Can’t see how killer instinct would be considered shameless it’s one of the best fighting games for its era. Also the fighting game genre always got inspiration from other fighting games, competitive fighting games wouldn’t exist without sf2 world warrior and a game like sf1 would not exist without games like karate champ, urban champion, way of the exploding fist and Yie at kung fu basically making the fighting game genre a thing.

Personally, I think both Primal Rage & Killer Instinct need to make a comeback. Primal Rage, because of it's original premise. Killer Instinct is hardly a "shameless rip-off". While there are some similarities, the pre -rendered graphics, rounds, and especially the combo system set it apart. It's incredibly complex, and not in an overly technical way. Once you learn the combo system, it's unlike any other fighting game. I'm glad we've reached the point to where I can play the arcade version on my phone. I love it playing it that much.

It would be great if Naughty Dog remade Way of the Warrior with their knowledge today. Killer Instinct is loved by many and is one of the originators of the combo systems you see today. If Primal Rage was redone like MK it could be amazing. Personally I loved Clayfighter 64 and it’s successor.

I have played and enjoyed Killer Instinct and Clayfighter. Yeah, Clayfighter was slow, but the characters were fun. I'd love to see what could be done with Clayfighter on modern consoles, with modern graphics and gameplay. Also briefly played Primal Rage, but I remember very little. Couldn't you eat the little humans running around in the background? Also, that first one that had so many finishing moves looked interesting. Seeing a woman in a bikini shoot a fireball fart to kill someone looks funny as hell.

I remember seeing a print ad for Way of the Warrior. To this day, I've never found a way to play it. The music was rad. Xenophage reminds me of Fighting Masters I played on Sega. I LOVE the Street Fighter movie game. I'm ok with this clone and it being one of the worst launched games. I love having Ming Na and Kylie Minogue at my fingertips to kick ass. I bet Cat Fight could have been good if it wasn't so slow. Wow, it looks janky. Clayfighter....takes me back to when I rented the n64. Earthworm Jim as a guest character! KI and Primal Rage are actually some great clones of MK, they aren't detailed poorly or have sprites that are crusty, and they have an actually good storyline with nice characters.

Clay Fighter was a fun series, but yeah, it was ponderous to play. As much as I wanted to love the Primal Rage series, I swear the ape characters cheated to high Heaven and low Hell. And Killer Instinct made me give up on it due to similar difficulty.
I didn’t find Street Fighter the Movie game all that bad. I liked it myself. The arcade version gets a lot of heat, but I’m still able to approach it like I did on SF2 on the Genesis and the only real difference I find is the aesthetics, it’s not 100% SF2 but good enough. It gets omitted probably more to do with the movie being a turd, the game not doing well and acclaim handling the home ports
I was lucky enough to have a 3DO as a teenager with lots of games. Way of the warrior and ssf2t are the only games I played on it despite having over 20 games. Also road rash was awesome.

NGL, I had fun with Clayfighter series and was sad when the Wii version got canceled.
I never played any of these and I don’t plan on ever doing so! I’m a hardcore mk fan and these knock off games are just insulting to me nothing will ever come to me but Mortal Kombat
