@@theduckgoesmoo It was better than having a solid thumbnail that you couldn't see behind blocking things. Also you could get creative with them and create fun little messages if you felt like it. When you watch one of those videos it feels like the creator is talking directly to you in a way. As you saw in the video, you could do quite a bit... aside from annotation hands anyway.
Alan did a BTS video on this video and he explained that part of the entire process was asking permission from all the youtubers to use a segment of their video in his. He showed in the BTS video a LONG excel sheet of people he's asked, who said yes, etc. It's crazy the amount of work he puts into his videos.

@@NekkiNosra07 i think i understood the wrong thing, since he was talking about the stick figures pressing buttons and then annotations, i may have interpreted it as him talking about the annotations button.
There’s still a dislike button, you just can’t publicly see the number of dislikes anymore.
If you enter the watch link in the URL seen when green uploaded himself, you get an actual unlisted but publicly watchable video of green just sitting there. :)
Not just sitting there, but several escape attempts, and you get that actual escape sequence at the end!
The amount of work Alan Becker puts into his videos is amazing

I’ve never seen badgers before and dude I hate the new upload interface so much. You ever realize how the upload screen and creator studio got dark mode like 2 years after main RUclips did. Every time I went to upload or make a title or description I got flashbanged
