We were on that cruise too and heard that one guest fell trying to board the tender and that is when Capt Stig decided to call a halt to the tendering operation. We had a view from our balcony of people boarding tenders early on, and it looked like the boats were rising and falling 3-4 feet with the swells which made boarding tricky. We didn't see that person who supposedly fell, but it doesn't surprise me that something like that could have happened. As for why we were far out of the harbor, I have no idea but on a previous trip to Cabo we were in a similar position and a Carnival ship and one other were closer to shore.
