as big of a hit as lbfad if not even bigger, but realistically I know that it’s not an easy feat. Regardless I really want everyone to give this drama a chance.
Just watch three episodes and I’m sure you’ll be hooked!
Your comment about rewinding on some scenes because its so adorable is so meeeee😆😆
🥰
Same😭😭😭😭😭🥰😍 i love all scenes of yu shuxin and ding yuxi
I went into this drama without much expectations but was pleasantly hooked. The main leads and the secondary leads are all capable actors in delivering the essence of their characters. This is the perfect drama to watch during the busy holidays up ahead. It's fun without being too silly, it has good relationship dynamics among all the characters, intriguing background of the main and secondary leads and an entertaining plot. I really enjoyed the drama.
❤
as the novel reader i really appreciate how this drama deliver the line like when miao miao washed musheng clothes im really satisfied about that scene and how they unpredictably keeping cuicui as their team haha
And yes Ding yuxi really suits with this character and he
did so well . And Esther Yu , her acting is so natural and she's even good at comedic parts . Like you said, she already designed the character in her head, she's the chosen Ling Miao Miao. Overall, this is really a great drama to watch and it's entertaining. Really enjoying it a lot .
❤❤❤
Honestly it seems like YuShuxin is a whole Muse for her MLs.They appear to have renewed energy when working with her.
I love Esther Yu's chemistry will all of her ml ❤
Chinese viewers said she can make them look more handsome
Ngl she seems so fun to work with 😭
Why do some fandoms do this?
She also needs to be lucky she will be matched with an actor that can do it
@@YuMa-su6znonly her own fans say and claim that😂
I love this drama!
That was funny 😂😂
I rewinded back some cute scenes too 😊😊
I read the novel and I enjoyed it, but didn’t think the story was so so good, especially because of the ending.
Lmao

But does it have a happy ending? I’m not going to watch otherwise, what’s the point.
@@bellabana In the novel, it does. The show is not done yet.
@@Ang9lShuxin ok, thanks. Where can I watch it? Tks.
Till now i like this drama very much . The chemistry is so good and esther yu is so funny i laughed so much while watching and even cried during emotional scenes
Loving how Ding Yuxi is shining in this so far! I love the different emotions he can convey with the most minor of eye or lip twitches
I agree.. I like the scene when Yu Shuxin Face puts in Ding Yu Xi's palm.... Really adorable, i watch it more than 3 times 😂
It was too adorable 😻
Ding Yuxi's stronger than me because I would be pinching her cute cheeks if she did that to me 🥺🥺
Bruhh team smash the repeat button here...
I rewatch the scene a few times while everyone asleep at night. Like doing vice activity... on my tablet under my blanket and squale like a little girl. I watch this drama with my husband and I know he will rolled eyes if I keep repeating the scene infront of him.
I hope I am not the only one who doing it 😂😂😂
@cleodux you're not alone... Lol
My kid found that scene hilarious.
i went in blind for this drama just for the lead pairing bc I loved their chemistry in their previous work and they did not disappoint.
That scene when she fake cried to make him apologise I’ve seen that done so many times but that was the best for me 😂
AAAA YES. The fact that we get the stamp of approval from you on this drama, I am screaaaaming. ❤
💯
Finally, a happy and satisfactory period drama for Avenuex after months of complaining 😅🎉
Ding Yi Xi is great in Melody of a Golden Age as well!
I think it's important to note that whoever is the person behind the storytelling knows what their doing because this isn't really anything we haven't seen before nor is anything really phenomenal about the characters and arcs. My only hope now is for it not to crash because every episode goes by too fast and I need faster airing dates

This drama is awesome. I'm starting to love it more and more with each episode. Thanks for the review!
Yushuxin is really in her element in this drama, which is really easy and fun to watch. I still not up to date, but surely I will continue it.

Esther Yu and Ryan Ding are such a treat to watch in 永夜星河! Their synergy is incredible, and it’s clear they put a lot of heart into capturing the little details of their characters. They bring so much depth to their roles, making each scene feel so real, natural and captivating. Truly a fantastic duo

im so glad everyone's tuning into this drama. it's such a good plot, well fleshed out characters, and great execution with the cgi and costuming. man, the COSTUMING! sometimes i get distracted just staring at their clothes and hair accessories lol.
yu shuxin has always been that girl, she slays in these roles and it's not easy toeing the line between adorable and cringe. she hits that mark perfectly, and not a lot of cdrama actors can pull of what she can. ding yuxi has always, always been exceptional - i've been waiting for him to get his big break since romance of tiger and rose and i think this is it.

Out of all the dramas that came in the same day, this drama is the best in my opinion…lighthearted, funny, and cute 🥰 it relieves my stress from work
It's really good, I'm on episode 16 and boy it's sooooo good, Ester is super fun in this one too
I am really enjoying this drama.

I’ve been waiting for most of the episodes to come out to watch! I’m really excited to watch this drama.
Finally! I've been waiting for AvenueX review 😂. This drama is indeed the best idol drama so far this year. Fingers crossed we don’t get a crap rush ending🤞
Definitely gonna watch it! I agree... 2024 has given mainly average-bad c dramas. Hope we have more surprises this last 2 months!
Same! I really love her voice! ❤
It will be my favorite drama this year because the drama is really that good, especially the one starring Yu Shuxin and Ding Yuxi.❤
This series is just too good in making you cry: cry in laughter and bawl in tears ❤
Finished this drama. I think this one deserves a full review from AvenueX 'cause it's that good and there's quite a bit to unpack. I'm currently pondering whether it could've used another episode as an epilogue though.
I tell everyone that Moonlight is the second season, because his roll in that is an author and she plays his editor.
I have been LOVINGGGG watching this drama so far, it is so much fun
omg it's been a long time since the last time i visited your channel and now i'm back because i knew you would make a video about it!!
heavily agree on ding yuxi part. the sunshine gentle role doesn't make him shine exceptionally. his ability in micro expressions for cunning witty characters is way too good to be wasted on boring characters so i'm really glad he played this role. enjoying this drama so much. a solid storytelling still consistent until 20+ episodes. it got me laugh, cry, tearing up, irritated like i'm so into it. the friendship between those four (and cuicui) is everything. the family bond between these families are also strong. i feel like this drama has an excellent level of depth and i freaking love it! everyone does their part really well!! definitely going to be a drama that i would watch for the second time.
I AM SO HAPPY THAT YOU LOVE IT I LOVE THIS ONE TOO
Loving this drama so far. I'm so glad Ding Yuxi finally has a drama that lets him shine. I've always enjoyed his performances even if the drama fell short. I thought he worked well with Ester Yu in Moonlight - one of my favorites. I'm happy to report that they "still got it."
Yeah, this one is unexpectedly good. I am loving it too.
I´m so into this drama that I already rewatched scenes several time because they´re so good....the first time Miau Miau took of his headband ❤🔥
Oh my god, we waited so long for something actually good.
While watching this drama, I also went to check comic what did happen at that point of story😂😂😂
So glad they did not destroyed my fav comic's story..❤❤
Can you share the comic name and where to read?

I agree with you every point, as of now I hope there are no strange thing happen in this drama
I jist realized this is adaptation of my favorite manhua / novel. I am satisfied with Yu Shuxin and Ding Yuxi. Both are so perfect for this drams.
I really like time travel and stuff but these days it just doesn't make sense anymore.
Happy to finally see a reasonable time travel genre drama😊
