The story of this song resonates on both levels, the African American and the Christian. The devil does nothing new...the slavery that was prevelent in American was the same demonic crap that the Hebrews dealt with in Egypt..the devil has no new tricks, just dresses them in different covers. Harriet Tubman was indeed, in her time, a modern day Moses...and the result was very much the same. The song tells the truth, and the dance is a beautiful portrayal of that truth...The two, song and dance, are together, incredibly moving! Thank you for sharing. God bless!
You are correct. But one must must separate the choreography and performance from the vid direction. Personally I feel that this choreogrpahy would have been perfect in an old American factory surroundings... But still, I raise my hat to the choreogrphy and performance

This choreo presented so well as a digital showcase. Not only was the production filmed with a quality lens, but each site chosen at this gorgeous property conveyed a different mood. The postures of resilience started soft yet became so strong. With the reaching and pyramids, I definitely felt the nod to the Black Womxn's ability to #StandUp and stand tall, in all phases of life's hills, we go on.
