You can blame the band too. The drummer for one couldn't keep a rythim. There were also missed chords. You can't blame her fully, but musicians have a bad day.

I know its the MTV awards but you can't be dropping the ball when following in the footsteps of a perfectionists like Nita Strauss. I saw Nita play for Alice Cooper with a seriously injured ankle. She still worked the show like a perfectionist, despite the pain.

She has very good vocal technique actually. If you notice when it goes high on the "You make me glowowowAAAAowow" when it goes AAAA it's very high but she keeps her chin down instead of lifting her head up which is a good thing. Of course, once it got extremely high into G5 category she did lift her head which is natural at that pitch and also I loved how she brought in a little bit of vibrato which is rare for her especially in the upper part of her range. Great job Demi!

I never got into her music, as im more of a metal guy, but I honestly can't believe there are people saying she didn't sing well. This was, EASILY, my favorite thing she has ever done... and I thought her vocals were pretty incredible.
She used to sing better in the past but she’s still great especially her high notes.
She still is able to project her voice, but it doesn't sound as full as before. If you listen to the same songs of the past, you can hear the difference. Her current voice sounds thinner

Over exercising her voice too much OR she was out of breath and nervous… but she hit some AMAZING notes but in between, she sounded so out of breath and SINGING at the COMPLETE wrong pitch… like I said, I absolutely love her and have done for YEARS since I can remember (in my 20s now - But learning what she went through and the fact that
1)she’s still here *thank the lord for that*
2) she overcame an overd0$3 AND that’s just a couple of of things!
But the fact that she still got up and out there and gave an amazing performance
And to be quite honest, MOST other celebrities/ singers/ artists would have 100% added either a STRONG/ loud / backing track OR had backup singers/vocals either present on stage or prerecorded so tbh I ABSOLUTELY LOVEEEEE that she is who she is and I’m so proud of her because others would have crumbled and never would have returned to the spotlight after what happened and here she is as beautiful and as real as ever ❤❤❤
But I have to be honest only certain (and varied) parts were strong/amazing and beautiful but most was so shaky and off tone 😮🥹😳❤❤ but props to/for Demi for making it as good as she possibly could ❤

Whoever is in charge for Demi's microphone in her last few live performances is trying to ruin her voice by adding too much echo sounds like she's so FAR away from the mic....evey1 knows Demi can sing without auto tune unlike most of these artists it's like some1 was trying to take her shine so others wouldnt seem like the awards have been rigged. 😒
