Was a well needed trip
That first camping spot is amazing! Is that directly on the trail or adjacent?
@@soonerfrac4611 just off the trail
Hey man if you ever decide to sell the frontier I'll be first in line to buy it off you XD damn near identical to my dream build
lol oh this little fronty I have plans for. Currently keeping an eye out for a Titan I can get the 5.6V8 , transmission and transfer case out of. That’s all I’m gonna say 😂
@@Xploring_The_Outdoors YEAHHH thats gonna be sick! Do you know if the newer VK56's work in these older frontiers well?
@@Xploring_The_Outdoors Oh but if you do that my offer to buy it doubles down XD
@@valiant545 I’m reaching out to someone that does the VK swaps to find out exactly what I need to get. I’d like to have everything ready to put in once I start the process. Maybe a few engine upgrades before it gets installed
@@Xploring_The_Outdoors Always good to plan your large projects from the start. Would suck if you did the whole swap and then decided you wanted to change something. I'd be especially curious to learn what kind of MPG you get
Really nice place down there. I live in Oklahoma and want to do this trail sometime. What was the GPS coordinates for you camp site if I may ask?
I’ll have to find it , that was a spot my buddy knew about
I looked up this route on alltrails, there were many comments about it being closed and issues with private land owners. Im looking to do this on an adventure bike. Any insight on this?
Yes the all trails shows the old section that is closed that went through Arkansas to Mena. OnX shows only the section in Oklahoma that is still open. I heard land owners on the old section were upset because of all the trash left behind, the section we ran was littered with beer cans as well. I picked up probably 30 beer cans just around where we camped at. Carry extra trash bags and please help clean up the trails if you go.
The K-Trail on OnXoffroad is a loop in Oklahoma now the version on AllTrails is a straight line to Mena. Fun trail and you should be able to do it easily on adventure bike. It’s rocky that’s about it the off camber stuff probably won’t affect you being on a bike.
