How about dependability. Electric goes out you can cook on gas. Also the electricity is not plug and Play it's only plug and Play if the 240/ 220 has been ran four electric supply to the appliance I've had both. And prefer gas over electric. I presently have a gas stove with a air fryer and love it!
When it comes to the oven of either type don't use flimsy pans. When is heavy gauge sheet pans for cookies it seemed to help cook foods evenly even if the oven has hot spots.
I promised to never go electric when my 1yo baby put his hand on the blackened electric burner that had been turned off about two minutes before, and burned his hand. Besides the annoying delay in heating, each burner has its own private definition of each heat level. That's not 'Cooking with gas!'
That's more parental negligence more than anything. A 1 year old doesn't know what fire is and would have burnt themselves even more with a gas stove. Keep an eye on your baby.
I so wish I could get an electric convection oven and no glass cook top. I Love my cast Iron and although they say you can use it on a glass cooktop. People like me that use them all the time have scratched their cooktop up. I don't want something I have to be so careful of. Every coil burner top I have found does not have a convection oven. I need a slide in!
A inductive stove top is cool to the touch even when the burner is on. it only gets hot when a metal pan comes in contact with the surface.
What one will last longer? I've had the same gas stove for 32 years which I will be replacing do to the electrical circuit failing.

It's all about what you would prefer! Gas and electric both have their benefits. We find customers that like electric more than gas and vice versa!

New York City banned gas stoves in new building 2 years ago because gas is unsafe and unhealthy.
Sounds like he won't put his hands back up there again. Kid learned a lesson. Learned my lesson when I did it as a kid and didn't do it again

Well you can always get a gas range with an electric oven (dual fuel range), but a lot more expensive.

Its🎉way harder and more expensive to install an electric range where a gas one was before. They use different voltages.
It's not way harder, maybe an extra wire for 240 volts. I would say gas stove are way harder to install than electric.
@@EarlBalentineIf you dont have a Gas Line yes. but you can use cans. and you can Cook and Heat a room during a blackout
