Causeway Bay? We should get together for a game sometime :) I also looked at the mat tiles as an idea, mainly for terrain rather than the base surface, and ended up going with the big cloth mat for now. Maybe a future project though - I've seen some lovely tables using tiles as you describe.

Good space solution! I live in CWB, so I've settled for jigsaw yoga mat tiles (1 foot square ones) textured with paint and pva.
