The giant symbol at the end is the "Aleph"(Al-ef) it's essentially a substitute for any infinite set of numbers(it's a bit more then 'just' infinity). While Euler's number is the thing "Second Coming"(orange) was chasing, it is equal to -1, as the equation it's used in is [e^ (imaginary and 'pi') +1 =0]

And that is why it's giant
I remember a quote from comics about tech that I feel like works for animation to some degree. The more intuitive and simple it looks, the more advanced it actually is. Obviously animation clearly shows where the complexities are but also you have animation like this that doesn’t look that hard but we all know takes so much work

Alan: I said “Bet”

The huge thing at 15:28 is 'Aleph' or otherwise known as the infinity above all infinities
To be exact, it is aleph null- countable infinity. This ranges from -infinity to positive infinity.
@@GeoRoze no no, aleph null has a little zero next to the symbol
@@Hope_Len I fact checked with the member of allen becker's team that made the video, and the
"giant symbol/huge thing" at the end of the video is aleph null.
"above all infinities"? it's just an infinite cardinal set

14:07 love the detail of orange using the symbols to spell exit
Alan said it was one of his animators who is a math nerd that wanted to do this, he also shown this video to a Math Major too
If only math was actually this fun to learn.
How does one even come up with these concepts.
Alan Probably: "OK they've fought different videogames, several websites, fellow stick figures, they're very creators, what next."
Terkoiz Probably: "Oh, I know. How about the entirety of Mathematics"

@@freerobux49 yeah I typed this on Alan's channel, and then copied it to a few others 😅
"Who's the math nerd that wanted this??"
Alan's lead animator, apparently. Lol
Only Alan and Mike can make math fun
The giant thing? Say hi to aleph, he represents every countable integer.
as soon as I saw this video, I immediately wanted a game where you gotta do math, While also fighting math bosses and enemies throughout the game
each level you finish makes the math get harder, and harder.
the final boss would be that math mech the e made
doing that with the math used in this video would create a game harder than playing elder scrolls on max difficulty while not taking a single hit of damage.
@@kylarjenista5049 indeed
That's why it should exist
Dude, there's a Cambridge Math Professor and a number of PHYSICISTS that a have reacted to this. It's AWESOME to watch them react to it
I think orange was frighting the symbol because the symbol wouldn’t let orange experiment with it. He wanted to multiply it and such but it wouldn’t let him.
"Keep the shapes away from my math"

Math is important, but not when it becomes Albert Einstien's playground.
yknow, some people on the reddit have been theorising that this took place before ava 4, and that this was the way sc gained sentience
It'd be more like sapience since he shows that he has thoughts and emotions on the human level.
Sentience is just basic awareness that nearly all animals have.
Cool theory, but I think it takes place during AvA 5 (The most recent one), right after SC gets placed in the cell.
As this place SC seems to be in isn't any regular calculator app, but rather some other math dimension (Yea crazy I know, but it kinda makes sense). Maybe it was part of some sort of experiment
@@Td_Flyy The recent one is AvA 6

14:05 TSC was trying to spell Exit, so he is asking e for a way out
i is an imaginary number ! Is for factorials also e to the i pi is the constant for circles and is equal to -1 which is why it’s popping up whenever -1 is shown, it can also be written as the principal cos(pi)+isin(pi), i is the square root of -1 which is why ixi=-1 and why 4i=1. Also, the end part where everything is shattering, they’re not in negatives, they’re in the “realm” of imaginary numbers which is why all the cracks are represented by taking the square roots of negative numbers which is impossible because a negative times a negative is always positive
Somebody overcomplicated this, it isn't actually complicated, it just says all the stuff that happened in the video and why some things happened.
I think that plane is the imaginary plane.
Which is why the square root of negative numbers are there.
yep
Quite impressive indeed. Watched it for the first time this week but damn
Needs an Oscar for best animated short
14:07 just so you know he spelled exit with him and the times bar
And e to the I pit is called eulers number I herd
e by itself is Euler’s number, not e^pi(i)
Eulars number is just the e Eulars identity is e^pi(i)
okay I'm gonna explain some stuff near the beginning of the video cuz I'm bored lol
I don't know much about math myself but I can understand a pretty big portion of this
I'll be using the ^ symbol for some exponents because not every symbol I'll use has a superscript variant lol
also feel free to correct me on anything in the comments, I really don't know any complex math, I go off of random knowledge from youtube videos and stuff, so I might make a big fool of myself lmao
2:25 - That's not technically division. Sure, he divided the 2 into two 1's, but it's more like expansion. There was no property of the division symbol being used there.
3:19 - That, right there, is Euler's Identity. Don't know much about it, but apparently e^(iπ) + 1 = 0, therefore e^(iπ) = -1. It also uses "i" in it's exponent, aka the imaginary unit. More on that later.
3:30 - Here, Euler's Identity flees from TSC by multiplying itself by i. Again, more on that later.
4:25 - I'm assuming you mean the way the equation is written. No, it doesn't matter on which side you do calculations, as long as one side of it equals the other. Here, TSC is showing the concept of division through subtraction. The number of times a number (divisor) is subtracted from the other (dividend) is the answer to the division.
4:55 - Those are not factorials, they are powers, aka exponents. Frankly, it's hard to visualize it properly with the way it's animated but you can see 1's forming different dimensional shapes. That's technically what powers would look like visually. It's much easier not to think about that and just imagine them as iterations of multiplication. But, basically:
4 × 4 = 4², so it's a 2d square with all its sides equal to 4.
4 × 4 × 4 = 4³, so it's a 3d cube with all its sides equal to 4.
4 × 4 × 4 × 4 = 4⁴, so it's a 4d tesseract with all its sides equal to 4, etc...
Also, factorials are not notated by "i", I don't know what you meant there exactly lol
They use the exclamation mark and they equal the multiple of all the whole numbers up to the one they're in front of. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
5:18 - Yes, that is a square root. 4^(1/2) = √4
5:30 - I don't know if you've caught on by now, but you can't find the root of a negative number. Thus, mathematicians invented this neat little letter "i", which notates an "imaginary number". i is just used to differentiate real numbers from imaginary ones. That also explains what Euler's Identity was using to get away. It multiplied itself by i, making itself imaginary, and so, entering the "imaginary dimension".
5:39 - Here, i × i = -1, because √-1 = i
5:41 - Then -1 suddenly becomes e^(iπ) again... for the sake of the plot ;)
5:51 - TSC throws an i towards e^(iπ) as it takes one out itself. That multiplies e^(iπ) by i², cancelling it out and keeping e^(iπ) real. However, since i² = -1, Euler's Identity becomes negative.
5:57 e^(iπ) equals the cosine of π plus the imaginary sine of π. That is visualised later on in the animation.
ok I'm too lazy to type and research more lol
buuut one more thing.
13:05 - This is the imaginary dimension. Here lie some math problems that don't make regular sense...
You remember how I told you you can't find the root of a negative number? When the screen cracks, you can see a bunch of square roots with negative numbers pop out. Those are all imaginary numbers. For simplicity's sake, √-a = √a × i.
You’re one of those people who finds joy in something that brings me so much pain 😂
@@Meamery don't get me wrong, i still f#cking hate math class lol
this animation however is pretty easy for me to understand the way it's visualized, so I got very fascinated by it

Orange made a death star
1+1 is a joke in math as it does not always equal to 2. It is 1.5 in one math, 2 in another and in nuclear math, it is 100.
This shits all OVER "Donald Duck in Mathmagicland"
The thing the second coming is fighting is called e to the i pie
The giant thing is Alef, the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet and the smallest form of infinity.
From what i've seen from math experts seeing this video....the eπ manifesting from -1 is like the opposite plane of existence from the normal math grid. Thats why when it escapes it opens that right angled portal. But orange stick guy keep summoning it unintentionally so eπ decided it had enough & its War.
In the end the orange stick guy decided to teleport to its own dimension & only eπ had the key knowledge to send him.
if you've watched Arcane,.... this is probably how Jayce felt when firing his hammer blast for the first time.
