@@soundslikesteveo funny, I actually saw them when they were touring rareform, they fired Grant mid tour, and they got Anthony but he had only had time to learn 2 or 3 songs. So it was a really short set and kind of a bummer, but I got to smoke them out in their van afterwards, so it was cool.
Can attest to this. My band was on the Crush Em’ All tour with them back in the day and he was 100% every night as well. Amazing to watch him

@Blodia Punch Agreed, a lot of the djent boom bands weren't very interesting. But I'll defend bands like Periphery, Tesseract and Monuments to the death. I feel like djent gets a bad rap for how much of my favorite music it's produced.

3 years ago I was listening to Dig Deep around midnight and was awe struck.
They just keep getting better especially Anthony as a vocalist. Imo they are one of the best that do this style well!
People are sleeping on it I can tell, but let me tell you guys so far this is my favorite album of the year. Lyrics/vocals, visuals, instruments all on point. Great job ATB!
Same here so far, other than Soilwork. Everyone keeps saying that Crystal Lake dropped the best thing ever but in all honestly, I find about 25% of that album to be just weird AF.

@David Bowie There's no way. Dig Deep didn't really have any "remarkable" full-bodied tone, kind of sounded like the guitar couldn't breathe at all and was compressed to hell and back. My order would be Evergreen, Wolves Within, In Dreams. Wolves Within was absolutely monumental, I still consider it the breakthrough, so many "what the hell was that sound" moments. Had never heard anything like it, Pennyweight, Neo Seoul, honestly. Evergreen is that balance where the tone is now integrated even cleaner.
The mix makes this record and specifically this song so dark and Chaosphere like. But so modern sounding at the same time. They nailed it imo
I think this is my favorite one off the new album, that outro is beautiful.

Then there’s a final play, where if you die you start again and have to do spasm again, but the final play demon berserker boss thing, that is level I don’t even know, is a dual boss fight so 2v1, Meshuggah - I and Meshuggah - Nostrum

Currently my favorite song in the world. Superb compositional skills using the end of the measures for real fast diminished offsets onto a grand scaled double bass riff on the drums. Most excellent.

I'm really in love with the engineering for your sound, because the kick drum is so punchy but doesn't take away from everything else. The tone of the guitars are so clean, and the vocals are mixed just right.
