  • Let's take a closer look at the Shaeffer S270 King Hybrid in this review from Florida Sportsman. When it comes to elegant lines and old world craftsmanship, you’d be hard pressed to find a better example of a modern boat company adhering to these standards more than Sheaffer Marine. For over three decades, Ben Sheaffer has been producing his classic 24-foot models for discerning coastal anglers who demand excellence.
More recently for 2022 their new S270 King Hybrid was introduced to allow expanded offshore capabilities while retaining the coastal fishability found on the 24. The 270 King Hybrid includes a raised foredeck and a high forward sweeping sheer line with the proud bow lines of an old classic. The line moving aft is lowered closer to the water level to more easily reach, land and release a fish- while offering a racier looking design profile.
The interior is framed 360-degrees by a comfortable bolster for fishability. Below the elevated forward casting deck are three compartments. A large, insulated fish box spans the width of the bow at the bulkhead and a pair of storage boxes are set forward. An anchor locker lies below the bow cap. At the foot of the forward console seat/drink cooler, an additional wet storage space is beneath your feet. A pair of large fish boxes are also included in the cockpit deck aft.
A helm station with seating for two offers rod storage and a large live well with a unique forward tilting top which completely exposes the top of the tank for complete access. A smaller door to remove a bait is located at the rear. A second live well is in the transom flanked by a pair of hatches that provide access to your pumps and hydraulics. Sheaffer smartly installs these items above the deck in the transom to prolong serviceability by keeping them out of a wet bilge compartment.
Beautiful finish work, top quality hardware, and attention to the smallest details are found in every inch of the S270 and the Sheaffer crew’s pride in building something special for each new owner is evident the instant you climb aboard. For anglers looking for that little something extra who know the difference, the S270 will not disappoint.

I love the content but these aren't really reviews. You never say anything negative about the boats. Is it a wet boat? What materials was it built with? Just a thought

Every boat they ever review seems to be the best boat ever made.

@@AquaMarine1000 These boat reviews are biased no matter what you think. There are some top brands but not all are. I don't know the deal this channel makes with the manufactures, but according to these reviews if it floats, it's the best thing since sliced bread.

This has a good bow design which maximises the waterline. Reminiscent of the Albury Brothers design. Cheers

That’s a nice looking boat and good thought put into the layout. Really like the transom being that it’s a hybrid make the transom fishable and they did. 3 piece which is very nice too. I love how the leaning post livewell has two ways to get into it. And the in deck fish boxes in the stern are great to see for a hybrid which you don’t see much. I think most people would do well with a hybrid like this. But worried about the price not good when they can’t even tell you what the one shown goes for ha. Must have a pretty penny

Probably run you mid 200s to 300k depending on how you spec it out. Standard hardtop and single engine vs second station twins ect.

How much further can an outboard be mounted off the transom of a boat. These designs are getting absolutely ridiculous. But according to this channel, every boat you review is the best boat ever made.

@@tomsreviews238 No but it does highlight what's in the market and that's a good starting point to do your research and talk to other owners. Spending that sort of money involves careful consideration. Don't forget some people that view the show will never buy a boat but like the idea. Cheers
