I don’t think Michael gets the credit he deserves, he is most likely going to be the winningest TT rider of all time but, because he shuns the limelight it somehow goes under the radar. I love listening to him. Top man. I think he’ll catch McPint this year.
It's not that he doesn't get credit. I think all seasoned TT fans know him well enough and know he likes to be unsociable. So it's generally just a bit of respect to leave the man alone. He's had a lot of suffering in his family when it comes to road racing alone. I get what you mean thou but honestly I think he prefers everything as it is.
@@bluebee7689 unfortunately it’s not down to you and the history books shows them as wins, so until MD wins another 3, he won’t be passed McPint in the official record books, like it or not.
I'll remember for the rest of my life the first time I saw Michael Dunlop. It was at the NW200 in 2016 at Black Hill. I knew absolutely nothing and no one about road racing. The way he went down the hill, so much faster than the others, wheeling until the front wheel finally touched the ground so he could turn while frolling the sidewalk and he kept the same line lap after lap. I was speechless, I asked a man who this guy was and he told me about the Dunlop family. I'll never forget that moment.
The name is legendary to road racing , even after a century they still speak of the dunlops . Everyone cried with him in the first race after joey passed . For sure nobody will forget them
Legitimately the most incredible but equally tragic family legacy in the history of all sport. Dunlop the name Itself is the epitome of road racing worldwide. A different breed. Ride on Michael ride on.
Michael is Micheal, and as much as people try to get him to open up, and be part of the pack, he won't and doesnt need to and shouldn't change his ways for anyone. He's definitely a Legend...
Ive seen interviews where he has (somewhat) opened up. He has a sense of humor and really showed he is a thinker as well. Nothing but respect for the Bull.
A lot of racers stop being themselves to please “the man” as they say. Michael has always been himself. Well spoken Michael a great interview and good luck for the 2023 TT
Been waiting for this one to happen but wasn’t sure it ever would. Michael is a great genuine guy. Straight talking with not an ounce of BS. A real breath of fresh air. Good luck for TT 2023.
Only recently got into motorcycling and read about his family and how many members he lost to crashes ,may the creator protect him and keep him and others involved in these sports safe 🙏🏾

I was luck enough to meet Michael's Uncle Joey, saw his Dad & Joey racing many times and of course have massive respect for William, sadly taken so young, but I have to say what a fantastic Rider and overall person MD is, just a great, great person. 24 Carat Dunlop!
Thanks Michael, you are the Captain of your own ship, and it is what we love about you, besides the next level racing. All the very best at NW200 & TT23. Aussie fan.

It seems a bit ironic to me that the TT has always been seen by most as the most dangerous race in the world ,but Joey,Robert and William were killed somewhere else.
For one, that isn't ironic. Secondly, that is a daft thing to say...they ride and race bikes every day for years so chances are they wouldn't crash to their death during that specific week. If you drive on the deadliest motorway for 2 weeks per year but drive on slightly less deadly motorways for 50 weeks per year where do you think you'd be more likely to die?
It may be ironic if they died on the safest roads possible. But the reality that they died on one of the hundreds of thousands of kilometres of road they rode other than that of a 37 mile specific route is NOT irony.
