Where I live in York there are a few of the original traction poles dotted around the city and some buildings retain the tram roses. The last original tram lines or track was found under the tarmac on Lendal Bridge during repair works in the year 2000. It's amazing to see the poles and roses supporting overhead power cables as I have seen in photos of York in the 1910's and 1920's. Watching this is the closest, you can get to a day in the life of the people who lived a hundred years ago.

Crich is pretty good at replicating what it was like to take the tram back in the day.
