  • Experience the NP4V Vintage pickup, where warmth intertwines with a rich, creamy tone!
Looking to get one of these? You can find the NP4V pickup here: nordstrandaudi...
I am not affiliated or endorsed by Nordstrand. All pickups have been paid out of pocket for the channel
The signal chain is plugged direct from an Ampeg RB112 onto a Universal Audio Volt 276 in Logic Pro X. Using no plug-ins and a teeny bit of compression from the Volt 276 in play-throughs.
For strings I used on this review: DR Pure Blues 45-105 & La Bella Deep Talkin Flatwounds 760FS 45-105

Hi, friend!! Thank you very much for your videos, I am looking to change a pickup for my Sire P5 bass, the stock pickup is very good, but I am looking for a pickup with a slightly more vintage sound, of all the ones you have tried, which one do you decide on? , for fender 60, fender 62, fender 63, I also found the SD SPB-1 interesting, price, characteristics, it seems very good too, what do you think is the best option to obtain a classic Motown-type vintage sound?

Hey friend! Best pickup that describes your choice of tone, I’d consider looking into the Fender 62s. I liked those when I had em on a Fender P bass years ago. Hope this message serves you well, thanks!

I feel like these are the biggest difference. Tighter bass, more mids, smoother top end. Subtle but it's there. Are these pickups quiet? I have a Fender PV '63 and it's microphonic when you touch the cover which is super annoying.

These pickups are quiet but not as quiet as the Fender PVs from my personal experience
